Proverbs 10:9-14 in English

⁹ He that walketh uprightly walketh surely; But he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

¹⁰ He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow; But a prating fool shall fall.

¹¹ The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life; But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.

¹² Hatred stirreth up strifes; But love covereth all transgressions.

¹³ In the lips of him that hath discernment wisdom is found; But a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.

¹⁴ Wise men lay up knowledge; But the mouth of the foolish is a present destruction.

⁹ He that walks simply, walks confidently; but he that perverts his ways shall be known.

¹⁰ He that winks with his eyes deceitfully, procures griefs for men; but he that reproves boldly is a peacemaker.

¹¹ There is a fountain of life in the hand of a righteous man; but destruction shall cover the mouth of the ungodly.

¹⁰ Those who signal wihth their eyes that they are about to do something that is wrong cause trouble, but those who rebuke others truthfully cause them to be peaceful.

¹¹ What righteous people say MTY is like a fountain that ◄gives life/enables people to live many years► MET, but what wicked people say MTY hides the fact that they intend to act violently.

¹² When we hate others, it causes quarrels, but if we love others, we forgive them for the wrong things that they do.

¹³ Those who have good sense say MTY what is wise, but people who do not have good sense must be punished.

¹⁴ Wise people continue to learn all that they can, but when foolish people speak, they soon cause trouble.

¹² Hate is a cause of violent acts, but all errors are covered up by love.

¹³ In the lips of him who has knowledge wisdom is seen; but a rod is ready for the back of him who is without sense.

¹⁴ Knowledge is stored up by the wise, but the mouth of the foolish man is a destruction which is near.

⁹ He that walketh in integrity walketh securely; but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.

¹⁰ He that winketh with the eye causeth grief, and a prating fool shall fall.

¹¹ The mouth of a righteous man is a fountain of life; but the mouth of the wicked covereth violence.

¹⁰ People who wink slyly cause trouble, but someone who gives a strong rebuke brings peace.

¹¹ What good people say is a spring that gives life, but what the wicked say hides their violent nature.

¹² Hatred causes conflict, but love covers all wrongs.

¹³ Wisdom comes from people with good judgment, but stupid people are punished with a rod.

¹⁴ Wise people accumulate knowledge, but the chattering of stupid people is a prelude to disaster.

⁹ He that walketh vprightly, walketh boldely: but he that peruerteth his wayes, shalbe knowen.

¹⁰ He that winketh with the eye, worketh sorowe, and he yet is foolish in talke, shalbe beaten.

¹¹ The mouth of a righteous man is a welspring of life: but iniquitie couereth the mouth of the wicked.

¹² Hatred stirreth vp contentions: but loue couereth all trespasses.

¹³ In the lippes of him that hath vnderstanding wisdome is founde, and a rod shalbe for the backe of him that is destitute of wisedome.

¹⁴ Wise men lay vp knowledge: but ye mouth of the foole is a present destruction.

¹⁰ He that beckoneth with the eye, shall give sorrow; a fool shall be beaten with (his own) lips.

¹¹ The vein of life is the mouth of a just man; but the mouth of wicked men covereth wickedness. (The words of the righteous be a fountain of life; but wickedness covereth the mouths of the wicked.)

¹² Hatred raiseth up chidings; and charity covereth all sins. (Hatred raiseth up arguments, or strife; but love covereth all sins.)

¹³ Wisdom is found in the lips of a wise man; and a rod in the back of him that is needy of heart. (Wisdom is found on the lips of the wise; and a rod on the back of him who is foolish.)

¹⁴ Wise men hide knowing (or The wise store up knowledge); but the mouth of a fool is next to confusion.

⁹ Whoso is walking in integrity walketh confidently, And whoso is perverting his ways is known.

¹⁰ Whoso is winking the eye giveth grief, And a talkative fool kicketh.

¹¹ A fountain of life is the mouth of the righteous, And the mouth of the wicked cover doth violence.

¹² Hatred awaketh contentions, And over all transgressions love covereth.

¹³ In the lips of the intelligent is wisdom found, And a rod is for the back of him who is lacking understanding.
