Jude 1:20-23 in English

²⁰ But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

²² And on some have mercy, who are in doubt;

²³ and some save, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

²⁰ But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

²¹ Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

²² And of some have compassion, making a difference:

²³ And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

²⁰ But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

²² And on some have mercy, who are in doubt;

²³ and some save, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

²⁰ But you people whom I love, ◄hold/continue to trust► firmly to the very sacred truths that you believe. Pray by letting the Holy Spirit enable/empower you.

²¹ Keep conducting your lives in a way that is appropriate for those whom God loves. Keep constantly expecting that our Lord Jesus Christ will act mercifully toward you. Keep expecting that until the time when we begin living eternally with him.

²² Mercifully help those who are not certain what teaching they should believe.

²³ Rescue others from the influence of those who teach what is false MET, as you would rescue things by snatching them from a fire. Pity those whom the teachers of false doctrine have completely convinced, but beware that you yourselves are not influenced by them {that they do not influence you}. Detest doing or even thinking about the sins that those people commit, just like you would detest MET touching not only filthy things but the clothes that were stained by those things {that those things stained}.

²² And have pity on those who are in doubt;

²³ And to some give salvation, pulling them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the clothing which is made unclean by the flesh.

²⁰ But ye, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

²² And of some have compassion, making a difference,

²³ but others save with fear, snatching them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.

²⁰ But you, my beloved, building yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

²¹ Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, unto life everlasting.

²² And some indeed reprove, being judged:

²³ But others save, pulling them out of the fire. And on others have mercy, in fear, hating also the spotted garment which is carnal.

²⁰ But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life.

²² And have mercy on some, making a distinction;

²³ but others save with fear, snatching them out of the fire, hating even the garment having been stained by the flesh.

²⁰ But you, dear ones, building yourselves up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

²¹ keep yourselves in God's love, looking forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ into eternal life.

²² Now be merciful to some, making a distinction;

²³ but others save with fear, snatching them out of the fire, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.

²⁰ But you, my friends, are to build yourselves up through your trust in God. Pray in the Holy Spirit,

²¹ keep yourselves safe in God's love, and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ who brings eternal life.

²² Show kindness to those who doubt.

²³ Save those you can by snatching them out of the fire. Show mercy—but with great care, hating even the “clothing” that is contaminated by sinful human nature.

²⁰ But, yee beloued, edifie your selues in your most holy faith, praying in the holy Ghost,

²¹ And keepe your selues in the loue of God, looking for the mercie of our Lord Iesus Christ, vnto eternall life.

²² And haue compassion of some, in putting difference:

²³ And other saue with feare, pulling them out of the fire, and hate euen that garment which is spotted by the flesh.

²⁰ But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,

²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

²² And of some have compassion, making a difference:

²² And some rebuke when they contend; and others save, snatching them out of the fire; and on others have compassion

²⁰ But you must, dear friends, build up your characters on the foundation of your most holy faith, pray under the guidance of the Holy Spirit,

²¹ and keep within the love of God, while waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, to bring you to eternal life.

²² To some show pity, because they are in doubt. ‘Drag them out of the fire,’ and save them.

²³ To others show pity, but with caution, hating the clothing polluted by their touch.

²⁰ But you must, dear friends, build up your characters on the foundation of your most holy faith, pray under the guidance of the Holy Spirit,

²¹ and keep within the love of God, while waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, to bring you to eternal life.

²² To some show pity, because they are in doubt. ‘Drag them out of the fire,’ and save them.

²³ To others show pity, but with caution, hating the clothing polluted by their touch.

²⁰ But, my friends, I know you believe the message that comes from God himself. And you have to do everything that you can do to believe it more and more strongly. You have to help each other to believe this message. And you have to let God’s spirit show you how to pray.

²¹ Always remember that God loves you. You have to love him too. And you have to love other people. You have to love, like this, while we wait for our leader, Jesus Christ. He is very sorry for you and good to you, so he will let you live with him for ever.

²² Some people aren’t sure whether God’s message is true. You have to be good to those people. You have to try to help them.

²³ Some people are turning away from God and doing bad things. If they turn away and don’t come back to God, he will punish them in the fire. So you have to try to stop these people. Then you will save them, like you will pull them out of that fire. Some of them do a lot of bad things and they are in trouble. You have to try and help these people, but don’t be like them. Don’t get yourself into trouble. It is like they are wearing very dirty clothes, so you have to be careful and don’t touch those dirty clothes. Don’t get yourself dirty.

²⁰ But ye derlye beloved edyfie yovre selves in youre most holy fayth prayinge in the holy goost

²¹ and kepe youre selves in the love of God lokinge for the mercy of oure lorde Iesus Christ vnto eternall lyfe.

²² And have compassion on some separatynge them:

²³ and other save with feare pullinge them out of the fyre and hate the fylthy vesture of the flesshe.

²⁰ But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith, and pray in the Holy Spirit.

²¹ Keep yourselves in God's love, and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that brings you eternal life.

²² Be merciful to those who doubt.

²³ Save others by snatching them out of the fire. To others be merciful with fear. Hate even the garment stained by the flesh.

²⁰ But ye, most dear brethren, above build yourselves on your most holy faith, and pray ye in the Holy Ghost,

²¹ and keep yourselves in the love of God, and abide ye the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ into life ever-lasting.

²² And reprove ye these men that be deemed,

²³ but save ye them, and take ye or ravish them from the fire. And do ye mercy to other men, in the dread of God, and hate ye also that defouled coat, which is fleshly.

²⁰ But ye, most dear brethren, above build yourselves on your most holy faith, and pray ye in the Holy Ghost, (But ye, most dear brothers, build yourselves up in your most holy faith, and pray in the Holy Spirit,)

²¹ and keep yourselves in the love of God, and abide ye the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ into life everlasting. (and keep yourselves in the love of God, and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.)

²² And reprove ye these men that be deemed, (And rebuke those men who be judged,)

²³ but save ye them, and take ye (hold of) them or ravish them from the fire. And do ye mercy to other men, in the dread of God, and hate ye also that defouled coat, which is fleshly. (but also save them, yea, snatch them out of the fire. And do mercy to other men, in fearful reverence for God, and hate also that defiled coat, which is your flesh.)

²⁰ And ye, beloved, on your most holy faith building yourselves up, in the Holy Spirit praying,

²¹ yourselves in the love of God keep ye, waiting for the kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ — to life age-during;

²² and to some be kind, judging thoroughly,

²³ and some in fear save ye, out of the fire snatching, hating even the coat from the flesh spotted.
