Proverbs 10:5-11 in English

⁵ He that gathereth in summer is a wise son; But he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.

⁶ Blessings are upon the head of the righteous; But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

⁷ The memory of the righteous is blessed; But the name of the wicked shall rot.

⁸ The wise in heart will receive commandments; But a prating fool shall fall.

⁵ Those who are wise, harvest the crops when they are ripe; it is shameful/disgraceful to sleep and not work during harvest time.

⁶ Righteous people will be blessed by God; the nice things that wicked people say MTY sometimes conceal the fact that they are planning to act violently.

⁷ After righteous people die, other people are blessed as they remember what those people did before they died; but we will soon forget wicked people MTY after they die.

⁸ Wise people heed good instruction/advice, but people who talk foolishly will ruin themselves.

⁹ Honest people will be safe, but others (OR, God) will find out those who are dishonest.

¹⁰ Those who signal wihth their eyes that they are about to do something that is wrong cause trouble, but those who rebuke others truthfully cause them to be peaceful.

¹¹ What righteous people say MTY is like a fountain that ◄gives life/enables people to live many years► MET, but what wicked people say MTY hides the fact that they intend to act violently.

⁸ The wise-hearted man will let himself be ruled, but the man whose talk is foolish will have a fall.

⁹ He whose ways are upright will go safely, but he whose ways are twisted will be made low.

¹⁰ He who makes signs with his eyes is a cause of trouble, but he who makes a man see his errors is a cause of peace.

¹¹ The mouth of the upright man is a fountain of life, but the mouth of the evil-doer is a bitter cup.

¹¹ The mouth of the just is a vein of life: and the mouth of the wicked covereth iniquity.

⁵ A son who gathers crops during the summer is sensible, but the one who sleeps during harvest brings disgrace.

⁶ Those who are good are blessed, but what the wicked say hides their violent nature.

⁷ The good are remembered as a blessing, but the reputation of the wicked will rot.

⁸ Those who think wisely pay attention to instruction, but a stupid chatterbox ends up in disaster.

⁹ Honest people will live in safety, but those who behave deceitfully will be caught out.

¹⁰ People who wink slyly cause trouble, but someone who gives a strong rebuke brings peace.

¹¹ What good people say is a spring that gives life, but what the wicked say hides their violent nature.

⁵ He that gathereth in sommer, is the sonne of wisdome: but he that sleepeth in haruest, is the sonne of confusion.

⁷ The mind or memory of a just or rightwise man shall be with praisings; and the name of wicked men shall wax rotten.

⁸ A wise man shall receive commandments with heart; a fool is beaten with his own lips.

⁹ He that goeth simply, goeth trustily; but he that maketh shrewd his ways, shall be made open.

¹⁰ He that beckoneth with the eye, shall give sorrow; a fool shall be beaten with his own lips.

¹¹ The vein of life is the mouth of a just or rightwise man; but the mouth of wicked men covereth wickedness.

⁵ He that gathereth together in harvest, is a wise son; but he that sleepeth in summer, is a son of confusion. (He who gathereth together at harvest time, is wise; but he who sleepeth in summer, is a disgrace.)

⁶ The blessing of God is over the head of a just man; but wickedness covereth the mouth of wicked men. (The blessing of God is upon the heads of the righteous; but wickedness covereth the mouths of the wicked.)

⁷ The mind of a just man shall be with praisings; and the name of wicked men shall wax rotten. (The righteous shall be remembered with praise or The memory of the righteous is blessed; but the names of the wicked shall grow rotten.)

⁸ A wise man shall receive commandments with heart (or A wise person shall take commandments to heart); a fool is beaten with (his own) lips.

⁹ He that goeth simply, goeth trustily; but he that maketh shrewd his ways, shall be made open. (He who goeth with honesty, or with integrity, goeth with security; but he who maketh his ways depraved, shall be exposed.)

¹⁰ He that beckoneth with the eye, shall give sorrow; a fool shall be beaten with (his own) lips.

¹¹ The vein of life is the mouth of a just man; but the mouth of wicked men covereth wickedness. (The words of the righteous be a fountain of life; but wickedness covereth the mouths of the wicked.)
