²⁸ We reckon therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

²⁹ Or is God the God of Jews only? is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yea, of Gentiles also:

³⁰ if so be that God is one, and he shall justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through faith.

³¹ Do we then make the law of none effect through faith? God forbid: nay, we establish the law.

²⁸ Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

²⁹ Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

³⁰ Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

³¹ Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

²⁸ We reckon therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

²⁹ Or is God the God of Jews only? is he not the God of Gentiles also? Yea, of Gentiles also:

²⁸ We cannot boast about that, because we conclude that the record of our sins is erased {God erases the record of our sins} because of our trusting in Christ. God does not erase the record of our sins because of our obeying the laws that he gave to Moses, because it is impossible for us to completely obey them.

²⁹ ◄You who are Jews certainly should not think that you are the only ones whom God will accept!/Do you Jews think it is you alone whom God will accept?► RHQ You certainly should realize that he will accept non-Jews, too. RHQ Of course, he will accept non-Jews also,

³⁰ because, as you firmly believe, there is only one God, who will erase the record of Jews' MTY sins if they trust in what Christ has done, and who will similarly erase the record of non-Jews' MTY sins if they trust in Christ.

³¹ So, if someone should ask concerning the laws that God gave Moses, “By saying that God erases the record of our sins because of our trusting in Christ, does that mean that those laws now are useless?”, I would reply, “Certainly not. Instead, we truly fulfill the laws that God gave Moses.”

²⁹ Or is God the God of Jews only? is he not in the same way the God of Gentiles? Yes, of Gentiles:

³⁰ If God is one; and he will give righteousness because of faith to those who have circumcision, and through faith to those who have not circumcision.

³¹ Do we, then, through faith make the law of no effect? in no way: but we make it clear that the law is important.

²⁸ for we reckon that a man is justified by faith, without works of law.

²⁹ Is God the God of Jews only? is he not of the nations also? Yea, of nations also:

³⁰ since indeed it is one God who shall justify the circumcision on the principle of faith, and uncircumcision by faith.

³¹ Do we then make void law by faith? Far be the thought: no, but we establish law.

²⁸ For we account a man to be justified by faith, without the works of the law.

²⁹ Is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also.

³⁰ For it is one God, that justifieth circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

³¹ Do we, then, destroy the law through faith? God forbid: but we establish the law.

²⁸ Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

²⁹ Or is He the God of the Jews only? But is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also,

³⁰ since there is one God who will justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.

³¹ Therefore do we nullify the law through faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

²⁸ Therefore we conclude that a person is justified by faith apart from works of law.

²⁹ Or is God for Jews only? Is He not also for Gentiles? Yes, also for Gentiles,

³⁰ since indeed there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through the Faith.

³¹ Do we then nullify law through the Faith? Of course not! Rather, we uphold law.

²⁸ We conclude that people are made right with God through their trust in him, and not from legal observance.

²⁹ Is God only the God of the Jews? Isn't he the God of other people as well? Of course he is!

³⁰ There is only one God, and he makes us morally right through our trust in him, whoever we are, Jew or foreigner.

³¹ Does that mean that by trusting in God we do away with the law? Of course not! In fact we affirm the importance of the law.

²⁸ Therefore we conclude, that a man is iustified by faith, without the workes of the Lawe.

²⁹ God, is he the God of the Iewes onely, and not of the Gentiles also? Yes, euen of the Gentiles also.

³⁰ For it is one God, who shall iustifie circumcision of faith, and vncircumcision through faith.

³¹ Doe we then make the Lawe of none effect through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the Lawe.

²⁸ Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

²⁹ Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:

³⁰ seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

³¹ Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

²⁸ We conclude therefore, that a man is accepted as righteous through faith, without the works of the Law.

²⁹ Or is God the God of Jews alone? Is he not also the God of gentiles? Yea, of gentiles also.

³⁰ Seeing there is but one God, who will accept the circumcised as righteous by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.

³¹ Do we then make void the Law through faith? Far be it! On the contrary, we establish the Law.

²⁸ For we conclude that a person is pronounced righteous on the ground of faith, quite apart from obedience to Law.

²⁹ Or can it be that God is the God only of the Jews? Isn't he also the God of the Gentiles?

³⁰ Yes, of the Gentiles also, since there is only one God, and he will pronounce those who are circumcised righteous as the result of faith, and also those who are uncircumcised on their showing the same faith.

³¹ Do we, then, use this faith to abolish Law? Heaven forbid! No, we establish Law.

²⁸ For we conclude that a person is pronounced righteous on the ground of faith, quite apart from obedience to Law.

²⁹ Or can it be that God is the God only of the Jews? Isn't he also the God of the Gentiles?

³⁰ Yes, of the Gentiles also, since there is only one God, and he will pronounce those who are circumcised righteous as the result of faith, and also those who are uncircumcised on their showing the same faith.

³¹ Do we, then, use this faith to abolish Law? Heaven forbid! No, we establish Law.

²⁸ It is like this. We believe in Jesus, so God tells us, “You are all right now.” But if we only think about that law and try to do the things it says, God will not tell us that we are all right.

²⁹ So now, what do you reckon? Is God just the God of the Jewish people, or is he the God of other people too that are not Jews? Of course he is God of both. He is God for the people that are not Jewish as well as for the Jews.

³⁰ There is only one God. He makes Jewish people all right if they believe in Jesus, and he makes other people all right too if they believe in Jesus.

³¹ So what do you reckon about the law? We believe in Jesus now so can we forget about the law? No way. If we believe in Jesus we agree that the law is right.

²⁸ For we suppose that a man is iustified by fayth without the dedes of the lawe.

²⁹ Is he the God of the Iewes only? Is he not also the God of the Gentyls? Yes even of the Gentyles also.

³⁰ For it is God only which iustifieth circumcision which is of fayth and vncircumcision thorow fayth.

³¹ Do we then destroye the lawe thorow fayth? God forbid. But we rather mayntayne the lawe.

²⁸ We conclude then that a person is justified by faith without works of the law.

²⁹ Or is God the God of Jews only? Is he not also the God of Gentiles? Yes, of Gentiles also.

³⁰ If, indeed, God is one, he will justify the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through faith.

³¹ Do we then nullify the law through faith? May it never be! Instead, we uphold the law.

²⁹ Whether of the Jews is God only? Whether he is not also of (the) heathen men? Yes, and of (the) heathen men. (Is God only for the Jews, or only of the Jews? Is he not also for, or of, the Gentiles? Yes, he is also for or of the Gentiles.)

³⁰ For there is one God, that justifieth (the) circumcision by faith, and (the) prepuce (or the heathen men) by faith. (For there is one God, who justifieth the circumcised by faith, and the uncircumcised, or the Gentiles, by faith.)

³¹ Destroy we therefore the law by faith? God forbid; but we stablish the law.

²⁸ therefore do we reckon a man to be declared righteous by faith, apart from works of law.

²⁹ The God of Jews only is He, and not also of nations?

³⁰ yes, also of nations; since one is God who shall declare righteous the circumcision by faith, and the uncircumcision through the faith.

³¹ Law then do we make useless through the faith? let it not be! yea, we do establish law.
