Romans 11:29-35 in English

²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God are not repented of.

³⁰ For as ye in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience,

³¹ even so have these also now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they also may now obtain mercy.

³² For God hath shut up all unto disobedience, that he might have mercy upon all.

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!

³⁴ For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

³⁵ or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

²⁹ For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

³⁰ For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

³¹ Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

³² For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

³⁴ For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

³⁵ Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

³⁵ or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

²⁹ He still loves them, because he never changed his mind about the privileges/blessings he gave to them and about his choosing them to be his people.

³⁰ You non-Jews once disobeyed God, but now he has acted mercifully towards you because the Jews disobeyed him.

³¹ Now the Jews have disobeyed God. The result is that by the very same way in which he acted mercifully towards you, he will act mercifully towards them again.

³² God has declared and proved that all people, both Jews and non-Jews MET, disobey ◄ him/his laws►. He has declared that because he wants to act mercifully towards us all.

³³ I marvel how vast and great are the wise things that God has done and what he has always known DOU! We are completely unable to understand the things that he has decided and the ways in which he acts toward us DOU!

³⁴ I remember the Scriptures that say, ◄No one has known what the Lord thinks./Who has known what the Lord thinks?► RHQ ◄Absolutely no one has given him advice about what he should do!/Who has advised him about what he should do?► RHQ

³⁵ And, ◄No one has given anything to God that he did not previously receive from God!/Has anyone given anything to God that he did not previously receive from God?► RHQ So God ◄is not obligated to/does not have to► pay back anything to anyone!

²⁹ Because God's selection and his mercies may not be changed.

³⁰ For as you, in time past, were not under the rule of God, but now have got mercy through their turning away,

³¹ So in the same way these have gone against the orders of God, so that by the mercy given to you they may now get mercy.

³² For God has let them all go against his orders, so that he might have mercy on them all.

³³ O how deep is the wealth of the wisdom and knowledge of God! no one is able to make discovery of his decisions, and his ways may not be searched out.

³⁴ Who has knowledge of the mind of the Lord? or who has taken part in his purposes?

³⁵ Or who has first given to him, and it will be given back to him again?

²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God are not subject to repentance.

³⁰ For as indeed ye also once have not believed in God, but now have been objects of mercy through the unbelief of these;

³¹ so these also have now not believed in your mercy, in order that they also may be objects of mercy.

³² For God hath shut up together all in unbelief, in order that he might shew mercy to all.

³³ O depth of riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable his judgments, and untraceable his ways!

³⁴ For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who has been his counsellor?

³⁵ or who has first given to him, and it shall be rendered to him?

²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God are without repentance.

³² For God has consigned all to disobedience, that He might show mercy to all.

³³ Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and untraceable are His ways!

³⁴ “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?”

³⁵ “Or who has first given to Him, and it shall be repaid to him?”

²⁹ Because God's gracious gifts and calling are irrevocable.

³⁰ For just as you also were once disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy through their disobedience,

³¹ so also these have now been disobedient that through the mercy shown to you they also may be shown mercy.

³² Yes, God has given everyone over to disobedience so that He might show mercy to all.

³³ Oh, the depth of the riches of God's wisdom and knowledge! How unsearchable His judgments and untraceable His ways!

³⁴ Because “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor?”

³⁵ Or “Who has ever given to Him and has to be repaid?”

²⁹ God's gifts and his calling can't be withdrawn.

³⁰ At one time you disobeyed God, but now God has shown you mercy as a result of their disobedience.

³¹ In just the same way that they're now disobedient as you were, they will also be shown mercy like you received.

³² For God treated everyone as prisoners because of their disobedience so that he could be merciful to everyone.

³³ Oh how deep are God's riches, wisdom, and knowledge! How incredible his decisions, how unimaginable his methods!

³⁴ Who can know God's thoughts? Who can give him advice?

³⁵ Who has ever given anything to God that God would be obliged to repay?

²⁹ For the giftes and calling of God are without repentance.

³⁰ For euen as yee in times past haue not beleeued God, yet haue nowe obteined mercie through their vnbeliefe:

³¹ Euen so nowe haue they not beleeued by the mercie shewed vnto you, that they also may obtaine mercie.

³² For God hath shut vp all in vnbeliefe, that he might haue mercie on all.

