¹⁸ Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led away captives; Thou hast received gifts among men, Yea, among the rebellious also, that Jehovah God might dwell with them.

¹⁹ Blessed be the Lord, who daily beareth our burden, Even the God who is our salvation. Selah

²⁰ God is unto us a God of deliverances; And unto Jehovah the Lord belongeth escape from death.

²¹ But God will smite through the head of his enemies, The hairy scalp of such a one as goeth on still in his guiltiness.

²² The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring them again from the depths of the sea;

²³ That thou mayest crush them, dipping thy foot in blood, That the tongue of thy dogs may have its portion from thine enemies.

¹⁸ And turn not away thy face from thy servant; for I am afflicted: hear me speedily.

¹⁹ Draw nigh to my soul and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.

²⁰ For thou knowest my reproach, and my shame, and my confusion; all that afflict me are before thee.

²¹ My soul has waited for reproach and misery; and I waited for one to grieve with me, but there was none; and for one to comfort me, but I found none.

²² They gave me also gall for my food, and made me drink vinegar for my thirst.

²³ Let their table before them be for a snare, and for a recompence, and for a stumbling-block.

¹⁸ He ascended the sacred mountain where his temple is, and took with him many people who had been captured in battles; and received gifts from the enemies whom he had defeated. He received gifts even from those who had rebelled against him, and Yahweh our God will live there in his sacred temple forever.

¹⁹ Praise the Lord, who helps us carry our heavy loads every day; he is the one who saves/rescues us.

²⁰ Our God is the God who saves us; He is Yahweh, our Lord, the one who ◄allows us to escape/prevents us► from being killed in battles.

²¹ But God will smash the heads of his enemies, the skulls of those who continue to behave sinfully.

²² The Lord said, “I will bring back the corpses of those who were killed in Bashan, and I will bring back those who sank deep in the ocean and drowned.

²³ I will do that in order that you may wash your feet in their blood, and your dogs can also lap up some of your enemies' blood.”

²⁰ Our God is for us a God of salvation; his are the ways out of death.

²¹ The heads of the haters of God will be crushed; even the head of him who still goes on in his evil ways.

²² The Lord said, I will make them come back from Bashan, and from the deep parts of the sea;

²³ So that your foot may be red with blood, and the tongues of your dogs with the same.

¹⁸ Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts in Man, and even for the rebellious, for the dwelling there of Jah Elohim.

¹⁹ Blessed be the Lord: day by day doth he load us with good, the God who is our salvation. Selah.

²⁰ Our God is the God of salvation; and with Jehovah, the Lord, are the goings forth even from death.

²¹ Verily God will smite the head of his enemies, the hairy scalp of him that goeth on still in his trespasses.

²² The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring them again from the depth of the sea;

²³ That thou mayest dip thy foot in blood: the tongue of thy dogs has its portion from enemies.

¹⁸ And turn not away thy face from thy servant: for I am in trouble, hear me speedily.

¹⁹ Attend to my soul, and deliver it: save me because of my enemies.

²⁰ Thou knowest my reproach, and my confusion, and my shame.

²¹ In thy sight are all they that afflict me; my heart hath expected reproach and misery. And I looked for one that would grieve together with me, but there was none: and for one that would comfort me, and I found none.

²² And they gave me gall for my food, and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.

²³ Let their table become as a snare before them, and a recompense, and a stumblingblock.

¹⁸ As you ascended to your high throne you led a procession of prisoners. You received gifts from the people, even from those who had rebelled against the home of the Lord God.

¹⁹ May the Lord be blessed, for every day he carries our burdens. God is our salvation. Selah.

²⁰ For us, God is a God who saves. The Lord God provides our escape from death.

²¹ But God will crush the heads of his enemies, the hairy heads of those who continue to sin.

²² The Lord says, “I will drag them down from Bashan; I will drag them up from the depths of the sea,

²³ so that you may walk in their blood. Even your dogs will have their share of your enemies.”

