⁵⁴ Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father that glorifieth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God;

⁵⁵ and ye have not known him: but I know him; and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be like unto you, a liar: but I know him, and keep his word.

⁵⁶ Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; and he saw it, and was glad.

⁵⁷ The Jews therefore said unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?

⁵⁸ Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was born, I am.

⁵⁹ They took up stones therefore to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, “If I honor myself, my honor is nothing. It’s my Father, who you say is your God, who honors me.

⁵⁵ Yet you haven’t come to know Him, but I know Him. If I said, ‘I don’t know Him,’ I would be a liar like you, but I do know Him and keep His word.

⁵⁶ Your forefather Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day, and he saw it and was glad.”

⁵⁷ Then the Jews said to Him, “You aren’t yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?”

⁵⁸ Jesus told them, “Most assuredly, I tell you, before Abraham was, I AM.”

⁵⁹ Then they took up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus hid Himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God:

⁵⁵ Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying.

⁵⁴ Jesus replied, “If I were honoring myself, that would be worthless. My Father is the one who you say is your God. He is the one who honors me.

⁵⁵ Although you do not know him, I know him and have a close relationship with him. If I said that I did not know him, I would be a liar like you are. But I know him, and I obey what he says.

⁵⁶ Your ancestor Abraham was happy when he thought about what I would do during my life MTY. It was as though he saw that, and was happy.”

⁵⁷ Then the Jewish leaders SYN said to him, “You are not fifty years old yet! So ◄you certainly did not see him!/how could you have seen him?► RHQ Because he died long ago!”

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, “The truth is that I existed before Abraham was born!”

⁵⁹ So, because they were very angry about Jesus thus saying that he ◄ had eternally existed/was equal with God►, they picked up stones to throw at him to kill him. But Jesus caused them not to be able to see him, and he left the Temple courtyard.

⁵⁵ You have no knowledge of him, but I have knowledge of him; and if I said I have no knowledge of him I would be talking falsely like you: but I have full knowledge of him, and I keep his word.

⁵⁶ Your father Abraham was full of joy at the hope of seeing my day: he saw it and was glad.

⁵⁷ Then the Jews said to him, You are not fifty years old; have you seen Abraham?

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, Truly I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I am.

⁵⁹ So they took up stones to send at him: but Jesus got secretly out of their way and went out of the Temple.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing: it is my Father who glorifies me, of whom ye say, He is our God.

⁵⁵ And ye know him not; but I know him; and if I said, I know him not, I should be like you, a liar. But I know him, and I keep his word.

⁵⁶ Your father Abraham exulted in that he should see my day, and he saw and rejoiced.

⁵⁷ The Jews therefore said to him, Thou hast not yet fifty years, and hast thou seen Abraham?

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

⁵⁹ They took up therefore stones that they might cast them at him; but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and thus passed on.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing. It is My Father who glorifies Me, of whom you say that He is our God.

⁵⁵ And yet you have not known Him, but I know Him. And if I would say that I do not know Him, I would be like you, a liar; but I do know Him, and I keep His word.

⁵⁵ Yet you have not known Him, but I do know Him. And if I should say that I do not know Him I would be a liar just like you (pl); but I do know Him and I keep His word.

⁵⁶ Your father Abraham was overjoyed to see my day; yes, he saw it and rejoiced.”

⁵⁷ So the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and you have seen Abraham?!”

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly I say to you, before Abraham came to be, I AM!”

⁵⁹ Then they picked up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus was concealed and went out of the temple, going through the middle of them; yes, that is how He got away!

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, “If I glorify myself, my glory means nothing. But it is God himself who glorifies me, the one you claim, ‘He is our God.’

⁵⁵ You don't know him, but I know him. If I were to say, ‘I don't know him,’ I'd be a liar, just like you. But I do know him, and I do what he says.

⁵⁶ Your father Abraham was delighted as he looked forward to see my coming, and was so happy when he saw it.”

⁵⁷ The Jews replied, “You're not even fifty years old, and you've seen Abraham?”

⁵⁸ “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was born, I am,” said Jesus.

⁵⁹ At this they picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus was hidden from them and he left the Temple.

⁵⁴ Iesus answered, If I honour my selfe, mine honour is nothing worth: it is my Father that honoureth me, whome ye say, that hee is your God.

⁵⁵ Yet ye haue not knowen him: but I knowe him, and if I should say I know him not, I should be a liar like vnto you: but I knowe him, and keepe his worde.

⁵⁶ Your father Abraham reioyced to see my day, and he sawe it, and was glad.

⁵⁷ Then sayd ye Iewes vnto him, Thou art not yet fiftie yeere olde, and hast thou seene Abraham?

⁵⁸ Iesus sayd vnto them, Verely, verely I say vnto you, before Abraham was, I am.

⁵⁹ Then tooke they vp stones, to cast at him, but Iesus hid himselfe, and went out of the Temple: And hee passed through the middes of them, and so went his way.

⁵⁷ The Jews Praisers therefore said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham Father of a multitude?”

⁵⁸ Yeshua Salvation said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, before Abraham Father of a multitude came into existence, Ena Na I AM (the Living God).”

⁵⁹ Therefore they took up stones to throw at him, but Yeshua Salvation was hidden, and went out of the temple, having gone through the middle of them, and so passed by.

⁵⁴ Jesus answered, If I glorify myself, my glory is nought, (or then my glory, or my boasting, is nothing); my Father is, that glorifieth me, whom ye say, that he is your God.

⁵⁵ And ye have not known him, but I have known him; and if I say that I know him not, I shall be a liar like to you; but I know him, and I keep his word(s), (or and I obey his words).

⁵⁶ Abraham, your father, gladded or full out joyed to see my day; and he saw (it), and joyed. (Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day; yea, he saw it, and rejoiced.)

⁵⁷ Then the Jews said to him, Thou hast not yet fifty years, and hast thou seen Abraham?

⁵⁸ Therefore Jesus said to them, Truly, truly I say to you, (or Truly, I tell you the truth), before that Abraham should be, I am, or before that Abraham was made, I am.

⁵⁹ Therefore they took stones, to cast to him (or to throw at him); but Jesus hid him(self), and went out of the temple.

⁵⁴ Jhesus answeride, If Y glorifie my silf, my glorie is nouyt; my fadir, is that glorifieth me, whom ye seien, that he is youre God.

⁵⁵ And ye han not knowun hym, but Y haue knowun hym; and if Y seie that Y knowe hym not, Y schal be a liere lich to you; but Y knowe hym, and Y kepe his word.

⁵⁶ Abraham, youre fadir, gladide to se my dai; and he saiy, and ioyede.

⁵⁷ Thanne the Jewis seiden to hym, Thou hast not yit fifti yeer, and hast thou seien Abraham?

⁵⁸ Therfor Jhesus seide to hem, Treuli, treuli, Y seie to you, bifor that Abraham schulde be, Y am.

⁵⁹ Therfor thei token stonys, to caste to hym; but Jhesus hidde hym, and wente out of the temple.

⁵⁵ and ye have not known Him, and I have known Him, and if I say that I have not known Him, I shall be like you — speaking falsely; but I have known Him, and His word I keep;

⁵⁶ Abraham, your father, was glad that he might see my day; and he saw, and did rejoice.'

⁵⁷ The Jews, therefore, said unto him, 'Thou art not yet fifty years old, and Abraham hast thou seen?'

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, 'Verily, verily, I say to you, Before Abraham's coming — I am;'

⁵⁹ they took up, therefore, stones that they may cast at him, but Jesus hid himself, and went forth out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.
