John 6:68-71 in English

⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

⁶⁹ And we have believed and know that thou art the Holy One of God.

⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, Did not I choose you the twelve, and one of you is a devil?

⁷¹ Now he spake of Judas the son of Simon Iscariot, for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.

⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, who will we go to? You have words of eternal life.

⁶⁹ We have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

⁷⁰ Jesus answered, “Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, yet one of you is a slanderer?”

⁷¹ He was speaking of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, for he, one of the twelve, was going to betray him.

⁶⁸ Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

⁶⁹ And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.

⁶⁹ We have come to believe for certain that you are the holy one who has come from God!”

⁷⁰ Then Jesus replied to us, “ You are saying that as though all you twelve men whom I have chosen RHQ believe that. But one of you is under the control of Satan!”

⁷¹ He was talking about Judas, the son of Simon, from Kerioth village. Even though Judas was one of us twelve apostles, he was about ◄to betray Jesus/to enable Jesus' enemies to seize him►.

⁶⁸ So Simon Peter answered Him: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.

⁶⁹ Further, we have come to believe and to know that you are the Christ, the Son of the Living God!”

⁷⁰ He said to them: “Did I myself not choose you twelve? Yet one of you is a devil.”

⁷¹ He was referring to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve.

⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered, “Lord, who would we follow? You're the one who has the words of eternal life.

⁶⁹ We trust in you, and we're convinced that you are God's Holy One.”

⁷⁰ Jesus replied, “Didn't I choose you, the twelve disciples? Yet one of you is a devil.”

⁷¹ (Jesus was referring to Judas, son of Simon Iscariot. He was the one of the twelve disciples who would betray Jesus.)

⁶⁸ Then Simon Peter answered him, Master, to whome shall we goe? thou hast the wordes of eternall life:

⁶⁹ And we beleeue and knowe that thou art that Christ that Sonne of the liuing God.

⁷⁰ Iesus answered them, Haue not I chosen you twelue, and one of you is a deuill?

⁷¹ Now he spake it of Iudas Iscariot the sonne of Simon: for hee it was that shoulde betraie him, though he was one of the twelue.

⁷⁰ Therefore Jesus answered to them, Whether I chose not you twelve, and one of you is a fiend? (or and yet one of you is a devil?)

⁷¹ And he said this of Judas of Simon Iscariot, for this was to betray him, when he was one of the twelve.

⁶⁸ Therfor Jhesus seide to the twelue, Whether ye wolen also go awei?

⁶⁹ And Symount Petre answeride to hym, Lord, to whom schulen we gon? Thou hast wordis of euerlastynge lijf;

⁷⁰ and we bileuen, and han knowun, that thou art Crist, the sone of God.

⁷¹ Therfor Jhesus answerde to hem, Whether Y chees not you twelue, and oon of you is a feend? And he seide this of Judas of Symount Scarioth, for this was to bitraye hym, whanne he was oon of the twelue.

⁶⁸ Simon Peter, therefore, answered him, 'Sir, unto whom shall we go? thou hast sayings of life age-during;

⁶⁹ and we have believed, and we have known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.'

⁷⁰ Jesus answered them, 'Did not I choose you — the twelve? and of you — one is a devil.
