¹⁵ And he that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.

¹⁶ And he that stealeth a man, and selleth him, or if he be found in his hand, he shall surely be put to death.

¹⁷ And he that curseth his father or his mother, shall surely be put to death.

¹⁸ And if men contend, and one smite the other with a stone, or with his fist, and he die not, but keep his bed;

¹⁹ if he rise again, and walk abroad upon his staff, then shall he that smote him be quit: only he shall pay for the loss of his time, and shall cause him to be thoroughly healed.

²⁰ And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall surely be punished.

¹⁵ Whoever smites his father or his mother, let him be certainly put to death.

¹⁶ He that reviles his father or his mother shall surely die.

¹⁷ Whosoever shall steal one of the children of Israel, and prevail over him and sell him, and he be found with him, let him certainly die.

¹⁸ And if two men revile each other and smite the one the other with a stone or his fist, and he die not, but be laid upon his bed;

¹⁹ if the man arise and walk abroad on his staff, he that smote him shall be clear; only he shall pay for his loss of time, and for his healing.

²⁰ And if a man smite his man-servant or his maid-servant, with a rod, and the party die under his hands, he shall be surely punished.

¹⁵ Anyone who strikes his father or mother must surely be executed.

¹⁶ Anyone who kidnaps another person, either in order to sell that person or to keep him as a slave, must be executed.

¹⁷ Anyone who reviles/curses his father or his mother must be executed.

¹⁸ Suppose two people fight, and one strikes the other with a stone or with his fist. And suppose the person he strikes does not die but is injured and has to stay in bed for a while,

¹⁹ and later he is able to walk outside using a cane. Then the person who struck him does not have to be punished. However, he must pay the injured person the money he could not earn while he was recovering, and he must also pay the injured person's medical expenses until that person is well.

²⁰ If someone strikes his male or female slave with a stick, if the slave dies ◄immediately/as a result► IDM, the one who struck him must be punished.

¹⁶ Any man who gets another into his power in order to get a price for him is to be put to death, if you take him in the act.

¹⁷ Any man cursing his father or his mother is to be put to death.

¹⁸ If, in a fight, one man gives another a blow with a stone, or with the shut hand, not causing his death, but making him keep in bed;

¹⁹ If he is able to get up again and go about with a stick, the other will be let off; only he will have to give him payment for the loss of his time, and see that he is cared for till he is well.

²⁰ If a man gives his man-servant or his woman-servant blows with a rod, causing death, he is certainly to undergo punishment.

²⁰ And if a man strike his bondman or his handmaid with a staff, and he die under his hand, he shall certainly be avenged.

¹⁸ If men quarrel, and the one strike his neighbour with a stone or with his fist, and he die not, but keepeth his bed:

¹⁹ If he rise again and walk abroad upon his staff, he that struck him shall be quit, yet so that he make restitution for his work, and for his expenses upon the physicians.

²⁰ He that striketh his bondman or bondwoman with a rod, and they die under his hands, shall be guilty of the crime.

¹⁵ Anyone who hits their father or mother must be executed.

¹⁶ Anyone who kidnaps someone else must be executed, whether the victim is sold or is still in their possessions.

¹⁷ Anyone who despises their father or mother must be executed.

¹⁸ If men are fighting and one hits the other with a stone or with his fist, and the injured man doesn't die but has to stay in bed,

¹⁹ and then gets up and walks around outside with his walking stick, then the one who hit him won't be punished, Even so, he must still compensate the man for the time lost from his work and make sure that he's completely healed.

²⁰ Anyone who hits their male or female slave with a rod, and the slave dies as a result, must be punished.

¹⁹ If hee rise againe and walke without vpon his staffe, then shall he that smote him go quite, saue onely hee shall beare his charges for his resting, and shall pay for his healing.

²⁰ And if a man smite his seruant, or his maide with a rod, and he die vnder his hande, he shalbe surely punished.

¹⁷ And he who curseth his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.

¹⁸ And when men contend, and a man smiteth his neighbour with a stone or with his fist, and he die not, but fall upon his bed;

¹⁹ If he rise (again) and walk about upon his staff, he who smote him shall be acquitted; only he shall make good his loss of labour, and defray the charge of the physician.

²⁰ And when a man smiteth his servant or his handmaid with a staff, and he die under his hand, condemned he shall be condemned.

¹⁵ “Anyone who attacks his father or his mother shall be surely put to death.

²⁰ “If a man strikes his servant or his maid with a rod, and he dies under his hand, he shall surely be punished.

¹⁵ Whoever hits his father or mother must surely be put to death.

¹⁶ Whoever kidnaps a person—whether the kidnapper sells him, or that person is found in his hand—that kidnapper must be put to death.

¹⁷ Whoever curses his father or his mother must surely be put to death.

¹⁸ If men fight and one hits the other with a stone or with his fist, and that person does not die, but is confined to his bed;

¹⁹ then if he recovers and is able to walk about using his staff, the man who struck him must pay for the loss of his time; he must also pay for his complete recovery. But that man is not guilty of murder.

²⁰ If a man hits his male servant or his female servant with a staff, and if the servant dies as a result of the blow, then that man must surely be punished.

¹⁹ if he risith, and goith forth on his staf, he that smoot schal be innocent; so netheles that he restore hise trauelis, and costis in lechis.

²⁰ He that smytith his seruaunt, ether handmayde, with a yerde, and thei ben deed in hise hondis, schal be gilti of cryme.
