John 3:15-34 in American Standard Version (1901)

15 that whosoever believeth may in him have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
17 For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.
18 He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, lest his works should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, that they have been wrought in God.
22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judæa; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 And John also was baptizing in Ænon near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
24 For John was not yet cast into prison.
25 There arose therefore a questioning on the part of John’s disciples with a Jew about purifying.
26 And they came unto John, and said to him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou hast borne witness, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it have been given him from heaven.
28 Ye yourselves bear me witness, that I said, I am not the Christ, but, that I am sent before him.
29 He that hath the bride is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, that standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice: this my joy therefore is made full.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is of the earth, and of the earth he speaketh: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32 What he hath seen and heard, of that he beareth witness; and no man receiveth his witness.
33 He that hath received his witness hath set his seal to this, that God is true.
34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for he giveth not the Spirit by measure.

John 3:15-34 in God's Living Word

15 that everyone who believes in Him should not die, but have eternal life.
16 For God so sincerely loved the world that He gave His only born Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God didn’t send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.
18 Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever doesn’t believe is condemned already because that person has not believed in the name of God’s only Son.
19 This is the condemnation, that light has come into the world, but people sincerely loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 Everyone who practices evil hates the light, and doesn’t come to the light, for fear that their deeds will be exposed.
21 Whoever practices the truth comes to the light to show clearly that their deeds have been done with God.”
22 After this, Jesus and His disciples went out into the countryside of Judea, where He remained with them, and baptized.
23 John was also baptizing at Aenon, near Salim, because there was plenty of water there, and people kept coming to be baptized.
24 John had not yet been thrown into prison.
25 There were some questions between some of John’s disciples and the Jews about purification.
26 They came to John and told him, “Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan, that you have testified about — look, He is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to Him!”
27 John replied, “A man can receive nothing, unless it’s given to him from Heaven.
28 You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I’m not the Christ, but I have been sent ahead of Him.’
29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and rejoices when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. This joy of mine is now made complete.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 “He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the Earth belongs to the Earth and speaks of the Earth. He who comes from Heaven is above all.
32 He testifies about what He has seen and heard, but no one accepts His testimony.
33 The man who has accepted His testimony has certified that God is truthful.
34 The one that God has sent speaks God’s words, for God gives the Spirit without measure.

John 3:15-34 in Translation for Translators

15 As a result, everyone who believes/trusts in me will have eternal life.”
16 God loved us people MTY in the world so much that he gave his only Son as a sacrifice for us, in order that everyone who believes in him would not be separated from God forever. Instead, they would have eternal life.
17 When God sent his Son into the world, his purpose was not to punish the people in MTY the world for their sins. Instead, he sent him in order that they might be saved by him {he might save them} from being ◄ guilty/punished► for their sins.
18 Everyone who trusts in his Son, God says that they will not be punished {that he will not punish them}. But God has already said that everyone who does not trust in his Son will be punished {that he will punish everyone who does not trust in his Son}, because they have not trusted in what his only Son has done for them.
19 The one who was like a light MET to reveal God's truth to us came into the world. But people loved doing what was evil, like darkness MET is evil, instead of loving the one who was like a light. That is the reason God will judge people and condemn them.
20 Everyone who does what is evil hates the one who is like a light, and they will not come to the one who is like a light, because it would be shown { the one who is like a light would show} that their deeds are evil, and he would rebuke them.
21 But those who live according to God's truth come to the one who is like a light, in order that it may be seen clearly {that people may see clearly} that the things they have done, they did them because they have depended on God.
22 Some time later Jesus and we disciples went to Judea district. He stayed with us there and directed us as we baptized people.
23 John the Baptizer was also baptizing people. He was doing that at Aenon village near Salim town in Samaria district, because there were many springs in that area. Many people kept coming to John and were being baptized {he was baptizing them}.
24 That happened before John was put {they put John} in prison.
25 Then some of John's disciples and a certain Jew started arguing about the Jewish rituals of washing things to make them acceptable to God.
26 Then those disciples went to John and said to him, “Teacher, do you remember the man who was with you when you were baptizing people on the other side of the Jordan River? He is the one you were telling us about. Well, now he is baptizing people, and many people are going to him instead of coming to us!”
27 John replied, “A person can become important only if God MTY permits it. So we should not be jealous about Jesus being popular!
28 You yourselves can verify what I said. I told you that I am not ◄the Messiah/God's promised king►. Instead, I told you that I was sent {that God sent me} to prepare the way for him.
29 Let me illustrate MET: He is like a ◄ bridegroom/man who is being married►, and I am like his friend. The friend of the bridegroom stands there and waits for him to come. That friend is very happy when he hears the bridegroom's voice when he arrives. Similarly, I am very happy about what you have told me.
30 It is necessary for Jesus to become more important by making more disciples than I have, and for me to become less important.”
31 Jesus came from heaven. He is more important than anyone else. Those who are born from parents here on earth MTY are just humans, and they speak about things that happen here on the earth. But since Jesus came from heaven, his words are more important than anyone else's.
32 He tells people what he has seen and what he heard in heaven, but very few people HYP listen to what he says.
33 Those who have accepted what he has said verify that what God has said is true.
34 We know it is true because Jesus, the one God sent, speaks the message of God. That is also true because God causes his Spirit to live in Jesus to completely direct everything he says and does.

