⁴ Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were coming upon him, went forth, and saith unto them, Whom seek ye?

⁵ They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.

⁶ When therefore he said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

⁷ Again therefore he asked them, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

⁸ Jesus answered, I told you that I am he; if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

⁹ that the word might be fulfilled which he spake, Of those whom thou hast given me I lost not one.

¹⁰ Simon Peter therefore having a sword drew it, and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. Now the servant’s name was Malchus.

¹¹ Jesus therefore said unto Peter, Put up the sword into the sheath: the cup which the Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

¹² So the band and the chief captain, and the officers of the Jews, seized Jesus and bound him,

¹³ and led him to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.

⁴ Therefore Jesus, knowing everything that would happen to Him, went forward and asked them, “Who are you looking for?”

⁵ They answered, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus told them, “I AM.” Judas, who betrayed Him, also stood with them.

⁶ Now when He told them, “I AM,” they drew back and fell to the ground.

⁷ Then He asked them again, “Who are you looking for?” They said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”

⁸ Jesus answered, “I told you that I AM. So, if you are looking for me, let these go their way,”

⁹ that the saying might be fulfilled which He spoke, “I have lost none of those who You gave me.”

¹⁰ Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.

¹¹ So Jesus told Peter, “Put your sword into its sheath! Shouldn’t I drink the cup that my Father has given me?”

¹² Then the detachment of soldiers and their commander and the officers of the Jews arrested Jesus and tied Him up.

¹³ They led Him away to Annas first, because he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.

¹¹ Then said Jesus unto Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

¹² Then the band and the captain and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,

¹³ And led him away to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was the high priest that same year.

¹³ and led him to Annas first; for he was father in law to Caiaphas, which was high priest that year.

⁴ Jesus knew everything that was about to happen to him. So as they approached, he stepped forward and asked them, “Who are you looking for?”

⁵ They replied to him, “Jesus, the man from Nazareth.” He replied, “That is who I am.” Judas, the one who was enabling his enemies to seize him, was with them.

⁶ When Jesus told them, “That is who I am,” they lurched backward and fell down on the ground because of his power.

⁷ He asked them again, “Who are you looking for?” They said, “Jesus, the man from Nazareth.”

⁸ Jesus replied, “I told you that I am Jesus. So since I am the one you are looking for, allow these disciples of mine to go.”

⁹ This happened in order that when they did what he asked them to do, the words would be fulfilled that he had prayed, “I will never lose any of those whom God has brought to me.”

¹⁰ Simon Peter had a long dagger. So he drew it and tried to kill the high priest's servant, but he only cut off the man's right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

¹¹ Jesus said to Peter, “Put your sword back into its sheath! ◄I must endure what my Father wants me to suffer./Do you not think that I must endure what my Father wants me to suffer?► MET, RHQ”

¹² Then the troop of soldiers, along with their commander and the Jewish Temple guards, seized Jesus. They tied his hands behind his back.

¹³ Then they took him first to Annas, who was previously the high priest. He was the father-in-law of Caiaphas. Caiaphas was the high priest that year.

⁴ Jesus therefore, knowing all the things that were happening to him, went out and said to them, “Who are you looking for?”

⁵ They answered him, “Jesus of Nazareth.” Jesus said to them, “I am he.” Judas also, who betrayed him, was standing with them.

⁶ When therefore he said to them, “I am he,” they went backward and fell to the ground.

⁴ Then Jesus, having knowledge of everything which was coming on him, went forward and said to them, Who are you looking for?

⁵ Their answer was, Jesus the Nazarene. Jesus said, I am he. And Judas, who was false to him, was there at their side.

⁶ And when he said to them, I am he, they went back, falling to the earth.

⁷ So again he put the question to them, Who are you looking for? And they said, Jesus the Nazarene.

⁸ Jesus made answer, I have said that I am he; if you are looking for me, let these men go away.

⁹ (He said this so that his words might come true, I have kept safe all those whom you gave to me.)

¹⁰ Then Simon Peter, who had a sword, took it out and gave the high priest's servant a blow, cutting off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus.

¹¹ Then Jesus said to Peter, Put back your sword: am I not to take the cup which my Father has given to me?

¹² Then the band and the chief captain and the police took Jesus and put cords round him.

¹³ They took him first to Annas, because Annas was the father-in-law of Caiaphas who was the high priest that year.

⁷ He demanded of them therefore again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus the Nazaraean.

⁸ Jesus answered, I told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go away;

⁹ that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, As to those whom thou hast given me, I have not lost one of them.

¹⁰ Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, and smote the bondman of the high priest and cut off his right ear; and the bondman's name was Malchus.

¹¹ Jesus therefore said to Peter, Put the sword into the sheath; the cup which the Father has given me, shall I not drink it?

