³ Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their fathers’ houses, a lamb for a household:

⁴ and if the household be too little for a lamb, then shall he and his neighbor next unto his house take one according to the number of the souls; according to every man’s eating ye shall make your count for the lamb.

⁵ Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old: ye shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats:

⁶ and ye shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at even.

⁷ And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two side-posts and on the lintel, upon the houses wherein they shall eat it.

³ Tell all the Israeli people that in each family, the man who heads the family must select a lamb or a young goat for his household.

⁴ If there are not enough people in his family to eat a whole cooked lamb, then his family and the family that lives next door may share one animal. Decide how many lambs you need according to the number of people in each family, and according to how much each person can eat.

⁵ The lambs or goats that you choose must be males, one-year-old, and they must not have any defects.

⁶ You must take special care of these animals until the 14th day of the month. On that day, all the Israeli people must slaughter the lambs or goats in the evening.

⁷ Then they must take some of the blood from the lambs or goats, and they must smear it on the doorposts and the ◄lintels/horizontal beams above the doorways► of the houses in which they will eat the meat.

⁸ They must roast the animals immediately and eat the meat that night. They must eat it with bread that is baked without yeast and with bitter herbs.

⁴ And if the lamb is more than enough for the family, let that family and its nearest neighbour have a lamb between them, taking into account the number of persons and how much food is needed for every man.

⁵ Let your lamb be without a mark, a male in its first year: you may take it from among the sheep or the goats:

⁶ Keep it till the fourteenth day of the same month, when everyone who is of the children of Israel is to put it to death between sundown and dark.

⁷ Then take some of the blood and put it on the two sides of the door and over the door of the house where the meal is to be taken.

⁸ And let your food that night be the flesh of the lamb, cooked with fire in the oven, together with unleavened bread and bitter-tasting plants.

³ Speak unto all the assembly of Israel, saying, On the tenth of this month let them take themselves each a lamb, for a father's house, a lamb for a house.

⁴ And if the household be too small for a lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; each according to the measure of his eating shall ye count for the lamb.

⁵ Your lamb shall be without blemish, a yearling male; ye shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats.

⁶ And ye shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month; and the whole congregation of the assembly of Israel shall kill it between the two evenings.

⁷ And they shall take of the blood, and put it on the two door-posts and on the lintel of the houses in which they eat it.

⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; with bitter herbs shall they eat it.

³ Speak ye to the whole assembly of the children of Israel, and say to them: On the tenth day of this month let every man take a lamb by their families and houses.

⁴ But if the number be less than may suffice to eat the lamb, he shall take unto him his neighbour that joineth to his house, according to the number of souls which may be enough to eat the lamb.

⁵ And it shall be a lamb without blemish, a male, of one year: according to which rite also you shall take a kid.

⁶ And you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of this month: and the whole multitude of the children of Israel shall sacrifice it in the evening.

⁷ And they shall take of the blood thereof, and put it upon both the side posts, and on the upper door posts of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.

⁸ And they shall eat the flesh that night roasted at the fire, and unleavened bread with wild lettuce.

³ Tell all the Israelites that on the tenth day of this month, every man must choose a lamb for his family, one for each household.

⁴ However, if the household is too small for a whole lamb, then he and his nearest neighbor may choose a lamb according to the total number of people. Divide up the lamb depending on what everybody can eat.

⁵ Your lamb must be a year-old male without any defects, and you can take it either from the sheep or the goats.

⁶ Keep it until the fourteenth day of the month, when all the Israelites will slaughter the animals after sunset and before it gets dark.

⁷ They are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the doorframes of the houses where they have the meal.

⁸ They are to roast the meat over a fire and eat it that night, together with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

³ Speake ye vnto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth of this moneth let euery man take vnto him a lambe, according to the house of the fathers, a lambe for an house.

⁴ And if the housholde be too litle for the lambe, he shall take his neighbour, which is next vnto his house, according to the nomber of the persons: euery one of you, according to his eating shall make your count for the lambes,

⁵ Your lambe shalbe without blemish, a male of a yeere olde: ye shall take it of the lambes, or of the kiddes.

