²⁵ Be not afraid of sudden fear, Neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh:

²⁶ For Jehovah will be thy confidence, And will keep thy foot from being taken.

²⁷ Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, When it is in the power of thy hand to do it.

²⁸ Say not unto thy neighbor, Go, and come again, And to-morrow I will give; When thou hast it by thee.

²⁹ Devise not evil against thy neighbor, Seeing he dwelleth securely by thee.

³⁰ Strive not with a man without cause, If he have done thee no harm.

³¹ Envy thou not the man of violence, And choose none of his ways.

³² For the perverse is an abomination to Jehovah; But his friendship is with the upright.

²⁵ And thou shalt not be afraid of alarm coming upon thee, neither of approaching attacks of ungodly men.

³¹ Procure not the reproaches of bad men, neither do thou covet their ways.

²⁵ You will not be afraid that something disastrous will happen to you or that storms that strike the wicked will strike you,

²⁶ because you will be confident that Yahweh will take care of you. He will not let your foot be caught in a trap/snare.

²⁷ If you are able to help people who deserve it, do not refuse to help them.

²⁸ If you are able to help someone you interact with, do not say, “Come back later; perhaps I can help you tomorrow.”

²⁹ Do not make plans to harm those you interact with regularly, because they live near you, and they trust you.

³⁰ If someone has not harmed you, do not accuse him by saying that he has harmed you.

³¹ Do not envy people who obtain things by violent actions, and do not imitate/do what they do.

³² I say that because Yahweh considers such people to be abominable/detestable; but he is a friend to all those who do what is right.

³² For the wrong-hearted man is hated by the Lord, but he is a friend to the upright.

³² For every mocker is an abomination to the Lord, and his communication is with the simple.

²⁵ You won't be afraid of a sudden panic, or of disasters that hit the wicked,

²⁶ for the Lord will be the one you can trust in, and he will prevent you being caught in a trap.

²⁷ Don't hold back good from those who deserve it when it's something you have the power to do.

²⁸ Don't tell your neighbor, “Go away. Come back tomorrow and then I'll give it to you,” when you've already got it.

²⁹ Don't plan to harm your neighbor who lives nearby and trusts you.

³⁰ Don't quarrel with anybody for no reason, when they haven't done anything to hurt you.

³¹ Don't be jealous of violent people—don't choose to follow their example!

³² For the Lord hates deceitful people, but he is a friend to those who do what is good.

³¹ Bee not enuious for the wicked man, neither chuse any of his wayes.

²⁸ Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again, and tomorrow I will give it,” when you have the money with you.

²⁹ Do not make a plan to harm your neighbor— the one who lives close and trusts you.

³⁰ Do not argue with a person without a reason, when he has done nothing to harm you.

³¹ Do not envy a violent person or choose any of his ways.

³² For the devious person is detestable to Yahweh, but he brings the upright person into his confidence.

³¹ Pursue thou not an unjust or unrightwise man, pursue or follow thou not his ways.

³² For each deceiver is abomination to the Lord; and his speaking is with simple men.

²⁵ Dread thou not of sudden fear, and the powers of wicked men falling in on thee. (Fear thou not sudden disaster, and the power, or the might, of the wicked falling in upon thee.)

²⁶ For the Lord shall be at thy side; and he shall keep thy foot (safe), that thou be not taken.

²⁷ Do not thou forbid to do well him that may; if thou mayest, also do thou well. (Do not thou forbid anyone to do good who can; and if thou be able, thou do good as well.)

²⁸ Say thou not to thy friend, Go, and turn again, and tomorrow I shall give to thee; when thou mayest give anon. (Say thou not to thy friend, Go away, and return tomorrow, and then I shall give you what you need; when thou can give it to him at once.)

²⁹ Imagine thou not evil to thy friend (or Imagine thou not evil against thy friend), when he hath trust in thee.

³⁰ Strive thou not against a man without cause, when he doeth none evil to thee. (Do not thou argue with someone for no reason, when he hath done nothing wrong to thee.)

³¹ Follow thou not an unjust man (or Do not thou follow a law-breaker), follow thou not his ways.

³² For each deceiver is (an) abomination to the Lord; and his speaking is with simple men (or and the Lord speaketh to those who be honest, or have integrity).

²⁵ Be not afraid of sudden fear, And of the desolation of the wicked when it cometh.

²⁶ For Jehovah is at thy side, And He hath kept thy foot from capture.

²⁷ Withhold not good from its owners, When thy hand is toward God to do it.

²⁸ Say not thou to thy friend, 'Go, and return, and to-morrow I give,' And substance with thee.

²⁹ Devise not against thy neighbour evil, And he sitting confidently with thee.

³⁰ Strive not with a man without cause, If he have not done thee evil.

³¹ Be not envious of a man of violence, Nor fix thou on any of his ways.

³² For an abomination to Jehovah is the perverted, And with the upright is His secret counsel.
