⁹ And thou shalt take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is therein, and shalt hallow it, and all the furniture thereof: and it shall be holy.

¹⁰ And thou shalt anoint the altar of burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and sanctify the altar: and the altar shall be most holy.

¹¹ And thou shalt anoint the laver and its base, and sanctify it.

¹² And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons unto the door of the tent of meeting, and shalt wash them with water.

¹³ And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments; and thou shalt anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister unto me in the priest’s office.

¹⁴ And thou shalt bring his sons, and put coats upon them;

¹⁵ and thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest’s office: and their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

¹⁶ Thus did Moses: according to all that Jehovah commanded him, so did he.

¹⁷ And it came to pass in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was reared up.

¹⁸ And Moses reared up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up the boards thereof, and put in the bars thereof, and reared up its pillars.

¹⁹ And he spread the tent over the tabernacle, and put the covering of the tent above upon it; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

²⁰ And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy-seat above upon the ark:

²¹ and he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

²² And he put the table in the tent of meeting, upon the side of the tabernacle northward, without the veil.

²³ And he set the bread in order upon it before Jehovah; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

²⁴ And he put the candlestick in the tent of meeting, over against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

²⁵ And he lighted the lamps before Jehovah; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

²⁶ And he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil:

²⁷ and he burnt thereon incense of sweet spices; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

²⁸ And he put the screen of the door to the tabernacle.

²⁹ And he set the altar of burnt-offering at the door of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered upon it the burnt-offering and the meal-offering; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

³⁰ And he set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water therein, wherewith to wash.

³¹ And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet thereat;

³² when they went into the tent of meeting, and when they came near unto the altar, they washed; as Jehovah commanded Moses.

³³ And he reared up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.

¹⁸ And Moses set up the tabernacle, and put on the chapiters, and put the bars into their places, and set up the posts.

¹⁹ And he stretched out the curtains over the tabernacle, and put the veil of the tabernacle on it above as the Lord commanded Moses.

²⁰ And he took the testimonies, and put them into the ark; and he put the staves by the sides of the ark.

²¹ And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and put on it the covering of the veil, and covered the ark of the testimony, as the Lord commanded Moses.

²² And he put the table in the tabernacle of witness, on the north side without the veil of the tabernacle.

²³ And he put on it the shewbread before the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.

²⁴ And he put the candlestick into the tabernacle of witness, on the side of the tabernacle toward the south.

²⁵ And he put on it its lamps before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²⁶ And he put the golden altar in the tabernacle of witness before the veil;

²⁷ and he burnt on it incense of composition, as the Lord commanded Moses.

²⁹ And he put the altar of the burnt-offerings by the doors of the tabernacle.

⁹ Then take the oil for anointing, and anoint the Sacred Tent and everything that is in it, to ◄set it apart/dedicate it► to me. Then it will be holy/sacred.

¹⁰ Also anoint the altar for offering sacrifices that will be completely burned, and all the things that will be used with it, and set it apart. Then it also will be holy/sacred.

¹¹ Also anoint the washbasin and its base, to set it apart.

¹² Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Sacred Tent, and wash them ritually with water.

¹³ Then put on Aaron his sacred clothes to ◄set him apart/dedicate him►, in order that he can serve me as a priest.

¹⁴ Also bring his sons there. Put their sacred tunics/gowns on them

¹⁵ and anoint them just as you anointed their father, in order that they also may serve me by working as priests. By anointing them and their descendants, you will cause them and their descendants to be priests throughout all coming generations.”

¹⁶ Moses/I did all these things exactly as Yahweh had commanded him/me.

¹⁷ On the first day of the first month of the next year (OR, second year after they/we left Egypt), the people set up the Sacred Tent.

¹⁸ Following Moses'/my instructions, they set up the Sacred Tent and its bases, set up the frames, attached the crossbars, and put up the posts for the curtains.

¹⁹ Then they spread out the coverings over the Sacred Tent, exactly as Yahweh had commanded.

²⁰ Then he/I took the two stone slabs on which the commandments were written and put them in the sacred chest. He/I put the carrying poles in the rings on the chest and put the lid on top of the chest.

²¹ Then he/I took the chest into the Holy Place inside the Sacred Tent and hung the curtain. In that way, he/I prevented the people who were outside from seeing the chest. He/I did all this exactly as Yahweh had commanded him/me.