⁶ And yee shall keepe it vntill the fourteenth day of this moneth: then al the multitude of the Congregation of Israel shall kill it at euen.

⁷ After, they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two postes, and on the vpper doore post of the houses where they shall eate it.

⁸ And they shall eate the flesh the same night, roste with fire, and vnleauened bread: with sowre herbes they shall eate it.

⁵ The lamb shall be perfect, a male, the son of a year; it shall be to you; from the sheep or from the goats you may take it.

⁶ And you shall have it in keeping till the fourteenth day of this month, and the whole church (kehala) of the congregation of Israel shall kill him between the suns.

⁷ And they shall take of the blood, and apply it upon the two posts and upon the lintel of the houses in which they eat him.

⁸ And they shall eat the flesh in that night roasted with fire, and (with) unleavened cake with bitters you shall eat him.

³ Tell the assembly of Israel, 'On the tenth day of this month they must each take a lamb or young goat for themselves, each family doing this, a lamb for each household.

⁴ If the household is too small for a lamb, the man and his next door neighbor are to take lamb or young goat meat that will be enough for the number of the people. It should be enough for everyone to eat, so they must take enough meat to feed them all.

⁵ Your lamb or young goat must be without blemish, a one-year-old male. You may take one of the sheep or goats.

⁶ You must keep it until the fourteenth day of that month. Then the whole assembly of Israel must kill these animals at twilight.

⁷ You must take some of the blood and put it on the two side doorposts and on the tops of the doorframes of the houses in which you will eat the meat.

⁸ You must eat the meat that night, after first roasting it over a fire. Eat it with bread made without yeast, along with bitter herbs.

³ Speak ye to all the company of the sons of Israel, and say ye to them, In the tenth day of this month, each man take a lamb by his families and houses; (Speak ye to all the Israelites, and say ye to them, On the tenth day of this month, each man take a lamb for his family, one for each household;)

⁴ but if the number (of people) is less, that it may not suffice to eat the lamb, he shall take (it with) his neighbour, which is joined to his house, by the number of souls, that may suffice to the eating of the lamb. (but if the number of people in his family is too small to eat the lamb, he shall eat it with his neighbour who is near to his house, yea, with the number of souls who shall suffice to eat all of the lamb.)

³ Speke ye to al the cumpanye of the sones of Israel, and seie ye to hem, In the tenthe dai of this monethe ech man take a lomb by hise meynees and housis;

⁴ but if the noumbre is lesse, that it may not suffice to ete the lomb, he schal take his neiybore, which is ioyned to his hows, bi the noumbre of soulis, that moun suffice to the etyng of the lomb.

⁵ Forsothe the lomb schal be a male of o yeer, without wem; bi which custom ye schulen take also a kide ;

⁶ and ye schulen kepe hym til to the fouretenthe dai of this monethe; and al the multitude of the sones of Israel schal offre hym at euentid.

⁷ And thei schulen take of his blood, and schulen put on euer either post, and in lyntels, `ether hiyer threschfoldis, of the housis, in whiche thei schulen ete hym;

⁸ and in that niyt thei schulen ete fleischis, roostid with fier, and therf looues, with letusis of the feeld.

⁴ '(And if the household be too few for a lamb, then hath he taken, he and his neighbour who is near unto his house, for the number of persons, each according to his eating ye do count for the lamb,)

⁵ a lamb, a perfect one, a male, a son of a year, let be to you; from the sheep or from the goats ye do take it.

⁶ 'And it hath become a charge to you, until the fourteenth day of this month, and the whole assembly of the company of Israel have slaughtered it between the evenings;

⁷ and they have taken of the blood, and have put on the two side-posts, and on the lintel over the houses in which they eat it.

⁸ 'And they have eaten the flesh in this night, roast with fire; with unleavened things and bitters they do eat it;
