John 6:38-40 in English

³⁸ For I am come down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

³⁹ And this is the will of him that sent me, that of all that which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day.

⁴⁰ For this is the will of my Father, that every one that beholdeth the Son, and believeth on him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

³⁸ I have come down from Heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of Him who sent me.

³⁹ This is the will of the Father who sent me, that of all He has given me I should lose none, but should raise them up at the last day.

⁴⁰ This is also the will of Him who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise them up at the last day.”

³⁸ For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.

³⁹ And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

³⁸ When I came down from heaven, it was not to do what I want. Instead, I came to do what ◄ God/my Father►, who sent me, wants.

³⁹ What the one who sent me wants is that I ◄keep forever all/never lose any► LIT of those whom he has entrusted to me. He wants me to cause all of them to become alive again ◄on the last day/on the day when I judge everyone► MTY.

⁴⁰ Long ago in the desolate area when those who were bitten by snakes looked at the bronze replica of a snake, they were healed MET. What my Father wants is that similarly everyone who looks at what I have done and believes in me will have eternal life. I will cause them to become alive again ◄on the last day/on the day when I judge everyone► MTY.”

³⁹ And this is the pleasure of him who sent me, that I am not to let out of my hands anything which he has given me, but I am to give it new life on the last day.

⁴⁰ This, I say, is my Father's pleasure, that everyone who sees the Son and has faith in him may have eternal life: and I will take him up on the last day.

³⁸ For I am come down from heaven, not that I should do my will, but the will of him that has sent me.

³⁹ And this is the will of him that has sent me, that of all that he has given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up in the last day.

³⁸ because it is not to do my own will that I have come down out of Heaven, but the will of the One who sent me.

³⁹ Now this is the will of the Father who sent me, that I should lose nothing out of all that He has given me, but should raise it up at the last day.

⁴⁰ Again this is the will of Him who sent me, that everyone who ‘sees’ the Son and believes into Him may have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

³⁸ For I came down from heaven not to do what I want, but to do what the one who sent me wants.

³⁹ What he wants is for me not to lose anyone he has given to me, but for me to raise them up at the last day.

⁴⁰ What my Father wants is for everyone who sees the Son and trusts in him to have eternal life, and for me to raise them up at the last day.”

³⁸ For I came downe from heauen, not to do mine owne wil, but his wil which hath sent me.

³⁹ And this is the Fathers will which hath sent mee, that of all which hee hath giuen mee, I should lose nothing, but shoulde raise it vp againe at the last day.

⁴⁰ And this is the will of him that sent mee, that euery man which seeth the Sonne, and beleeueth in him, should haue euerlasting life: and I will raise him vp at the last day.

³⁹ And this is the fathers will which hath sent me that of all which he hath geven me I shuld loose no thinge: but shuld rayse it vp agayne at the last daye.

⁴⁰ And this is the wyll of him that sent me: that every man which seith the sonne and beleveth on him have everlastinge lyfe. And I will rayse him vp at the last daye.

(And this is the will of the Father who sent me, that out of all those whom the Father gave to me, I shall not lose any of them, but I shall raise them all up on the Last Day.)

⁴⁰ And this is the will of my Father that sent me, that each man that seeth the Son, and believeth in him, have everlasting life; and I shall again-raise him in the last day. (And this is the will of my Father who sent me, that each person who seeth the Son, and believeth in him, have eternal life; and I shall raise each one up on the Last Day.)

³⁸ For Y cam doun fro heuene, not that Y do my wille, but the wille of hym that sente me.

³⁹ And this is the wille of the fadir that sente me, that al thing that the fadir yaf me, Y leese not of it, but ayen reise it in the laste dai.

⁴⁰ And this is the wille of my fadir that sente me, that ech man that seeth the sone, and bileueth in hym, haue euerlastynge lijf; and Y schal ayen reyse hym in the laste dai.

³⁸ because I have come down out of the heaven, not that I may do my will, but the will of Him who sent me.

³⁹ 'And this is the will of the Father who sent me, that all that He hath given to me I may not lose of it, but may raise it up in the last day;

⁴⁰ and this is the will of Him who sent me, that every one who is beholding the Son, and is believing in him, may have life age-during, and I will raise him up in the last day.'