³³ O the deepenesse of the riches, both of the wisdome, and knowledge of God! howe vnsearcheable are his iudgements, and his wayes past finding out!

³⁴ For who hath knowen the minde of the Lord? or who was his counsellour?

³⁵ Or who hath giuen vnto him first, and he shalbe recompensed?

²⁹ For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

³⁰ For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

³¹ even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

³² For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

³³ O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

²⁹ For in respect to his gifts and his calling, there is no change of purpose with God.

³⁰ For as ye in times past were disobedient to God, but have now obtained mercy through their disobedience,

³¹ so they too have now become disobedient, that they also may obtain mercy through the mercy shown to you.

³² For God delivered up all to disobedience, that he might have mercy upon all.

³³ O the depth of the riches, and of the wisdom, and of the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his purposes, and his ways past finding out!

³⁴ For “who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been made his counselor?”

³⁵ or “who first gave to him, and shall receive a return?”

²⁹ For God never regrets his gifts or his call.

³⁰ Just as you at one time were disobedient to him, but have now found mercy in the day of their disobedience;

³¹ so, too, they have now become disobedient in your day of mercy, in order that they also in their turn may now find mercy.

³² For God has given all alike over to disobedience, that to all alike he may show mercy.

³³ Oh! The unfathomable wisdom and knowledge of God! How inscrutable are his judgements, how untraceable his ways! Yes —

²⁹ For verely the gyftes and callynge of god are soche that it cannot repent him of them:

³⁰ for loke as ye in tyme passed have not beleved God yet have now obtayned mercy thorow their vnbelefe:

³¹ even so now have they not beleved the mercy which is happened vnto you that they also maye obtayne mercy.

³² God hath wrapped all nacions in vnbeleve that he myght have mercie on all.

³³ O the depnes of the aboundaunt wysdome and knowledge of God: how vnserchable are his iudgementes and his wayes past findyng out.

³⁴ For who hath knowen the mynde of the lorde? or who was his counseller?

³⁵ other who hath geven vnto him fyrst that he myght be recompensed agayne?

²⁹ For the gifts and the call of God are unchangeable.

³⁰ For you were formerly disobedient to God, but now you have received mercy because of their disobedience.

³¹ In the same way, now these Jews have been disobedient. The result was that by the mercy shown to you they may also now receive mercy.

³² For God has shut up all into disobedience, in order that he might show mercy on all.

³³ Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways beyond discovering!

³⁴ “For who has known the mind of the Lord or who has become his advisor?

³⁵ Or who has first given anything to God, that God must repay him?”

²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

³⁰ For as you in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience,

³¹ even so these also have now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they may also obtain mercy.

³³ O! the highness of the riches of the wisdom and of the knowing, of God; how incomprehensible be his dooms, and his ways be unsearchable.

³⁴ For why who knew the wit of the Lord, or who was his counsellor?

³⁵ or who former gave to him, and it shall be requited again to him?

²⁹ And the gifts and the calling of God be without forthinking, (or repenting), or revoking.

³⁰ And as sometime also ye believed not to God, but now ye have gotten mercy for the unbelief of them;

³¹ so and these now believed not into your mercy, (so) that also they get mercy.

³² For God closed all things together in unbelief or Forsooth God closed together all things in unbelief, (so) that he have mercy on all.

³³ O! the highness of the riches of the wisdom and of the cunning, (or the knowing, or the knowledge), of God +or O! the depth of the riches of wisdom and cunning of God; how incomprehensible be his dooms (or how incomprehensible be his judgements), and his ways be unsearchable.

³⁴ For why who knew the wit of the Lord (or For who knew the mind, or the thinking, of the Lord), or who was his counsellor?

³⁵ or who former gave to him (or who first gave to him), and (after) it shall be requited again to him?

²⁹ for unrepented of are the gifts and the calling of God;

³⁰ for as ye also once did not believe in God, and now did find kindness by the unbelief of these:

³¹ so also these now did not believe, that in your kindness they also may find kindness;

³² for God did shut up together the whole to unbelief, that to the whole He might do kindness.

³³ O depth of riches, and wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable His judgments, and untraceable His ways!

³⁴ for who did know the mind of the Lord? or who did become His counsellor?

³⁵ or who did first give to Him, and it shall be given back to him again?
