John 9:21-24 in English

²¹ but how he now seeth, we know not; or who opened his eyes, we know not: ask him; he is of age; he shall speak for himself.

²² These things said his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man should confess him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

²³ Therefore said his parents, He is of age; ask him.

²⁴ So they called a second time the man that was blind, and said unto him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is a sinner.

²¹ but how he now sees, we don’t know. Who opened his eyes, we don’t know. Ask him. He is of age. He will speak for himself.”

²² His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone would confess that Jesus was the Christ, they would be put out of the synagogue.

²³ For this reason, his parents said, “Ask him. He is of age.”

²⁴ So they called the man who had been blind a second time, and told him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

²¹ But by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

²² These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

²¹ But we do not know how he is able to see now. We also do not know who enabled him to see. Ask our son! He is old enough to answer questions from authorities like you He can tell you himself!”

²² The Jewish leaders SYN had previously declared that they would prevent anyone who declared that Jesus was the Messiah from entering their synagogues. His parents knew that, so they were afraid of the Jewish leaders SYN.

²³ That is the reason that they said, “He is old enough to answer questions, so ask him!”

²⁴ So they sent someone to bring back to them the man who had been blind. When he got there, the Jewish leaders said to him, “Knowing that God is listening IDM, tell the truth! We know that the man who healed you is a sinner.”

²¹ but how he now sees, we don’t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”

²² His parents said these things because they feared the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Christ, he would be put out of the synagogue.

²³ Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”

²⁴ So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

²² They said this because of their fear of the Jews: for the Jews had come to an agreement that if any man said that Jesus was the Christ he would be put out of the Synagogue.

²³ That was the reason why they said, He is old enough; put the question to him.

²⁴ So they sent a second time for the man who had been blind and they said to him, Give glory to God: it is clear to us that this man is a sinner.

²¹ but how he now sees we do not know, or who has opened his eyes we do not know. He is of age: ask him; he will speak concerning himself.

²² His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if any one confessed him to be the Christ, he should be excommunicated from the synagogue.

²³ On this account his parents said, He is of age: ask him.

²⁴ They called therefore a second time the man who had been blind, and said to him, Give glory to God: we know that this man is sinful.

²¹ But how he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: ask himself: he is of age, let him speak for himself.

²² These things his parents said, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had already agreed among themselves, that if any man should confess him to be Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

²³ Therefore did his parents say: He is of age, ask himself.

²⁴ They therefore called the man again that had been blind, and said to him: Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.

²¹ but how he now sees we do not know, or who opened his eyes we do not know. He is of age; ask him. He will speak for himself.”

²² These things his parents said because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had agreed already that if anyone should confess that He was Christ, he would be excommunicated.

²³ On account of this his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”

²⁴ Therefore they called a second time the man who was blind, and said to him, “Give glory to God! We know that this Man is a sinner.”

²¹ but by what means he now sees we don't know, or who opened his eyes we don't know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”

²² His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, because the Jews had already agreed that if anyone confessed Him to be Christ he would be barred from the synagogue.

²³ That is why his parents said, “He is of age; ask him.”

²⁴ So they summoned the man who had been blind a second time and said to him: “Give glory to God! We know that this man is a sinner.”

²¹ But we've no idea how he can see now, or who healed him. Why don't you ask him, he's old enough. He can speak for himself.”

²² The reason his parents said this was because they were afraid of what the Jewish leaders would do. The Jewish leaders had already announced that anyone who declared that Jesus was the Messiah would be thrown out of the synagogue.

²³ That was why his parents said, “Ask him, he's old enough.”

²⁴ Once more they called in the man who had been blind, and told him, “Give God the glory! We know this man is a sinner.”

²¹ But by what meanes hee nowe seeth, we know not: or who hath opened his eyes, can we not tell: he is olde ynough: aske him: hee shall answere for himselfe.

²² These wordes spake his parents, because they feared the Iewes: for the Iewes had ordeined already, that if any man did confesse that he was Christ, he should be excommunicate out of the Synagogue.

²³ Therefore sayde his parents, Hee is olde ynough: aske him.