¹⁸ Thou art gone vp on high: thou hast led captiuitie captiue, and receiued giftes for men: yea, euen the rebellious hast thou led, that the Lord God might dwell there.

¹⁹ Praysed be the Lord, euen the God of our saluation, which ladeth vs dayly with benefites. Selah.

²⁰ This is our God, euen the God that saueth vs: and to the Lord God belong the issues of death.

²¹ Surely God will wound the head of his enemies, and the hearie pate of him that walketh in his sinnes.

²² The Lord hath sayde, I will bring my people againe from Bashan: I will bring them againe from the depths of the Sea:

²³ That thy foote may bee dipped in blood, and the tongue of thy dogges in the blood of the enemies, euen in it.

²¹ (68:22) But God will crush the head of his enemies, the hairy skull of him who walketh in his guiltiness.

²² (68:23) The Lord hath said, From Bashan will I bring back, I will bring back from the depths of the sea:

²³ (68:24) In order that thou mayest wade with thy feet in blood, feeding the tongue of thy dogs from the enemies' blood.

²⁰ Our God is a God of salvation; From the Lord Jehovah cometh deliverance from death.

²¹ But God smiteth the head of his enemies, Even the hairy crowns of those who go on in their iniquity.

²² “I will bring them back,” saith the Lord, “from Bashan; I will bring them back from the deep sea;

²³ That thy foot may be dipped in their blood, That thy dogs may drink the blood of thine enemies.”

¹⁸ You did mount the height with trains of your captives, and gifts that you had received from the people. The rebels shall live with the Lord God.

²⁰ Our God is God to make men safe; and outgoing or the going-out from death is of the Lord God.

²¹ Nevertheless God shall break the heads of his enemies; the top of the hair of them that go in their trespasses.

²² The Lord said, I shall turn from Bashan; I shall turn into the depth of the sea.

²³ That thy foot be dipped in blood; the tongue of thy dogs be dipped in blood of the enemies of him.

¹⁸ Thou ascendedest on high, thou tookest captivity (captive); thou receivedest gifts among men. For why thou tookest (also from) them that believed not; for to dwell in the Lord God. (Thou ascendedest on high, thou tookest the captivity captive; thou receivedest gifts, or tribute, from people. But thou also receivedest gifts from those who believed not or from those who were rebellious; so that the Lord God might live among them.)

¹⁹ Blessed be the Lord each day; the God of our healths shall make an easy way to us. (Blessed be the Lord; each day the God of our salvation shall make our way easier for us.)

²⁰ Our God is God to make men safe; and out-going from death is of the Lord God. (Our God is the God who saveth people; and our escape from death is by the Lord God.)

²¹ Nevertheless God shall break the heads of his enemies; the top of the hair of them that go in their trespasses. (But God shall break the heads of his enemies; yea, the top of their hair who go in their trespasses.)

²² The Lord said, I shall turn (again) from Bashan; I shall turn (again) into the depth of the sea. (The Lord said, I shall return from Bashan; I shall return from the depths of the sea./The Lord said, I shall bring back my people from Bashan; I shall bring them back from the depths of the sea.)

²³ That thy foot be dipped in blood; the tongue of thy dogs be dipped in (the) blood of the enemies of him. (So that thy feet can be dipped in the blood of thy enemies; and so that the tongues of thy dogs can also be dipped in their blood.)

¹⁸ Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast taken captive captivity, Thou hast taken gifts for men, That even the refractory may rest, O Jah God.

¹⁹ Blessed is the Lord, day by day He layeth on us. God Himself is our salvation. Selah.

²⁰ God Himself is to us a God for deliverances, And Jehovah Lord hath the outgoings of death.

²¹ Only — God doth smite The head of His enemies, The hairy crown of a habitual walker in his guilt.

²² The Lord said: 'From Bashan I bring back, I bring back from the depths of the sea.

²³ So that thou dashest thy foot in blood, In the blood of enemies — the tongue of Thy dogs.'