²² He/I set the table inside the Sacred Tent, on the north side, outside the curtain.

²³ He/I placed on the table the bread that was offered to Yahweh, exactly as Yahweh had commanded.

²⁴ He/I set the lampstand inside the Sacred Tent, on the south side, opposite the table.

²⁵ Then he/I fastened the lamps to the lampstand in Yahweh's presence, exactly as Yahweh had commanded.

²⁶ He/I set the golden altar for burning incense inside the Sacred Tent, in front of the curtain that separated the Holy Place from the Very Holy Place,

²⁷ and he/I burned some sweet-smelling incense on it, exactly as Yahweh had commanded him/me.

²⁸ He/I hung the curtain at the entrance to the Sacred Tent.

²⁹ At the entrance to the Sacred Tent, he/I set the altar for offering sacrifices that were to be burned completely. Then he/I offered on it the meat that was to be burned completely and the grain offering, exactly as Yahweh had commanded him/me.

³⁰ He/I set the washbasin between the Sacred Tent and the bronze altar, and he/I filled the washbasin with water.

³¹ Every time Moses/I and Aaron and his sons went into the Sacred Tent or went to the altar, they/we washed their/our hands and feet ritually, exactly as Yahweh had commanded Moses/me.

³³ Following Moses'/my instructions, they hung the curtains that surrounded the courtyard and the altar, and they hung the curtain at the entrance to the courtyard. So Moses/I finished that work.

²⁰ He took and put the covenant into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.

²¹ He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the covenant, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

²² He put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside of the veil.

²³ He set the bread in order on it before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

²⁴ He put the lamp stand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.

²⁵ He lit the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

²⁶ He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;

²⁷ and he burned incense of sweet spices on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.

⁹ “You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture, and it will be holy.

¹⁰ You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar, and the altar will be most holy.

¹¹ You shall anoint the basin and its base, and sanctify it.

¹² “You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall wash them with water.

¹³ You shall put on Aaron the holy garments; and you shall anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the priest’s office.

¹⁴ You shall bring his sons, and put tunics on them.

¹⁵ You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to me in the priest’s office. Their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.”

¹⁶ Moses did so. According to all that the LORD commanded him, so he did.

¹⁷ In the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, the tabernacle was raised up.

¹⁸ Moses raised up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.

¹⁹ He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tabernacle above on it, as the LORD commanded Moses.

²⁰ He took and put the covenant into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.

²¹ He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the covenant, as the LORD commanded Moses.

²² He put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside of the veil.

²³ He set the bread in order on it before the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.

²⁴ He put the lamp stand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.

²⁵ He lit the lamps before the LORD, as the LORD commanded Moses.

²⁶ He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;

²⁷ and he burnt incense of sweet spices on it, as the LORD commanded Moses.

²⁸ He put up the screen of the door to the tabernacle.

²⁹ He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as the LORD commanded Moses.

³⁰ He set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water therein, with which to wash.

³¹ Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet there.

³² When they went into the Tent of Meeting, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as the LORD commanded Moses.

³³ He raised up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.

⁹ And take the holy oil and put it on the House and everything in it, and make it and everything in it holy:

¹⁰ And put oil on the altar of burned offering, and make it and all its vessels holy; this altar is to be most holy.

¹¹ And put oil on the washing-vessel and its base, and make them holy.

¹² Then let Aaron and his sons come to the door of the Tent of meeting; and after washing them with water,

¹³ You are to put on Aaron the holy robes; and you are to put oil on him, and make him holy, so that he may be my priest.

¹⁴ And take his sons with him and put coats on them;

¹⁵ And put oil on them as you did on their father, so that they may be my priests: the putting on of oil will make them priests for ever, from generation to generation.

¹⁶ And Moses did this; as the Lord gave him orders, so he did.

¹⁷ So on the first day of the first month in the second year the House was put up.

¹⁸ Moses put up the House; placing its bases in position and lifting up its uprights, putting in the rods and planting the pillars in their places;

¹⁹ Stretching the outer tent over it, and covering it, as the Lord had given him orders.

²⁰ And he took the law and put it inside the ark, and put the rods at its side and the cover over it;

²¹ And he took the ark into the House, hanging up the veil before it as the Lord had given him orders.

²² And he put the table in the Tent of meeting, on the north side outside the veil.

²³ And he put the bread on it in order before the Lord, as the Lord had said.