²⁴ Then againe called they the man that had bene blinde, and sayd vnto him, Giue glory vnto God: we know that this man is a sinner.

²¹ but by what means he now seeth, we know not; or who hath opened his eyes, we know not: he is of age; ask him: he shall speak for himself.

²² These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

²² His parents spoke in this way because they were afraid of the authorities; for the authorities had already agreed that, if anyone should acknowledge Jesus as the Christ, he should be expelled from their synagogues.

²³ This was why his parents said ‘He is old enough; ask him.’

²⁴ So the authorities again called the man who had been blind, and said to him, “Give God the praise; we know that this is a bad man.”

²¹ but how it is that he can see now we do not know; nor do we know who it was that gave him his sight. Ask him — he is old enough — he will tell you about himself.”

²² His parents spoke in this way because they were afraid of the authorities; for the authorities had already agreed that, if anyone should acknowledge Jesus as the Christ, he should be expelled from their synagogues.

²³ This was why his parents said ‘He is old enough; ask him.’

²⁴ So the authorities again called the man who had been blind, and said to him, “Give God the praise; we know that this is a bad man.”

²¹ but how he now sees, we don’t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”

²² His parents said these things because they feared the Jews Praisers; for the Jews Praisers had already agreed that if any man would confess him as Messiah Anointed one, he would be put out of the synagogue.

²³ Therefore his parents said, “He is of age. Ask him.”

²⁴ So they called the man who was blind a second time, and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

²¹ but by what meanes he now seith that can we not tell or who hath opened his eyes can we not tell. He is olde ynough axe him let him answer for him selfe.

²² Suche wordes spake his father and mother because they feared the Iewes. For the Iewes had conspyred all redy that yf eny man dyd confesse that he was Christ he shuld be excommunicat out of the synagoge.

²³ Therfore sayde his father and mother: he is olde ynough axe him.

²⁴ Then agayne called they the man that was blynde and sayd vnto him: Geve God the prayse: we knowe that this man is a synner.

²¹ How he now sees, we do not know, and who opened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him, he is an adult. He can speak for himself.”

²² His parents said these things, because they were afraid of the Jews. For the Jews had already agreed that if anyone would confess him to be the Christ, he would be thrown out of the synagogue.

²³ Because of this, his parents said, “He is an adult, ask him.”

²⁴ So for a second time they called the man who had been blind and said to him, “Give glory to God. We know that this man is a sinner.”

²¹ but how he now sees, we don’t know; or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. He is of age. Ask him. He will speak for himself.”

²² His father and mother said these things, for they dreaded the Jews; for then the Jews had conspired, that if any man acknowledged him (as) Christ, he should be done out of the synagogue. (His father and mother said these things, for they feared the Jews; for then the Jews had conspired together, that if anyone acknowledged him as the Messiah, they would be put out of the synagogue.)

²³ Therefore his father and mother said, That he hath age, ask ye him. (And so his father and mother said, He is old enough, you ask him.)

²⁴ Therefore again they called the man, that was blind, and said to him, Give thou glory to God; we know, that this man is a sinner.

²¹ but hou he seeth now, we witen neuer, or who openyde hise iyen, we witen nere; axe ye hym, he hath age, speke he of hym silf.

²² His fader and modir seiden these thingis, for thei dredden the Jewis; for thanne the Jewis hadden conspirid, that if ony man knoulechide hym Crist, he schulde be don out of the synagoge.

²³ Therfor his fadir and modir seiden, That he hath age, axe ye hym.

²⁴ Therfor eftsoone thei clepiden the man, that was blynd, and seiden to hym, Yyue thou glorie to God; we witen, that this man is a synnere.

²¹ and how he now seeth, we have not known; or who opened his eyes, we have not known; himself is of age, ask him; he himself shall speak concerning himself.'

²² These things said his parents, because they were afraid of the Jews, for already had the Jews agreed together, that if any one may confess him — Christ, he may be put out of the synagogue;

²³ because of this his parents said — 'He is of age, ask him.'

²⁴ They called, therefore, a second time the man who was blind, and they said to him, 'Give glory to God, we have known that this man is a sinner;'
