John 19:27-30 in English

²⁷ Then saith he to the disciple, Behold, thy mother! And from that hour the disciple took her unto his own home.

²⁸ After this Jesus, knowing that all things are now finished, that the scripture might be accomplished, saith, I thirst.

²⁹ There was set there a vessel full of vinegar: so they put a sponge full of the vinegar upon hyssop, and brought it to his mouth.

³⁰ When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.

²⁷ Then He told the disciple, “Here is your mother!” From that hour, that disciple took her into his own home.

²⁸ After this, Jesus, knowing that everything was now accomplished, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I’m thirsty!”

²⁹ A jar full of vinegar was standing there, so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on a hyssop stalk, and lifted it up to His mouth.

³⁰ When Jesus had received the vinegar, He said, “It is finished!” Then, He bowed His head, and gave up His spirit.

²⁷ Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

²⁷ And he said to me, “ Treat this woman as MET your mother.” So from that time I took her to my home and took care of her.

²⁸ Later, Jesus knew that everything that God sent him to do had now been completed {that he had now completed everything that God sent him to do}, but he knew that something else that was written in the Scriptures had to be fulfilled { that he had to fulfill something else that they had written in the Scriptures}. So he said, “I am thirsty!”

²⁹ There was a jar of sour wine there. So someone took a stalk of a plant called hyssop and fastened a sponge to it. Then he dipped the sponge into the wine and lifted it up to Jesus' lips.

³⁰ When Jesus tasted the sour wine, he shouted, “ I have finished all that I came to do!” Then he bowed his head and ◄died/handed over his spirit to God►.

²⁷ Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.

²⁸ After this, Jesus, seeing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty!”

²⁹ Now there was a vessel ready, full of bitter wine, and they put a sponge full of it on a stick and put it to his mouth.

³⁰ So when Jesus had taken the wine he said, All is done. And with his head bent he gave up his spirit.

²⁷ Then he says unto the disciple, Behold thy mother. And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

²⁸ After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now finished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, says, I thirst.

²⁹ There was a vessel therefore there full of vinegar, and having filled a sponge with vinegar, and putting hyssop round it, they put it up to his mouth.

³⁰ When therefore Jesus had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished; and having bowed his head, he delivered up his spirit.

²⁹ Now a vessel was set full of sour wine; and they, having filled a sponge with sour wine, put it around a hyssop, they held it to His mouth.

³⁰ Therefore when Jesus received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

²⁷ Then He says to the disciple, “There is your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

²⁸ After this, knowing that everything was now accomplished so that the Scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus says, “I'm thirsty!”

²⁹ Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; so they filled a sponge with sour wine, placed it on a hyssop, and put it to His mouth.

³⁰ Then, when He had received the sour wine, Jesus said, “Paid in full!!” And bowing His head He dismissed His spirit.

²⁷ Then he said to the disciple, “This is your mother.” From then on the disciple took her into his home.

²⁸ Jesus now realized that he had finished all that he had come to do. In fulfillment of Scripture, he said, “I'm thirsty.”

²⁹ A jar of wine vinegar was standing there, so they soaked a sponge in the vinegar, put it on a hyssop stick, and held it to his lips.

³⁰ After he'd had the vinegar, Jesus said, “It's finished!” Then he bowed his head and breathed his last.

²⁷ Then saide he to the disciple, Beholde thy mother: and from that houre, the disciple tooke her home vnto him.

²⁸ After, when Iesus knew that all things were performed, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, he said, I thirst.

²⁹ And there was set a vessell full of vineger: and they filled a spondge with vineger: and put it about an Hyssope stalke, and put it to his mouth.

³⁰ Nowe when Iesus had receiued of the vineger, he saide, It is finished, and bowed his head, and gaue vp the ghost.

²⁷ Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother. And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home.

²⁹ There was a bowl standing there full of common wine; so they put a sponge soaked in the wine on the end of a hyssop-stalk, and held it up to his mouth.