²⁴ The support for the lights he put in the Tent of meeting, opposite the table, on the south side:

²⁵ Lighting the lights before the Lord, as the Lord had given him orders.

²⁶ And he put the gold altar in the Tent of meeting, in front of the veil:

²⁷ Burning sweet perfumes on it, as the Lord had given him orders.

²⁸ And he put up the curtain at the doorway of the House.

²⁹ And at the door of the House of the Tent of meeting, he put the altar of burned offerings, offering on it the burned offering and the meal offering, as the Lord had given him orders.

³⁰ And between the altar and the Tent of meeting he put the vessel with water in it for washing.

³¹ In it the hands and feet of Moses and Aaron and his sons were washed,

³² Whenever they went into the Tent of meeting, and when they came near the altar, as the Lord had given orders to Moses.

³³ And he put up the hangings forming the open space round the House and the altar, and put the curtain over the doorway. So Moses made the work complete.

¹⁰ And thou shalt anoint the altar of burnt-offering, and all its utensils; and thou shalt hallow the altar, and the altar shall be most holy.

¹² And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons near, at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and bathe them with water.

¹³ And thou shalt clothe Aaron with the holy garments, and anoint him, and hallow him, that he may serve me as priest.

¹⁴ And thou shalt bring his sons near, and clothe them with vests.

¹⁵ And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may serve me as priests. And their anointing shall be to them an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.

¹⁶ And Moses did so: as Jehovah had commanded him, so did he.

²¹ And he brought the ark into the tabernacle, and hung up the veil of separation, and covered the ark of the testimony; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

²² And he put the table in the tent of meeting, on the side of the tabernacle northward, outside the veil,

²³ and arranged the bread in order upon it before Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

²⁴ And he put the candlestick in the tent of meeting, opposite to the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

²⁵ And he lighted the lamps before Jehovah; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

²⁶ And he put the golden altar in the tent of meeting before the veil.

²⁷ And he burnt on it fragrant incense; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

²⁸ And he hung up the curtain of the entrance to the tabernacle.

²⁹ And he put the altar of burnt-offering at the entrance to the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and offered on it the burnt-offering and the oblation; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

³⁰ And he set the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and put water in it for washing.

³¹ And Moses and Aaron and his sons washed their hands and their feet out of it:

³² when they went into the tent of meeting, and when they drew near to the altar, they washed; as Jehovah had commanded Moses.

³³ And he set up the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, and hung up the curtain of the gate of the court. And so Moses finished the work.

⁹ And thou shalt take the oil of unction and anoint the tabernacle with its vessels, that they may be sanctified:

¹⁰ The altar of holocaust and all its vessels:

¹¹ The laver with its foot: thou shalt consecrate all with the oil of unction, that they may be most holy.

¹² And thou shalt bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and having washed them with water,

¹³ Thou shalt put on them the holy vestments, that they may minister to me, and that the unction of them may prosper to an everlasting priesthood.

¹⁴ And Moses did all that the Lord had commanded.

¹⁵ So in the first month of the second year, the first day of the month, the tabernacle was set up.

¹⁶ And Moses reared it up, and placed the boards and the sockets and the bars, and set up the pillars,

¹⁷ And spread the roof over the tabernacle, putting over it a cover, as the Lord had commanded.

¹⁸ And he put the testimony in the ark, thrusting bars underneath, and the oracle above.

¹⁹ And when he had brought the ark into the tabernacle, he drew the veil before it to fulfill the commandment of the Lord.

²⁰ And he set the table in the tabernacle of the testimony at the north side without the veil,

²¹ Setting there in order the loaves of proposition, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²² He set the candlestick also in the tabernacle of the testimony over against the table on the south side,

²³ Placing the lamps in order, according to the precept of the Lord.

²⁴ He set also the altar of gold under the roof of the testimony over against the veil,

²⁵ And burnt upon it the incense of spices, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²⁶ And he put also the hanging in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony,

²⁷ And the altar of holocaust of the entry of the testimony, offering the holocaust, and the sacrifices upon it, as the Lord had commanded.

²⁸ And he set the laver between the tabernacle of the testimony and the altar, filling it with water.

²⁹ And Moses and Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and feet,

³⁰ When they went into the tabernacle of the covenant, and went to the altar, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

³¹ He set up also the court round about the tabernacle and the altar, drawing the hanging in the entry thereof. After all things were perfected,

³² The cloud covered the tabernacle of the testimony, and the glory of the Lord filled it.