John 3:15-34 in Bible in Basic English

15 So that whoever has faith may have in him eternal life.
16 For God had such love for the world that he gave his only Son, so that whoever has faith in him may not come to destruction but have eternal life.
17 God did not send his Son into the world to be judge of the world; he sent him so that the world might have salvation through him.
18 The man who has faith in him does not come up to be judged; but he who has no faith in him has been judged even now, because he has no faith in the name of the only Son of God.
19 And this is the test by which men are judged: the light has come into the world and men have more love for the dark than for the light, because their acts are evil.
20 The light is hated by everyone whose acts are evil and he does not come to the light for fear that his acts will be seen.
21 But he whose life is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his acts have been done by the help of God.
22 After these things Jesus and his disciples went into the land of Judaea, and there he was with them for some time, giving baptism.
23 Now John was then giving baptism at Aenon near Salim, because there was much water there; and people came and were given baptism.

26 And they went to John and said to him, Rabbi, the man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan, the man to whom you gave witness, is now giving baptism, and everyone is going to him.
27 And this was John's answer: A man is unable to have anything if it is not given to him from heaven.
28 You yourselves give witness that I said, I am not the Christ. What I said was, I am sent before the Christ.
29 He who has the bride is the husband: but the husband's friend, whose place is by his side and whose ears are open to him, is full of joy because of the husband's voice: such is my joy, and it is complete.
30 He has to become greater while I become less.
31 He who comes from heaven is greater than all others: he who comes from earth is of the earth, and of the earth are his words: he who comes from heaven is over all.
32 He gives witness of what he has seen and of what has come to his ears; and no man takes his witness as true.
33 He who so takes his witness has made clear his faith that God is true.
34 For he whom God has sent says God's words; and God does not give him the Spirit by measure.

17 For God has not sent his Son into the world that he may judge the world, but that the world may be saved through him.
18 He that believes on him is not judged: but he that believes not has been already judged, because he has not believed on the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the judgment, that light is come into the world, and men have loved darkness rather than light; for their works were evil.
20 For every one that does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light that his works may not be shewn as they are;
21 but he that practises the truth comes to the light, that his works may be manifested that they have been wrought in God.
22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he abode with them and baptised.

15 That whosoever believeth in him, may not perish; but may have life everlasting.
16 For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world, to judge the world, but that the world may be saved by him.
18 He that believeth in him is not judged. But he that doth not believe, is already judged: because he believeth not in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 And this is the judgment: because the light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than the light: for their works were evil.
20 For every one that doth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the light, that his works may not be reproved.
21 But he that doth truth, cometh to the light, that his works may be made manifest, because they are done in God.

