⁹ Honor Jehovah with thy substance, And with the first-fruits of all thine increase:

¹⁰ So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, And thy vats shall overflow with new wine.

¹¹ My son, despise not the chastening of Jehovah; Neither be weary of his reproof:

¹² For whom Jehovah loveth he reproveth, Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

¹³ Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, And the man that getteth understanding.

¹⁴ For the gaining of it is better than the gaining of silver, And the profit thereof than fine gold.

¹⁵ She is more precious than rubies: And none of the things thou canst desire are to be compared unto her.

¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand; In her left hand are riches and honor.

¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace.

¹⁸ She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: And happy is every one that retaineth her.

¹⁹ Jehovah by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding he established the heavens.

²⁰ By his knowledge the depths were broken up, And the skies drop down the dew.

⁹ Honour the Lord with thy just labours, and give him the first of thy fruits of righteousness:

¹⁰ that thy storehouses may be completely filled with corn, and that thy presses may burst forth with wine.

¹¹ My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

¹² for whom the Lord loves, he rebukes, and scourges every son whom he receives.

¹³ Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, and the mortal who knows prudence.

¹⁴ For it is better to traffic for her, than for treasures of gold and silver.

¹⁵ And she is more valuable than precious stones: no evil thing shall resist her: she is well known to all that approach her, and no precious thing is equal to her in value.

¹⁶ For length of existence and years of life are in her right hand; and in her left hand are wealth and glory:

^16a out of her mouth proceeds righteousness, and she carries law and mercy upon her tongue.

¹⁷ Her ways are good ways, and all her paths are peaceful.

¹⁸ She is a tree of life to all that lay hold upon her; and she is a secure help to all that stay themselves on her, as on the Lord.

⁹ Honor Yahweh by what you do with your money; and by giving him the first part of your harvest.

¹⁰ If you do that, you will have a good harvest. Yahweh will fill your barns with grain, and your vats/containers will be overflowing with grape juice for making wine.

¹¹ My son, when Yahweh disciplines/corrects you, do not despise it, and if he rebukes you, do not resent it.

¹² I say that because it is the people whom Yahweh loves that he corrects/reproves, just like parents correct/reprove their sons whom they love.

¹³ Yahweh is pleased with those who become wise and have good understanding.

¹⁴ Being wise and having good understanding is worth more than silver, better than gold.

¹⁵ Being wise is more precious than ◄jewels/precious stones►; there is nothing that you could desire that would be as valuable as wisdom.

¹⁶ On the one hand, wisdom PRS enables you to live a long life, and on the other hand, wisdom enables you to become rich and to be honored.

¹⁷ If you are wise, your life will be pleasant, and things will go well for you.

¹⁸ Wisdom is like a tree that gives long life to those who eagerly take hold of it, and Yahweh is pleased with those who hold onto it tightly.

¹⁹ By his wisdom Yahweh created the earth, and by his understanding he put everything in the skies.

²⁰ By his knowledge he caused the water that was beneath the earth to burst forth, and he caused rain to fall from the clouds.

¹⁴ For trading in it is better than trading in silver, and its profit greater than bright gold.

¹⁵ She is of more value than jewels, and nothing for which you may have a desire is fair in comparison with her.

¹⁶ Long life is in her right hand, and in her left are wealth and honour.

¹⁷ Her ways are ways of delight, and all her goings are peace.

¹⁸ She is a tree of life to all who take her in their hands, and happy is everyone who keeps her.

¹⁹ The Lord by wisdom put in position the bases of the earth; by reason he put the heavens in their place.

²⁰ By his knowledge the deep was parted, and dew came dropping from the skies.

¹³ Blessed is the man that findeth wisdom and is rich in prudence:

¹⁴ The purchasing thereof is better than the merchandise of silver, and her fruit than the chiefest and purest gold:

¹⁵ She is more precious than all riches: and all the things that are desired, are not to be compared with her.

¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand, and in her left hand riches and glory.

¹⁷ Her ways are beautiful ways, and all her paths are peaceable.

¹⁸ She is a tree of life to them that lay hold on her: and he that shall retain her is blessed.

¹⁹ The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth, hath established the heavens by prudence.

²⁰ By his wisdom the depths have broken out, and the clouds grow thick with dew.

⁹ Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all the crops you grow.

¹⁰ Then your barns will be filled with produce, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

¹¹ My son, don't reject the Lord's discipline or resent it when he corrects you,

¹² for the Lord corrects those he loves, as a father corrects a son who pleases him.

¹³ Happy are those who find wisdom and gain understanding,

¹⁴ for wisdom is worth more than silver, and pays better than gold.

¹⁵ She is more valuable than rubies—everything you could ever want just doesn't compare!

¹⁶ She offers long life in one hand, and riches and honor in the other.

¹⁷ She brings true happiness, and leads to peaceful prosperity.

¹⁸ Wisdom is a tree of life to everyone who embraces her, blessing those who accept her.

¹⁹ It was through wisdom that the Lord created the earth, and through understanding he set the heavens in place.

²⁰ It was through his knowledge the waters of the deep were broken open, and the clouds sent down the dew.

⁹ Honour the Lord with thy riches, and with the first fruites of all thine increase.

¹¹ My sonne, refuse not the chastening of the Lord, neither be grieued with his correction.

¹¹ My son, don’t despise Adonai ’s discipline, neither be despondent when he corrects you:

¹² for whom Adonai 'ahav ·affectionately loves·, he reproves; even as a father reproves his son in whom he delights.

¹³ Happy is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gets understanding.

¹⁴ For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her teshuvah ·complete return· is better than fine gold.

¹⁵ She is more precious than rubies. None of the things you can desire are to be compared to her.

¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand. In her left hand are riches and kavod ·weighty glory·.

¹¹ My son, do not despise Yahweh's instruction and do not hate his rebuke,

¹² for Yahweh disciplines those he loves, as a father deals with a son who pleases him.

¹³ The one who finds wisdom is blessed; he also gets understanding.

¹⁴ What you gain from wisdom is better than what silver will give in return and its profit is better than gold.

¹⁵ Wisdom is more precious than jewels and nothing you desire can compare to her.

¹⁰ and (then) thy barns shall be filled with abundance, and thy pressers shall flow with wine (or and thy winepresses shall flow with wine).

²⁰ The depths of waters brake out by his wisdom; and (the) clouds waxed (al)together with dew.

⁹ Honour Jehovah from thy substance, And from the beginning of all thine increase;

¹⁰ And filled are thy barns with plenty, And with new wine thy presses break forth.

¹¹ Chastisement of Jehovah, my son, despise not, And be not vexed with His reproof,

¹² For whom Jehovah loveth He reproveth, Even as a father the son He is pleased with.

¹³ O the happiness of a man who hath found wisdom, And of a man who bringeth forth understanding.

¹⁴ For better is her merchandise Than the merchandise of silver, And than gold — her increase.

¹⁵ Precious she is above rubies, And all thy pleasures are not comparable to her.

¹⁶ Length of days is in her right hand, In her left are wealth and honour.

¹⁷ Her ways are ways of pleasantness, And all her paths are peace.

¹⁸ A tree of life she is to those laying hold on her, And whoso is retaining her is happy.

¹⁹ Jehovah by wisdom did found the earth, He prepared the heavens by understanding.

²⁰ By His knowledge depths have been rent, And clouds do drop dew.
