¹⁰ As an archer that woundeth all, So is he that hireth a fool and he that hireth them that pass by.

¹¹ As a dog that returneth to his vomit, So is a fool that repeateth his folly.

¹² Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? There is more hope of a fool than of him.

¹³ The sluggard saith, There is a lion in the way; A lion is in the streets.

¹⁴ As the door turneth upon its hinges, So doth the sluggard upon his bed.

¹⁵ The sluggard burieth his hand in the dish; It wearieth him to bring it again to his mouth.

¹⁶ The sluggard is wiser in his own conceit Than seven men that can render a reason.

¹⁷ He that passeth by, and vexeth himself with strife belonging not to him, Is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.

¹⁸ As a madman who casteth firebrands, Arrows, and death,

¹² God can help/bless foolish people more easily than he can help/bless people who are not wise RHQ, but think that they are wise.

¹³ Lazy people just stay inside their houses and do nothing; they keep saying “ I think there is a lion in the street!”

¹⁴ A door continually swings back and forth on its hinges and does not go anywhere; similarly SIM, lazy people just continually turn over in their beds and never do anything.

¹⁵ Some people are extremely lazy; they put their hand in a dish to get some food but do not even lift the food up to their mouths.

¹⁶ Lazy people think that they are wiser than seven/several people who can answer others' questions with good sense.

¹⁷ Anyone who ◄meddles/involves himself► in a quarrel that does not concern him is as foolish as SIM someone who tries to grab a passing dog by its ears.

¹⁸ Crazy people who shoot burning arrows to kill people

¹⁷ He who gets mixed up in a fight which is not his business, is like one who takes a dog by the ears while it is going by.

¹⁸ As one who is off his head sends about flaming sticks and arrows of death,

¹⁰ A master roughly worketh every one: he both hireth the fool and hireth passers-by.

¹⁰ Anyone who hires someone stupid or just a passer-by is like an archer wounding people by shooting arrows at random.

¹¹ Stupid people repeat their stupidity like a dog returning to its vomit.

¹² Have you seen a man who is wise in his own eyes? There's more hope for stupid people than for him!

¹³ Lazy people are the ones who say, “There's a lion on the road—a lion running around the streets!”

¹⁴ A lazy person turns in bed like a door turns on its hinge.

¹⁵ Lazy people put their hands in a dish, but are too tired to lift the food to their mouths.

¹⁶ In their own eyes lazy people are wiser than many sensible advisors.

¹⁷ Interfering in someone else's quarrel is like grabbing a stray dog by the ears.

¹⁸ You're like a crazy person firing off blazing arrows and killing people

¹⁰ The excellent that formed all things, both rewardeth the foole and rewardeth the transgressers.

¹¹ As a dog turneth againe to his owne vomit, so a foole turneth to his foolishnes.

¹² Seest thou a man wise in his owne conceite? more hope is of a foole then of him.

¹¹ As a dog that turneth again to his spewing or As an hound that turneth again to his vomit; so is an unprudent man, that rehearseth his folly. (Like a dog that returneth to his vomit, is an imprudent person, who repeateth his own foolishness.)

¹² Thou hast seen a man seem wise to himself; an unknowing man shall have hope more than he. (Thou hast seen a person who taketh himself to be wise; but a person without knowledge, yea, a fool, shall have more hope than him.)

¹³ A slow man saith, A lion is in the way, a lioness is in the footpaths. (A lazy person saith, A lion is there on the way, a lioness is there on the footpaths!)

¹⁴ As a door is turned in his hinges; so a slow man in his bed. (Like a door turning on its hinges, is a lazy person turning in his bed.)

¹⁵ A slow man hideth his hands under his armpit; and he travaileth, if he turneth them up to his mouth. (A lazy person hideth his hands under his armpit; and he laboureth, if he turneth them up to his mouth.)

¹⁶ A slow man seemeth wiser to himself, than seven men speaking sentences. (A lazy person seemeth wiser to himself, than seven people speaking forth their thoughts.)

¹⁷ As he that taketh a dog by the ears; so he that passeth, and is unpatient, and is meddled with the chiding of another man. (Like he who taketh a dog by the ears, is he who passeth by, and is impatient, and is mixed in, or mingled, with the argument of another man.)

¹⁸ As he is guilty, that sendeth spears and arrows into death, (Like he is guilty, who sendeth spears and arrows into uncertainty, causing death,)

¹⁰ Great is the Former of all, And He is rewarding a fool, And is rewarding transgressors.

¹¹ As a dog hath returned to its vomit, A fool is repeating his folly.