³³ Neither could Moses go into the tabernacle of the covenant, the cloud covering all things and the majesty of the Lord shining, for the cloud had covered all.

⁹ Use the anointing oil to anoint the Tabernacle and everything in it. Dedicate it and all its furniture to make it holy.

¹⁰ Anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils. Dedicate the altar and it will be especially holy.

¹¹ Anoint and dedicate the basin with its stand.

¹² Take Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting and wash them there with water.

¹³ Then you are to put on Aaron the holy clothes, anoint him, and dedicate him, so that he may serve me as a priest.

¹⁴ Have his sons come forward and dress them with tunics.

¹⁵ Anoint them in the same way as you anointed their father, so that they can also serve me as priests. Their anointing makes their line priests forever, for generations to come.”

¹⁶ Moses carried out all the Lord's instructions.

¹⁷ The Tabernacle was put up on the first day of the first month of the second year.

¹⁸ When Moses put up the Tabernacle, he placed its stands, attached its frames, connected its crossbars, and erected its posts.

¹⁹ Then he spread the tent over the Tabernacle and placed the covering over the tent, as the Lord had ordered him to do.

²⁰ Moses took the Testimony and put it in the Ark. He attached the poles to the Ark, and he placed the atonement cover on the top of the Ark.

²¹ Then he carried the Ark into the Tabernacle. He put up the veil, and made sure the Ark of the Testimony was behind it, as the Lord had ordered him to do.

²² Moses placed the table inside the Tent of Meeting on the north side of the Tabernacle, outside the veil.

²³ He laid out the bread on it in the presence of the Lord, as the Lord had ordered him to do.

²⁴ He placed the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting opposite the table on the south side of the Tabernacle

²⁵ and put up the lamps in the presence of the Lord, as the Lord had ordered him to do.

²⁶ Moses set up the gold altar in the Tent of Meeting, in front of the veil,

²⁷ and he burned aromatic incense on it, as the Lord had ordered him to do.

²⁸ Then he put up the screen at the entrance to the Tabernacle.

²⁹ He set up the altar of burnt offering near the entrance to the Tabernacle, the Tent of Meeting, and presented the burnt offering and the grain offering, as the Lord had ordered him to do.

³⁰ He placed the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing.

³¹ Moses, Aaron, and his sons used it to wash their hands and feet

³² They washed whenever they went into the Tent of Meeting or approached the altar, as the Lord had ordered Moses to do.

³³ Moses set up the courtyard around the Tabernacle and the altar, and he put up the curtain for the courtyard entrance. This marked the end of the work done by Moses.

⁹ After, thou shalt take the anoynting oyle, and anoynt the Tabernacle, and all that is therein, and halowe it with all the instruments thereof, that it may be holy.

¹⁰ And thou shalt anoynt the Altar of the burnt offring, and all his instruments, and shalt sanctifie the Altar, that it may bee an altar most holie.

¹¹ Also thou shalt anoynt the Lauer, and his foote, and shalt sanctifie it.

¹² Then thou shalt bring Aaron and his sonnes vnto the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and wash them with water.

¹³ And thou shalt put vpon Aaron the holy garmentes, and shalt anoynt him, and sanctifie him, that he may minister vnto me in the Priestes office.

¹⁴ Thou shalt also bring his sonnes, and clothe them with garments,

¹⁵ And shalt anoynt them as thou diddest anoynt their father, that they may minister vnto mee in the Priestes office: for their anoynting shall be a signe, that the Priesthood shall be euerlasting vnto them throughout their generations.

¹⁶ So Moses did according to all that ye Lord had commanded him: so did he.

¹⁷ Thus was the Tabernacle reared vp the first day of the first moneth in the seconde yeere.

¹⁸ Then Moses reared vp the Tabernacle and fastened his sockets, and set vp the boardes thereof, and put in the barres of it, and reared vp his pillars.

¹⁹ And he spred the couering ouer the Tabernacle, and put the couering of that couering on hie aboue it, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²⁰ And he tooke and put the Testimonie in the Arke, and put the barres in the ringes of the Arke, and set the Merciseate on hie vpon the Arke.

