¹² A garden shut up is my sister, my bride; A spring shut up, a fountain sealed.

¹³ Thy shoots are an orchard of pomegranates, with precious fruits; Henna with spikenard plants,

¹⁴ Spikenard and saffron, Calamus and cinnamon, with all trees of frankincense; Myrrh and aloes, with all the chief spices.

¹⁵ Thou art a fountain of gardens, A well of living waters, And flowing streams from Lebanon.

¹⁶ Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; Blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my beloved come into his garden, And eat his precious fruits.

¹³ You are like MET an orchard of pomegranate trees full of delicious fruit, and plenty of plants that produce henna and nard spices,

¹⁴ and saffron and calamus and cinnamon and many other kinds of incense, and myrrh and aloes and many other fine spices.

¹⁵ You are like MET a fountain in a garden, like MET a spring of clear water that flows down from the mountains of Lebanon.

¹⁶ I want the north wind and the south wind to come, and blow on my garden, in order that the fragrance of the spices will spread through the air. Similarly, I want the one who loves me to come and enjoy cuddling up to me like MET, EUP someone comes into a garden and enjoys eating the fruit that grows there.

¹⁵ A well of gardens, a well of welling, either quick, waters, that flow with fierceness from the Lebanon.

¹⁵ A well of (the) gardens, a well of welling, either quick, waters, that flow with fierceness from the Lebanon. (The well in the garden is a fresh water well, that floweth with fierceness from Lebanon.)

¹⁶ Rise thou (up), north wind, and come thou, south wind; blow thou through my garden, and the sweet smelling ointments thereof shall flow, (or blow thou through my garden, and its sweet smelling perfumes shall flow forth). My darling, come he into his garden, to eat the fruit of his apples.
