Proverbs 3:9-12 in English

⁹ Honor Jehovah with thy substance, And with the first-fruits of all thine increase:

¹⁰ So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, And thy vats shall overflow with new wine.

¹¹ My son, despise not the chastening of Jehovah; Neither be weary of his reproof:

¹² For whom Jehovah loveth he reproveth, Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

⁹ Honour the Lord with thy just labours, and give him the first of thy fruits of righteousness:

¹⁰ that thy storehouses may be completely filled with corn, and that thy presses may burst forth with wine.

¹¹ My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

¹² for whom the Lord loves, he rebukes, and scourges every son whom he receives.

⁹ Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

¹¹ My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his reproof:

¹² For whom the LORD loveth he reproveth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

⁹ Honor Yahweh by what you do with your money; and by giving him the first part of your harvest.

¹⁰ If you do that, you will have a good harvest. Yahweh will fill your barns with grain, and your vats/containers will be overflowing with grape juice for making wine.

¹¹ My son, when Yahweh disciplines/corrects you, do not despise it, and if he rebukes you, do not resent it.

¹² I say that because it is the people whom Yahweh loves that he corrects/reproves, just like parents correct/reprove their sons whom they love.

⁹ Give honour to the Lord with your wealth, and with the first-fruits of all your increase:

¹⁰ So your store-houses will be full of grain, and your vessels overflowing with new wine.

¹¹ My son, do not make your heart hard against the Lord's teaching; do not be made angry by his training:

¹² For to those who are dear to him the Lord says sharp words, and makes the son in whom he has delight undergo pain.

⁹ Honour Jehovah with thy substance, and with the first-fruits of all thine increase;

¹⁰ so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy vats shall overflow with new wine.

¹¹ My son, despise not the instruction of Jehovah, neither be weary of his chastisement;

¹² for whom Jehovah loveth he chasteneth, even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

⁹ Honour the Lord with thy substance, and give him of the first of all thy fruits:

¹⁰ And thy barns shall be filled with abundance, and thy presses shall run over with wine.

¹¹ My son, reject not the correction of the Lord: and do not faint when thou art chastised by him:

¹² For whom the Lord loveth, he chastiseth: and as a father in the son he pleaseth himself.

⁹ Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all the crops you grow.

¹⁰ Then your barns will be filled with produce, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

¹¹ My son, don't reject the Lord's discipline or resent it when he corrects you,

¹² for the Lord corrects those he loves, as a father corrects a son who pleases him.

⁹ Honour the Lord with thy riches, and with the first fruites of all thine increase.

¹⁰ So shall thy barnes be filled with abundance, and thy presses shall burst with newe wine.

¹¹ My sonne, refuse not the chastening of the Lord, neither be grieued with his correction.

¹² For the Lord correcteth him, whome he loueth, euen as the father doeth the childe in whom he deliteth.

⁹ Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the first-fruits of all thine increase;

¹⁰ So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy vats shall overflow with new wine.

¹¹ My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD, neither spurn thou His correction;

¹² For whom the LORD loveth He correcteth, even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

⁹ Honour the Lord with thy substance, And with the firstfruits of all thine increase:

¹⁰ So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, And thy presses shall burst out with new wine.

¹¹ My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; Neither be weary of his correction:

¹² For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; Even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.

⁹ Honor the Lord with thy wealth, and with the first-fruits of all thy products:

¹⁰ So shall thy storehouses be filled with plenty, and with new wine shall thy presses overflow.

¹¹ The correction of the Lord, my son, do not despise; and feel no loathing for his admonition;

¹² Because whomever the Lord loveth he admonisheth; and as a father who delighteth in his son.

⁹ Honor the Lord with thy just labors, And give him the first of thy fruits of righteousness:

¹¹ My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; Nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:

⁹ Honor Adonai with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase:

¹⁰ so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

¹¹ My son, don’t despise Adonai ’s discipline, neither be despondent when he corrects you:

¹² for whom Adonai 'ahav ·affectionately loves·, he reproves; even as a father reproves his son in whom he delights.

⁹ Honor Yahweh with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce,

¹⁰ and your storehouses will be filled up and your vats will be bursting, full of new wine.

¹¹ My son, do not despise Yahweh's instruction and do not hate his rebuke,

¹² for Yahweh disciplines those he loves, as a father deals with a son who pleases him.

⁹ Honor Yahweh with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase;

¹⁰ so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.

¹¹ My son, don’t despise Yahweh’s discipline, neither be weary of his correction;

¹² for whom Yahweh loves, he corrects, even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.

¹⁰ and thy barns shall be filled with abundance, and thy pressers or presses shall flow with wine.

¹¹ My son, cast thou not away the teaching of the Lord; and fail thou not, when thou art chastised of him.

¹² For the Lord chastiseth him, whom he loveth; and as a father in the son he pleaseth him.

⁹ Honour thou the Lord of thy chattel, and of the best of all thy fruits give thou to poor men; (Honour thou the Lord with thy possessions, and with the best of all thy fruits, or of all thy earnings;)

¹⁰ and (then) thy barns shall be filled with abundance, and thy pressers shall flow with wine (or and thy winepresses shall flow with wine).

¹¹ My son, cast thou not away the teaching of the Lord; and fail thou not, when thou art chastised of him, (or and faint thou not, or and spurn thou him not, when thou art disciplined by him).

¹² For the Lord chastiseth him, whom he loveth; and as a father in the son he pleaseth him (or and like a father to his son who pleaseth him).

⁹ Honour Jehovah from thy substance, And from the beginning of all thine increase;

¹⁰ And filled are thy barns with plenty, And with new wine thy presses break forth.

¹¹ Chastisement of Jehovah, my son, despise not, And be not vexed with His reproof,

¹² For whom Jehovah loveth He reproveth, Even as a father the son He is pleased with.