²¹ He brought also the Arke into the Tabernacle, and hanged vp the couering vaile, and couered the Arke of the Testimonie, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²² Furthermore he put the Table in the Tabernacle of the Congregation in the Northside of the Tabernacle, without the vaile,

²³ And set the bread in order before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²⁴ Also he put the Candlesticke in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, ouer against the Table toward ye Southside of the Tabernacle.

²⁵ And he lighted the lampes before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²⁶ Moreouer he set the golden Altar in the Tabernacle of the Congregation before the vayle,

²⁷ And burnt sweete incense thereon, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

²⁸ Also he hanged vp the vayle at the doore of the Tabernacle.

²⁹ After, he set the burnt offring Altar without the doore of the Tabernacle, called the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and offered the burnt offering and the sacrifice thereon, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

³⁰ Likewise he set the Lauer betweene the Tabernacle of the Congregation and the Altar, and powred water therein to wash with.

³¹ So Moses and Aaron, and his sonnes washed their handes and their feete thereat.

³² When they went into the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and when they approched to the Altar, they washed, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

³³ Finally, he reared vp the court rounde about the Tabernacle and the Altar, and hanged vp the vaile at the court gate: so Moses finished the worke.

²² And he put the table in the tabernacle of witness, on the north side without the veil of the tabernacle.

²³ And he put on it the showbread before the Lord, as the Lord commanded Moses.

²⁴ And he put the candlestick into the tabernacle of witness, on the side of the tabernacle toward the south.

²⁴ He put the menorah ·lamp· in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.

²⁵ He lit the lamp candles before Adonai , as Adonai enjoined Moses Drawn out.

²⁶ He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;

⁹ You must take the anointing oil and anoint the tabernacle and everything that is in it. You must set it apart and all its furnishings to me; then it will be holy.

¹¹ You must anoint the bronze basin and its base and set it apart to me.

¹² You are to bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting and you must wash them with water.

¹⁶ This is what Moses did; he followed all that Yahweh had commanded him. He did all these things.

¹⁷ So the tabernacle was set up on the first day of the first month in the second year.

¹⁸ Moses set up the tabernacle, put its bases in place, set up its frames, attached its bars, and set up its pillars and posts.

¹⁹ He spread the covering over the tabernacle and put tent over it, as Yahweh had commanded him.

²⁰ He took the covenant decrees and put them into the ark. He also placed the poles on the ark and put the atonement lid on it.

²¹ He brought the ark into the tabernacle. He set up the curtain for it to shield the ark of the testimony, as Yahweh had commanded him.

²² He put the table into the tent of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the curtain.

²³ He placed the bread in order on the table before Yahweh, as Yahweh had commanded him.

²⁴ He put the lampstand into the tent of meeting, across from the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.

²⁵ He lit the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh had commanded him.

²⁶ He put the golden incense altar into the tent of meeting in front of the curtain.

²⁷ He burned fragrant incense on it, as Yahweh had commanded him.

²⁸ He hung the curtain at the tabernacle entrance.

²⁹ He put the altar for the burnt offering at the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting. He offered on it the burnt offering and the grain offering, as Yahweh had commanded him.

³⁰ He placed the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar, and he put water in it for washing.

³¹ Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet from the basin

³² whenever they would go into the tent of meeting and whenever they would go up to the altar. They washed themselves, as Yahweh had commanded Moses.

³³ Moses set up the courtyard around the tabernacle and the altar. He set up the curtain at the courtyard entrance. In this way, Moses finished the work.

¹² And thou shalt present Aaron and his sons to the door of the tabernacle of witnessing; and, when they be washed with water,

¹³ thou shalt clothe them in holy clothes, that they minister to me,

²³ and he ordained the loaves of setting forth before, as the Lord commanded to Moses.

²⁴ He set or put also the candlestick in the tabernacle of witnessing, even against the board, in the south side,

²⁵ and he set the lanterns by order, by the commandment of the Lord.

²⁶ He put also the golden altar under the roof of witnessing, that is, of the tabernacle, against the veil,

²⁷ and he burnt thereon incense of sweet smelling spiceries or spices, as the Lord commanded to Moses.

²⁸ He set or put also a curtain in the entering of the tabernacle,

²⁹ and the altar of burnt sacrifice in the porch of the witnessing, and he offered there burnt sacrifice, and sacrifices, as the Lord commanded.

³⁰ Also he ordained the washing vessel, betwixt the tabernacle of witnessing and the altar, and filled it with water.

