John 1:41-46 in English

⁴¹ He findeth first his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messiah (which is, being interpreted, Christ).

⁴² He brought him unto Jesus. Jesus looked upon him, and said, Thou art Simon the son of John: thou shalt be called Cephas (which is by interpretation, Peter).

⁴³ On the morrow he was minded to go forth into Galilee, and he findeth Philip: and Jesus saith unto him, Follow me.

⁴⁴ Now Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter.

⁴⁵ Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

⁴⁶ And Nathanael said unto him, Can any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.

⁴¹ The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother, Simon, and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, translated, the Christ).

⁴² Andrew brought Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked at him, and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You will be called Cephas” (which is translated Peter).

⁴³ The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. Finding Philip, he told him, “Follow me.”

⁴⁴ Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.

⁴⁵ Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found Him who Moses in the Law, and also the prophets, wrote about — Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

⁴⁶ Nathanael asked Philip, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip told Nathanael, “Come and see.”

⁴² And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

⁴¹ After Andrew left Jesus, the first thing he did was to find his own older brother Simon and say to him, “We have found the Messiah!”

⁴² Then he took Simon to Jesus. Jesus looked intently at him, and then said, “You are Simon. Your father's name is John. You will be given { I will give you} the name Cephas.” Cephas is an Aramaic name that means ❛solid rock❜. It means the same in Greek as the name Peter.

⁴³ The next day Jesus decided to leave the Jordan River valley. He went to Galilee district and (OR, on the way there he) found a man named Philip. Jesus said to him, “Come with me!”

⁴⁴ Philip and Andrew and Peter were all from Bethsaida town.

⁴⁵ Then Philip searched for Nathaniel and found him, and said to him, “We have met the Messiah, the one Moses wrote about! The prophets also prophesied that he would come. He is Jesus, from Nazareth town. His father's name is Joseph.”

⁴⁶ Nathaniel replied, “Nazareth? ◄Nothing good can come from such an unimportant place!/Can anything good come from such an unimportant place?► RHQ” Philip replied, “Come and see!”

⁴² And he took him to Jesus. Looking at him fixedly Jesus said, You are Simon, the son of John; your name will be Cephas (which is to say, Peter).

⁴³ The day after this, Jesus had a desire to go into Galilee. He came across Philip and said to him, Come and be my disciple.

⁴⁴ Now Philip's town was Beth-saida, where Andrew and Peter came from.

⁴⁵ Philip came across Nathanael and said to him, We have made a discovery! It is he of whom Moses, in the law, and the prophets were writing, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

⁴⁶ Nazareth! said Nathanael, Is it possible for any good to come out of Nazareth? Philip said to him, Come and see.

⁴¹ He first finds his own brother Simon, and says to him, We have found the Messias (which being interpreted is Christ).

⁴² And he led him to Jesus. Jesus looking at him said, Thou art Simon, the son of Jonas; thou shalt be called Cephas (which interpreted is stone).

⁴³ On the morrow he would go forth into Galilee, and Jesus finds Philip, and says to him, Follow me.

⁴⁵ Philip finds Nathanael, and says to him, We have found him of whom Moses wrote in the law, and the prophets, Jesus, the son of Joseph, who is from Nazareth.

⁴⁶ And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

⁴³ The next day He decided to go to Galilee, so He finds Philip and says to him, “Follow me.”

⁴⁵ Philip finds Nathanael and says to him, “We have found the One of whom Moses in the Law—and also the prophets—wrote: Jesus the son of Joseph, from Natsareth.”

⁴⁶ So Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Natsareth?” Philip says to him, “Come and see!”

⁴¹ He went at once to find his brother Simon and told him, “We've found the Messiah!” (which means “Christ”).

⁴² He took him to Jesus. Looking directly at Simon, Jesus said, “You are Simon, son of John. But now you will be called Cephas,” (which means “Peter”).

⁴³ The next day Jesus decided to go to Galilee. Jesus found Philip there, and told him, “Follow me.”

⁴⁴ Philip was from Bethsaida, the same town that Andrew and Peter came from.