³⁰ When Jesus had received the wine, he exclaimed, “All is finished!” Then, bowing his head, he resigned his spirit to God.

²⁷ Then he said to that disciple, “There is your mother.” And from that very hour the disciple took her to live in his house.

²⁸ Afterward, knowing that everything was now finished, Jesus said, in fulfillment of the words of scripture, “I am thirsty.”

²⁹ There was a bowl standing there full of common wine; so they put a sponge soaked in the wine on the end of a hyssop-stalk, and held it up to his mouth.

²⁸ After this, Yeshua Salvation, seeing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I am thirsty.”

²⁹ Now a vessel full of vinegar was set; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.

³⁰ When Yeshua Salvation therefore had received the vinegar, he said, “It is finished.” He bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.

²⁷ Then sayde he to the disciple: beholde thy mother. And from that houre the disciple toke her for his awne.

²⁸ After that when Iesus perceaved that all thinges were performed: that the scripture myght be fulfilled he sayde: I thyrst.

²⁹ Ther stode a vessell full of veneger by. And they filled a sponge with veneger and wounde it about with ysope and put it to his mouth.

³⁰ Assone as Iesus had receaved of the veneger he sayd: It is fynesshed and bowed his heed and gaue vp the goost.

²⁷ Then he said to the disciple, “See, your mother!” From that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

²⁸ After this, knowing that everything was now completed and so that the scriptures would be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I am thirsty.”

²⁹ A container full of sour wine was placed there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop staff and lifted it up to his mouth.

³⁰ When Jesus had taken the sour wine, he said, “It is finished.” He bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

²⁷ Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.

²⁹ And a vessel was set full of vinegar or eisell. And they laid in hyssop about the sponge full of vinegar, and put to his mouth./And they took a sponge full of eisell, putting it about with hyssop, and proffered it to his mouth.

³⁰ Therefore when Jesus had taken the vinegar, he said, It is ended. And when his head was bowed down, he gave up the ghost./And when Jesus had tasted this eisell, he said, It is ended. And he bowed down the head, and sent out the spirit.

²⁷ Afterward he saith to the disciple, Lo! thy mother. And from that hour the disciple took her into (or as) his (own) mother.

²⁸ Afterward Jesus witting, that now all things be ended, (so) that the scripture were fulfilled, he saith, I thirst.

²⁹ And a vessel was set (there) full of vinegar. And they laid in hyssop about the sponge full of vinegar, and put (it) to his mouth./And a vessel was set (there) full of eisell. And they took a sponge full of eisell, putting it about with hyssop, and proffered it to his mouth.

³⁰ Therefore when Jesus had taken the vinegar, he said, It is ended. And when his head was bowed down, he gave up the ghost./And when Jesus had tasted this eisell, he said, It is ended. And he bowed down the head, and sent out the spirit.

²⁷ Aftyrward he seith to the disciple, Lo! thi modir. And fro that our the disciple took hir in to his modir.

²⁸ Aftirward Jhesus witynge, that now alle thingis ben endid, that the scripture were fulfillid, he seith, Y thirste.

²⁹ And a vessel was set ful of vynegre. And thei `leiden in isope aboute the spounge ful of vynegre, and putten to his mouth.

³⁰ Therfor whanne Jhesus hadde `takun the vynegre, he seid, It is endid. And `whanne his heed was bowid doun, `he yaf vp the goost.

²⁷ afterward he saith to the disciple, 'Lo, thy mother;' and from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.

²⁸ After this, Jesus knowing that all things now have been finished, that the Writing may be fulfilled, saith, 'I thirst;'

²⁹ a vessel, therefore, was placed full of vinegar, and they having filled a sponge with vinegar, and having put it around a hyssop stalk, did put it to his mouth;

³⁰ when, therefore, Jesus received the vinegar, he said, 'It hath been finished;' and having bowed the head, gave up the spirit.