³¹ And Moses, and Aaron, and his sons, washed their hands and their feet therein,

³² when they entered into the tabernacle of the bond of peace, and nighed to the altar, as the Lord commanded to Moses.

³³ He areared also the great porch, by compass of the tabernacle and of the altar, and setted a curtain in the entering thereof.

⁹ And when thou hast taken the oil of anointing, thou shalt anoint the tabernacle, with his vessels, (or thou shalt anoint the Tabernacle, and all its vessels), (so) that those be hallowed;

¹⁰ the altar of burnt sacrifice, and all the vessels thereof;

(And he put the Witnessing, that is, the tablets of the Law, into the Ark, that is, the Box for the tablets, and he set the bars within the rings, and he put the propitiatory, that is, the mercy seat, or the lid, on the Box.)

²¹ And when he had brought the ark into the tabernacle, he hanged a veil before it, that he should fulfill the commandment of the Lord. (And when he had brought the Ark into the Tabernacle, he hung up the Veil in front of it, as the Lord commanded him.)

²² He setted also the board in the tabernacle of witnessing, at the north coast, without the veil, (And he put the table in the Tabernacle of the Witnessing, on the north side of the Tabernacle, in front of the Veil,)

²³ and he ordained the loaves of setting forth (on the table), before (the Lord), as the Lord commanded to Moses. (and he placed the loaves of proposition, or the showbread, on the table, before the Lord, as the Lord commanded to Moses.)

²⁴ He set also the candlestick in the tabernacle of witnessing, even against the board, in the south side, (And he set the lampstand in the Tabernacle of the Witnessing, opposite the table, on the south side of the Tabernacle,)

²⁵ and he set the lanterns by order, by the commandment of the Lord. (and he set up the lanterns before the Lord, as the Lord commanded him.)

²⁶ He putted also the golden altar under the roof of witnessing, that is, of the tabernacle, against the veil, (And he put the gold altar in the Tent of the Witnessing, that is, in the Tabernacle, in front of the Veil,)

²⁷ and he burnt thereon incense of sweet smelling spiceries, as the Lord commanded to Moses.

²⁸ He set also a curtain in the entering of the tabernacle, (And he hung up the curtain at the entrance to the Tabernacle,)

²⁹ and (set) the altar of burnt sacrifice in the porch (of the tabernacle) of witnessing, and he offered there(on) burnt sacrifice, and sacrifices, as the Lord commanded. (and put the altar of burnt sacrifice by the entrance to the Tabernacle of the Witnessing, and then he offered on it the burnt sacrifice, and the sacrifices, as the Lord commanded him.)

³⁰ Also he ordained the washing vessel, betwixt the tabernacle of witnessing and the altar, and filled it with water. (And he put the washing vessel between the Tabernacle of the Witnessing and the altar, and filled it with water.)

³¹ And Moses, and Aaron, and his sons, washed their hands and their feet therein,

³² when they entered into the tabernacle of the bond of peace, and nighed to the altar, as the Lord commanded to Moses. (whenever they entered into the Tabernacle of the Covenant, that is, the Tabernacle of the Witnessing, or when they approached the altar, as the Lord commanded to Moses.)

³³ He areared also the great porch, by compass of the tabernacle and of the altar, and setted a curtain in the entering thereof. (And he set up the courtyard, that is, the pillars and the curtains that enclosed the courtyard, all around the Tabernacle and the altar, and hung up a curtain at its entrance.)

⁹ And whanne thou hast take oyle of anoyntyng, thou schalt anoynte the tabernacle, with hise vessels, that tho be halewid;

¹⁰ the auter of brent sacrifice, and alle vessels ther of; the `waischyng vessel,

¹¹ with his foundement. Thou schalt anoynte alle thingis with the oile of anoyntyng, that tho be hooli of hooli thingis.

¹² And thou schalt present Aaron and hise sones to the dore of the tabernacle of witnessyng;

¹³ and, whanne thei ben `waischid in water, thou schalt clothe hem with hooli clothis, that thei mynystre to me, and that the anoyntyng of hem profite in to euerlastynge preesthod.

¹⁴ And Moises dide alle thingis whiche the Lord comaundide.

¹⁵ Therfor in the firste monethe of the secunde yeer, in the firste dai of the monethe, the tabernacle was set.