15 so that everyone who believes into Him should not be wasted, but should have eternal life.
16 Because God loved the world so much that He gave His only begotten Son, so that everyone who believes into Him should not be wasted, but should have eternal life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world in order to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him.

19 “Now this is the basis for the condemning, that the Light has come into the world, but the people loved the darkness rather than the Light, because their deeds were malignant.
20 For whoever practices evil hates the Light and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds may not be exposed.
21 But whoever does the truth comes to the Light so that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they are done in God.”
22 After these things Jesus, with His disciples, went into the Judean countryside, and there He spent time with them and baptized.
23 Now John also was baptizing in Aenon, near Salem, because there was plenty of water there. And people were coming and being baptized;
24 for John had not yet been thrown into prison.
25 Then some of John's disciples had an argument with a Judean about purification.
26 So they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, the One who was with you across the Jordan, about whom you have testified—well, here He is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to Him!”
27 John answered and said: “A person can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from Heaven.
28 You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Christ, but I have been sent ahead of Him.’
29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands by and hears him, has great joy at the bridegroom's voice. So this my joy has been fulfilled.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 “He who comes from Above is above all; he who is from the earth is earthly, and speaks of the earth. He who comes from Heaven is above all.
32 And to what He has seen and heard He testifies, yet no one receives His testimony.
33 The one who receives His testimony certifies that God is true.
34 For He whom God sent speaks God's words, because God does not give the Spirit by measure.

John 3:15-34 in Free Bible Version

15 that everyone who trusts in him will have eternal life.
16 For God loved the world, and this is how: he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who trusts in him shouldn't die, but have eternal life.
17 God didn't send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
18 Those who trust in him are not condemned, while those who don't trust in him are condemned already because they didn't trust in the one and only Son of God.
19 This is how the decision is made: the light came to the world, but people loved the darkness rather than the light, for their actions were evil.
20 All those who do evil hate the light and don't come into the light, because they don't want their actions to be exposed.
21 But those who do good come into the light, so that what God accomplishes in them can be revealed.”
22 After this Jesus and his disciples went into Judea and spent some time with the people, baptizing them.
23 John was also baptizing at Aenon near Salim, because there was plenty of water there and people kept coming to be baptized.
24 (This was before John was imprisoned.)
25 An argument developed between John's disciples and a Jew over ceremonial purification.
26 They went to John and told him, “Rabbi, the man you were with on the other side of the Jordan River, the one you testified in support of—see, now he's baptizing, and everyone is going to him!”
27 “No one receives anything unless they're given it from heaven,” John replied.
28 “You yourselves can testify that I declared, ‘I'm not the Messiah. I've been sent to prepare his way.’
29 The bridegroom is the one who has the bride! The best man waits, listening for the bridegroom, and is so happy when he hears the bridegroom's voice—in the same way my happiness is now complete.
30 He must become more important, and I must become less important.”
31 He who comes from above is greater than all; he who comes from the earth belongs to the earth and talks about earthly things. He who comes from heaven is greater than all.
32 He gives evidence about what he has seen and heard, but no one accepts what he has to say.
33 Yet anyone who accepts what he says confirms that God is truthful.
34 For the one God sent speaks God's words, because God doesn't restrict the Spirit.

John 3:15-34 in Nyangumarta English Bible

16 Human beings are very much in God's feelings. Because of that he gave his very own male child for them, so that the ones who habitually believe in him should not become worthless dregs, but should live for ever in his camp.
17 He did not send his son here for what's-it, to banish them from his presence for ever. He sent him for us, to rescue everybody!
18 Whoever believes in God's Son, he will not send him away. Everyone who does not believe in that sort of way stays in a really bad way forever, because they reject God's very own son.
19 This is how it works: The Light of God has come to us, BUT / in contrast, opposite of what one would expect but men love darkness, they want to do evil.
20 Evil-doers hate the Light of God, they do not come to the Light of God, because of shame about the bad things they have done.
21 Everyone who habitually does good will come to the light of God, and others will see how God is working in and through them.

