John 7:1-9 in American Standard Version (1901)

1 And after these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Judæa, because the Jews sought to kill him.
2 Now the feast of the Jews, the feast of tabernacles, was at hand.
3 His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judæa, that thy disciples also may behold thy works which thou doest.
4 For no man doeth anything in secret, and himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou doest these things, manifest thyself to the world.
5 For even his brethren did not believe on him.
6 Jesus therefore saith unto them, My time is not yet come; but your time is always ready.
7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that its works are evil.
8 Go ye up unto the feast: I go not up unto this feast; because my time is not yet fulfilled.
9 And having said these things unto them, he abode still in Galilee.

John 7:1-9 in God's Living Word

1 After these things, Jesus walked in Galilee, for He didn’t want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him.
2 Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was near.
3 Therefore His brothers told Him, “Leave here and go to Judea, so that Your disciples will see the works that You are doing, too.
4 Nobody does anything in secret while he seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world.”
5 For even His brothers didn’t believe in Him.
6 Then Jesus told them, “My time hasn’t yet come, but your time is always right.
7 The world can’t hate you, but it hates me because I testify that its works are evil.
8 Go up to this feast yourselves. I’m not going up to this feast, yet, for my time hasn’t yet fully come.”
9 Having said these things to them, He stayed in Galilee.

John 7:1-9 in Translation for Translators

1 After those things happened, Jesus went around in Galilee province. He did not want to travel in Judea province, because he knew that the Jewish leaders there were wanting to kill him.
2 But when the time of the Jewish celebration called ❛Celebration of Living in Shelters❜ was near,
3 Jesus' younger brothers said to him, “ Since many people here have left you, you should leave and go to Judea province and perform some miracles there, so that your disciples may see them!
4 No one who wants to become famous does things secretly. You say you are doing these miracles, so do some miracles there so that everyone MTY can see them!”
5 They said this critically, because even though they were his own younger brothers, they did not believe he was from God.
6 So Jesus said to them, “It is not yet time for me MTY to go to the celebration. For you, any time is right to go to the celebration.
7 The people MTY who ◄ do not believe in me/do not belong to God► cannot hate you, but they hate me because I tell them that what they are doing is evil.
8 You (pl) go ahead to the celebration. I am not going up to Jerusalem to the celebration yet, because now is not the right time for me to go.”
9 After he said that, Jesus stayed a little longer in Galilee.

John 7:1-9 in Bible in Basic English

1 After this, Jesus went from place to place in Galilee. He did not go about in Judaea, because the Jews were looking for a chance to put him to death.
2 But the feast of the Jews, the feast of tents, was near.
3 So his brothers said to him, Go away from here into Judaea so that your disciples may see the works which you do.
4 Because no man does things secretly if he has a desire that men may have knowledge of him. If you do these things, let yourself be seen by all men.
5 For even his brothers had no belief in him.
6 Jesus said to them, My time is still to come, but any time is good for you.
7 It is not possible for you to be hated by the world; but I am hated by it, because I give witness that what it does is evil.
8 Go you up to the feast: I am not going up now to the feast because my time has not fully come.
9 Having said these things to them, he still kept in Galilee.

John 7:1-9 in The New Testament with Commentary

1 After these things Jesus continued to move about in Galilee, since He did not wish to move about in Judea because the Jews were wanting to kill Him.
2 Now the Jews' Feast of Tabernacles was near.
3 So His brothers said to Him: “Leave here and go up into Judea so your disciples also may see the works that you are doing,
4 because no one does anything in secret while he actually wants to be in evidence. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world!”
5 For not even His brothers were believing into Him.
6 So Jesus says to them: “My time is not here yet, but your time is always available.
7 The world cannot hate you, but does hate me, because I testify about it that its works are malignant.
8 You guys go up to this feast; I am not going up yet to this feast, because my time has not yet fully come.”
9 So upon saying these things to them He stayed on in Galilee.

John 7:1-9 in Free Bible Version

1 After this, Jesus spent his time going from place to place in Galilee. He did not want to do so in Judea because the Jews were out to kill him.
2 But as it was almost time for the Jewish festival of the Tabernacles,
3 his brothers told him, “You ought to leave and go to Judea so your followers will be able to see what miracles you can do.
4 No one who wants to be famous keeps what they do hidden. If you can do such miracles, then show yourself to the world!”
5 For even his own brothers really didn't believe in him.
6 Jesus told them, “This is not my time to go, not yet; but you can go whenever you want, for any time's the right time for you.
7 The world has no reason to hate you, but it does hate me, because I make it clear that its ways are evil.
8 You go on to the festival. I'm not going to this festival because this is not the right time for me, not yet.”
9 After saying this he stayed behind in Galilee.

John 7 in Wycliffe Bible

John 7:1-9 in Young's Literal Translation

1 And Jesus was walking after these things in Galilee, for he did not wish to walk in Judea, because the Jews were seeking to kill him,
2 and the feast of the Jews was nigh — that of tabernacles —
3 his brethren, therefore, said unto him, 'Remove hence, and go away to Judea, that thy disciples also may behold thy works that thou dost;
4 for no one in secret doth anything, and himself seeketh to be in public; if thou dost these things — manifest thyself to the world;'
5 for not even were his brethren believing in him.
6 Jesus, therefore, saith to them, 'My time is not yet present, but your time is always ready;
7 the world is not able to hate you, but me it doth hate, because I testify concerning it that its works are evil.
8 Ye — go ye up to this feast; I do not yet go up to this feast, because my time hath not yet been fulfilled;'
9 and saying these things to them, he remained in Galilee.