¹⁶ And Moises reiside it, and settide the tablis, and foundementis, and barris, and he ordeynede pilers;

¹⁷ and `spredde abrood the roof on the tabernacle, and puttide an hilyng aboue, as the Lord comaundide.

¹⁸ He puttide also the witnessyng in the arke, and he settide barris with ynne, and Goddis answeryng place aboue.

¹⁹ And whanne he hadde brouyt the arke in to the tabernacle, he hangide a veil bifor it, that he schulde fille the comaundement of the Lord.

²⁰ He settide also the boord in the tabernacle of witnessyng, at the north coost, without the veil,

²¹ and he ordeynede the looues of settyng forth bifore, as the Lord comaundide to Moises.

²² He settide also the candilstike in the tabernacle of witnessyng, euene ayens the boord,

²³ in the south side, and settide lanternes bi ordre, bi the comaundement of the Lord.

²⁴ He puttide also the goldun auter vndur the roof of witnessyng,

²⁵ ayens the veil, and he brente theronne encense of swete smellynge spiceries, as the Lord comaundide to Moises.

²⁶ He settide also a tente in the entryng of the tabernacle,

²⁷ and the auter of brent sacrifice in the porche of the witnessyng, and he offride therynne brent sacrifice, and sacrifices, as the Lord comaundide.

³⁰ Also he ordeynede the `waischyng vessel, bitwixe the tabernacle of witnessyng and the auter, and fillide it with watir.

³¹ And Moises, and Aaron, and his sones, waischiden her hondis and feet,

³² whanne thei entriden into the roof of boond of pees, and neiyeden to the auter, as the Lord comaundide to Moises.

³³ He reiside also the greet street, bi the cumpas of the tabernacle and of the auter, and settyde a tente in the entryng therof. Aftir that alle thingis weren perfitli maad,

⁹ and hast taken the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle, and all that is in it, and hallowed it, and all its vessels, and it hath been holy;

¹⁰ and thou hast anointed the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and sanctified the altar, and the altar hath been most holy;

¹¹ and thou hast anointed the laver and its base, and sanctified it.

¹² 'And thou hast brought near Aaron and his sons unto the opening of the tent of meeting, and hast bathed them with water;

¹³ and thou hast clothed Aaron with the holy garments, and anointed him, and sanctified him, and he hath acted as priest to Me.

¹⁴ 'And his sons thou dost bring near, and hast clothed them with coats,

¹⁵ and anointed them as thou hast anointed their father, and they have acted as priests to Me, and their anointing hath been to be to them for a priesthood age-during, to their generations.'

¹⁶ And Moses doth according to all that Jehovah hath commanded him; so he hath done.

¹⁷ And it cometh to pass, in the first month, in the second year, in the first of the month, the tabernacle hath been raised up;

¹⁸ and Moses raiseth up the tabernacle, and setteth its sockets, and placeth its boards, and placeth its bars, and raiseth its pillars,

¹⁹ and spreadeth the tent over the tabernacle, and putteth the covering of the tent upon it above, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

²⁰ And he taketh and putteth the testimony unto the ark, and setteth the staves on the ark, and putteth the mercy-seat on the ark above;

²¹ and bringeth in the ark unto the tabernacle, and placeth the vail of the covering, and covereth over the ark of the testimony, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

²² And he putteth the table in the tent of meeting, on the side of the tabernacle northward, at the outside of the vail,

²³ and setteth in order upon it the arrangement of bread, before Jehovah, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

²⁴ And he putteth the candlestick in the tent of meeting, over-against the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward,

²⁵ and causeth the lamps to go up before Jehovah, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

²⁶ And he setteth the golden altar in the tent of meeting, before the vail,

²⁷ and maketh perfume on it — spice-perfume — as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

²⁸ And he setteth the covering of the opening to the tabernacle,

²⁹ and the altar of the burnt-offering he hath set at the opening of the tabernacle of the tent of meeting, and causeth the burnt-offering to go up upon it, and the present, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

³⁰ And he putteth the laver between the tent of meeting and the altar, and putteth water there for washing,

³¹ and Moses and Aaron and his sons have washed their hands and their feet at the same;

³² in their going in unto the tent of meeting, and in their drawing near unto the altar, they wash, as Jehovah hath commanded Moses.

³³ And he raiseth up the court round about the tabernacle, and about the altar, and placeth the covering of the gate of the court; and Moses completeth the work.