⁴⁵ Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We've found the one that Moses wrote about in the law and that the prophets did too—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

⁴⁶ “From Nazareth? Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael wondered. “Just come and see,” Philip replied.

⁴¹ The same founde his brother Simon first, and said vnto him, We haue founde that Messias, which is by interpretation, that Christ.

⁴² And he brought him to Iesus. And Iesus behelde him, and saide, Thou art Simon the sonne of Iona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, a stone.

⁴³ The day following, Iesus woulde goe into Galile, and founde Philip, and said vnto him, Followe me.

⁴⁴ Nowe Philip was of Bethsaida, the citie of Andrew and Peter.

⁴⁵ Philippe founde Nathanael, and saide vnto him, Wee haue founde him of whom Moses did write in the Lawe, and the Prophetes, Iesus that sonne of Ioseph, that was of Nazareth.

⁴⁶ Then Nathanael sayde vnto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saide to him, Come, and see.

⁴³ On the next day, he was determined to go out into Galilee District, Circuit, and he found Philip Loves horses. Yeshua Salvation said to him, “Follow me.”

⁴⁴ Now Philip Loves horses was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew Manly and Peter Rock.

⁴⁵ Philip Loves horses found Nathanael Given by God, and said to him, “We have found the one that Moses Drawn out wrote about in the Torah ·Teaching·, and the Prophets— it is Yeshua Salvation son of Joseph May he add from Nazareth Branch, Separated one.”

⁴⁶ Nathanael Given by God said to him, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth Branch, Separated one?” Philip Loves horses said to him, “Come and see.”

⁴¹ The same founde his brother Simon fyrst and sayde vnto him: we have founde Messias which is by interpretacion annoynted:

⁴² and brought him to Iesus. And Iesus behelde him and sayde: thou arte Simon the sonne of Ionas thou shalt be called Cephas: which is by interpretacion a stone.

⁴³ The daye folowynge Iesus wolde goo into Galile and founde Philip and sayde vnto him folowe me.

⁴⁴ Philip was of Bethsaida the cite of Andrew and Peter.

⁴⁵ And Philip founde Nathanael and sayde vnto him. We have founde him of whom Moses in the lawe and the prophetes dyd wryte. Iesus the sonne of Ioseph of Nazareth.

⁴⁶ And Nathanael sayde vnto him: can ther eny good thinge come out of Nazareth? Philip sayde to him: come and se.

⁴¹ This foond first his brother Symount, and he seide to him, We han foundun Messias, that is to seie, Crist; and he ledde him to Jhesu.

⁴² And Jhesus bihelde hym, and seide, Thou art Symount, the sone of Johanna; thou schalt be clepid Cefas, that is to seie, Petre.

⁴³ And on the morewe he wolde go out in to Galilee, and he foond Filip; and he seith to hym, Sue thou me.

⁴⁴ Filip was of Bethsaida, the citee of Andrew and of Petre.

⁴⁵ Filip foond Nathanael, and seide to hym, We han foundun Jhesu, the sone of Joseph, of Nazareth, whom Moyses wroot in the lawe and profetis.

⁴⁶ And Nathanael seide to hym, Of Nazareth may sum good thing be?

⁴¹ this one doth first find his own brother Simon, and saith to him, 'We have found the Messiah,' (which is, being interpreted, The Anointed,)

⁴² and he brought him unto Jesus: and having looked upon him, Jesus saith, 'Thou art Simon, the son of Jonas, thou shalt be called Cephas,' (which is interpreted, A rock.)

⁴³ On the morrow, he willed to go forth to Galilee, and he findeth Philip, and saith to him, 'Be following me.'

⁴⁴ And Philip was from Bethsaida, of the city of Andrew and Peter;

⁴⁵ Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith to him, 'Him of whom Moses wrote in the Law, and the prophets, we have found, Jesus the son of Joseph, who is from Nazareth;'

⁴⁶ and Nathanael said to him, 'Out of Nazareth is any good thing able to be?' Philip said to him, 'Come and see.'