21 But he that doeth truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.
23 And John also was baptizing in Enon, near to Salim, because there was much water there: and they came, and were baptized.
24 For John was not yet cast into prison.
25 Then there arose a question between some of John's disciples and the Jews, about purifying.
26 And they came to John, and said to him, Rabbi, he that was with thee beyond Jordan, to whom thou didst bear testimony, behold, the same baptizeth, and all men come to him.
27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.
28 Ye yourselves bear me testimony, that I said I am not the Christ, but that I am sent before him.
29 He that hath the bride, is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly, because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
30 He must increase, but I must decrease.
31 He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.
32 And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.
33 He that hath received his testimony, hath set to his seal that God is true.
34 For he whom God hath sent, speaketh the words of God: for to him God giveth not the Spirit by measure.

Yochanan 3:15-34 in World Messianic Bible

15 that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
17 For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only born Son of God.
19 This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil.
20 For everyone who does evil hates the light and doesn’t come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.
21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God.”
22 After these things, Yeshua came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them and immersed.
23 Yochanan also was immersing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came and were immersed;
24 for Yochanan was not yet thrown into prison.
25 Therefore a dispute arose on the part of Yochanan’s disciples with some Judeans about purification.
26 They came to Yochanan and said to him, “Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, he immerses, and everyone is coming to him.”
27 Yochanan answered, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given him from heaven.
28 You yourselves testify that I said, ‘I am not the Messiah,’ but, ‘I have been sent before him.’
29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice. Therefore my joy is made full.

32 What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.

16 For God louede so the world, that he yaf his `oon bigetun sone, that ech man that bileueth in him perische not, but haue euerlastynge lijf.
17 For God sente not his sone in to the world, that he iuge the world, but that the world be saued bi him.
18 He that bileueth in hym, is not demed; but he that bileueth not, is now demed, for he bileueth not in the name of the `oon bigetun sone of God.
19 And this is the dom, for liyt cam in to the world, and men loueden more derknessis than liyt; for her werkes weren yuele.
20 For ech man that doith yuele, hatith the liyt; and he cometh not to the liyt, that hise werkis be not repreued.

22 Aftir these thingis Jhesus cam, and hise disciplis, in to the loond of Judee, and there he dwellide with hem, and baptiside.

John 3:15-34 in Young's Literal Translation

15 that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during,
16 for God did so love the world, that His Son — the only begotten — He gave, that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during.
17 For God did not send His Son to the world that he may judge the world, but that the world may be saved through him;
18 he who is believing in him is not judged, but he who is not believing hath been judged already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 'And this is the judgment, that the light hath come to the world, and men did love the darkness rather than the light, for their works were evil;
20 for every one who is doing wicked things hateth the light, and doth not come unto the light, that his works may not be detected;
21 but he who is doing the truth doth come to the light, that his works may be manifested, that in God they are having been wrought.'
22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples to the land of Judea, and there he did tarry with them, and was baptizing;
23 and John was also baptizing in Aenon, nigh to Salem, because there were many waters there, and they were coming and were being baptized —

26 and they came unto John, and said to him, 'Rabbi, he who was with thee beyond the Jordan, to whom thou didst testify, lo, this one is baptizing, and all are coming unto him.'
27 John answered and said, 'A man is not able to receive anything, if it may not have been given him from the heaven;
28 ye yourselves do testify to me that I said, I am not the Christ, but, that I am having been sent before him;
29 he who is having the bride is bridegroom, and the friend of the bridegroom, who is standing and hearing him, with joy doth rejoice because of the voice of the bridegroom; this, then, my joy hath been fulfilled.
30 'Him it behoveth to increase, and me to become less;
31 he who from above is coming is above all; he who is from the earth, from the earth he is, and from the earth he speaketh; he who from the heaven is coming is above all.
32 'And what he hath seen and heard this he doth testify, and his testimony none receiveth;
33 he who is receiving his testimony did seal that God is true;
34 for he whom God sent, the sayings of God he speaketh; for not by measure doth God give the Spirit;