¹² The band therefore, and the chiliarch, and the officers of the Jews, took Jesus and bound him:

¹³ and they led him away to Annas first; for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.

⁴ Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said to them: Whom seek ye?

⁵ They answered him: Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith to them: I am he. And Judas also, who betrayed him, stood with them.

¹¹ Jesus therefore said to Peter: Put up thy sword into the scabbard. The chalice which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

¹² Then the band and the tribune, and the servants of the Jews, took Jesus, and bound him:

¹³ And they led him away to Annas first, for he was father in law to Caiphas, who was the high priest of that year.

⁴ Jesus therefore, knowing all things coming upon Him, went out and said to them, “Whom do you seek?”

⁵ They answered Him, “Jesus the Nazarene.” Jesus said to them, “I AM.” And Judas, the one betraying Him, was standing with them.

⁶ Therefore when He said to them, “I AM,” they stepped back and fell to the ground.

⁷ Then He asked them again, “Whom do you seek?” And they said, “Jesus the Nazarene.”

⁸ Jesus answered, “I have told you that I AM! Therefore if you seek Me, allow these men to go,”

⁵ They answered Him, “Jesus the Natsorean.” Jesus says to them, “I am he.” (Now Judas, His betrayer, was also standing with them.)

⁶ So when He said to them, “I am he,” they went backward and fell to the ground!

⁷ Then He asked them again, “Who are you looking for?” And they said, “Jesus the Natsorean.”

⁸ Jesus answered: “I told you that I am he. So if it is me you are looking for, allow these men to go”

⁹ (so that the word that He spoke might be fulfilled, “Of those you have given me I did not lose even one”).

¹¹ So Jesus said to Peter: “Sheathe the sword! The cup that the Father has given me, must I not drink it?”

¹² Then the detachment, the commander and the operatives of the Jews arrested Jesus and bound Him.

¹³ They took Him to Annas first, because he was the father-in-law of Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.

⁴ Jesus knew everything that was going to happen to him. He went to meet them, and asked, “Who are you looking for?”

⁵ “Are you Jesus of Nazareth?” they asked. “I am,” Jesus told them. Judas the betrayer was standing with them.

⁶ When Jesus said “I am,” they fell back and dropped to the ground.

⁷ So he asked them again, “Who are you looking for?” “Are you Jesus of Nazareth?” they asked again.

⁸ “I already told you I am,” Jesus replied. “So if I'm the one you're looking for, let these others go.”

⁹ These words fulfilled what he had previously said: “I have not lost any of those you gave me.”

¹⁰ Then Simon Peter drew a sword and struck Malchus, the high priest's servant, cutting off his right ear.

¹¹ Jesus told Peter, “Put the sword away! Do you think I shouldn't drink the cup the Father has given me?”

¹² Then the soldiers, their commander, and the Jewish guards arrested Jesus and tied his hands.

¹³ First they took him to Annas, the father-in-law of Caiaphas, the current high priest.

⁴ Then Iesus, knowing all things that shoulde come vnto him, went foorth and said vnto them, Whom seeke yee?

⁵ They answered him, Iesus of Nazareth. Iesus sayde vnto them, I am hee. Nowe Iudas also which betraied him, stoode with them.

⁶ Assoone then as hee had saide vnto them, I am hee, they went away backewardes, and fell to the grounde.

⁷ Then he asked them againe, Whome seeke yee? And they sayd, Iesus of Nazareth.

⁸ Iesus answered, I said vnto you, that I am he: therefore if ye seeke me, let these go their way.

⁹ This was that the worde might be fulfilled which hee spake, Of them which thou gauest me, haue I lost none.

¹⁰ Then Simon Peter hauing a sword, drewe it, and smote the hie Priests seruant, and cut off his right eare. Nowe the seruants name was Malchus.

¹¹ Then sayde Iesus vnto Peter, Put vp thy sworde into the sheath: shall I not drinke of the cuppe which my Father hath giuen me?

¹² Then the bande and the captaine, and the officers of the Iewes tooke Iesus, and bound him,

¹³ And led him away to Annas first (for he was father in lawe to Caiaphas, which was the hie Priest that same yeere)

⁶ When therefore he said to them, “Ena Na I AM (the Living God),” they went backward, and fell to the ground.

⁷ Again therefore he asked them, “Who are you looking for?” They said, “Yeshua Salvation of Nazareth Branch, Separated one.”

⁸ Yeshua Salvation answered, “I told you that Ena Na I AM (the Living God). If therefore you seek me, let these go their way,”

⁹ that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, “Of those whom you have given me, I have lost none.”

¹⁰ Simeon Peter Hearing Rock therefore, having a sword, drew it, and struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.

