⁸ As one that bindeth a stone in a sling, So is he that giveth honor to a fool.

⁹ As a thorn that goeth up into the hand of a drunkard, So is a parable in the mouth of fools.

¹⁰ As an archer that woundeth all, So is he that hireth a fool and he that hireth them that pass by.

¹¹ As a dog that returneth to his vomit, So is a fool that repeateth his folly.

¹² Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? There is more hope of a fool than of him.

¹³ The sluggard saith, There is a lion in the way; A lion is in the streets.

¹⁰ A man who shoots arrows to try to wound everybody who is near is foolish; similarly, anyone who hires a foolish person who passes by is very foolish.

¹¹ A foolish person will foolishly do something stupid a second time; it is like SIM a dog returning to eat what it has vomited.

¹² God can help/bless foolish people more easily than he can help/bless people who are not wise RHQ, but think that they are wise.

¹³ Lazy people just stay inside their houses and do nothing; they keep saying “ I think there is a lion in the street!”

¹¹ As a dog that turneth again to his spewing or As an hound that turneth again to his vomit; so is an unprudent man, that rehearseth his folly. (Like a dog that returneth to his vomit, is an imprudent person, who repeateth his own foolishness.)

¹² Thou hast seen a man seem wise to himself; an unknowing man shall have hope more than he. (Thou hast seen a person who taketh himself to be wise; but a person without knowledge, yea, a fool, shall have more hope than him.)

¹³ A slow man saith, A lion is in the way, a lioness is in the footpaths. (A lazy person saith, A lion is there on the way, a lioness is there on the footpaths!)