¹¹ Yeshua Salvation therefore said to Peter Rock, “Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which haAbba ·the Father· has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”

¹² So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Jews Praisers, seized Yeshua Salvation and bound him,

¹³ and led him to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas Rock that hollows itself out, who was high priest that year.

⁴ Then Iesus knowynge all thinges that shuld come on him went forth and sayde vnto them: whom seke ye?

⁵ They answered him: Iesus of Nazareth. Iesus sayde vnto them: I am he.

⁶ Iudas also which betrayed him stode with them.

⁷ But assone as he had sayd vnto them I am he they went backe wardes and fell to the grounde.

⁸ And he axed the agayne: whome seke ye? They saydeIesus of Nazareth.

⁹ Iesus answered I sayde vnto you I am he. If ye seke me let these goo their waye.

¹⁰ That the sayinge might be fulfilled which he spake: of the which thou gavest me have I not lost one.

¹¹ Simon Peter had a swearde and drue it and smote the hye prestes servaunt and cut of his ryght eare. The servauntes name was Malchas.

¹² Then sayde Iesus vnto Peter: put vp thy swearde into the sheath: shall I not drinke of the cup which my father hath geven me?

¹³ Then the company and the captayne and the ministres of of the Iewes toke Iesus and bounde him

⁷ Again therefore he asked them, “Who are you looking for?” They said, “Jesus of Nazareth.”

⁸ Jesus answered, “I told you that I am he. If therefore you seek me, let these go their way,”

⁹ that the word might be fulfilled which he spoke, “Of those whom you have given me, I have lost none.”

¹⁰ Simon Peter therefore, having a sword, drew it, struck the high priest’s servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant’s name was Malchus.

¹¹ Jesus therefore said to Peter, “Put the sword into its sheath. The cup which the Father has given me, shall I not surely drink it?”

¹² So the detachment, the commanding officer, and the officers of the Jews seized Jesus and bound him,

¹³ and led him to Annas first, for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was high priest that year.

⁴ Jesus therefore, knowing all things that were coming upon him, went forth, and said to them, Whom seek ye?

⁵ They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith to them, I am he . And Judas also, who betrayed him, stood with them.

⁶ As soon then as he had said to them, I am he , they went backward, and fell to the ground.

⁷ Then he asked them again, Whom seek ye? And they said, Jesus of Nazareth.

⁸ Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he : If therefore ye seek me, let these go away:

¹¹ Then said Jesus to Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

¹² Then the band, and the captain, and officers of the Jews took Jesus, and bound him,

¹³ And led him away to Annas first, (for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was the high priest that same year.)

¹³ and led him first to Annas; for he was the father of Caiaphas’ wife, that was bishop of that year. (and first they led him to Annas; he was the father of the wife of Caiaphas, and Caiaphas was the High Priest that year.)

⁴ And so Jhesus witynge alle thingis that weren to come on hym, wente forth, and seide to hem, Whom seken ye?

⁵ Thei answeriden to hym, Jhesu of Nazareth. Jhesus seith to hem, Y am. And Judas that bitraiede hym, stood with hem.

⁶ And whanne he seide to hem, Y am, thei wenten abak, and fellen doun on the erthe.

⁷ And eft he axide hem, Whom seken ye? And thei seiden, Jhesu of Nazareth.

⁸ He answeride to hem, Y seide to you, that Y am; therfor if ye seken me, suffre ye these to go awei.

⁹ That the word which he seide schulde be fulfillid, For Y loste not ony of hem, whiche thou `hast youun to me.

¹⁰ Therfor Symount Petre hadde a swerd, and drow it out, and smoot the seruaunt of the bischop, and kittide of his riyt eer. And the name of the seruaunt was Malcus.

¹¹ Therfor Jhesus seide to Petre, Putte thou thi swerd in to thi schethe; wolt thou not, that Y drynke the cuppe, that my fadir yaf to me?

¹² Therfor the cumpenye of knyytis, and the tribune, and the mynystris of the Jewis, token Jhesu, and bounden hym,

¹³ and ledden hym first to Annas; for he was fadir of Caifas wijf, that was bischop of that yeer.

⁴ Jesus, therefore, knowing all things that are coming upon him, having gone forth, said to them, 'Whom do ye seek?'

⁵ they answered him, 'Jesus the Nazarene;' Jesus saith to them, 'I am he;' — and Judas who delivered him up was standing with them; —

⁶ when, therefore, he said to them — 'I am he,' they went away backward, and fell to the ground.

⁷ Again, therefore, he questioned them, 'Whom do ye seek?' and they said, 'Jesus the Nazarene;'

⁸ Jesus answered, 'I said to you that I am he; if, then, me ye seek, suffer these to go away;'

⁹ that the word might be fulfilled that he said — 'Those whom Thou hast given to me, I did not lose of them even one.'
