²⁴ Annas therefore sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

²⁵ Now Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore unto him, Art thou also one of his disciples? He denied, and said, I am not.

²⁶ One of the servants of the high priest, being a kinsman of him whose ear Peter cut off, saith, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?

²⁷ Peter therefore denied again: and straightway the cock crew.

²⁸ They lead Jesus therefore from Caiaphas into the Prætorium: and it was early; and they themselves entered not into the Prætorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the passover.

²⁴ Then Annas sent Him, still bound, to Caiaphas, the high priest.

²⁵ Now Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. Therefore they asked him, “You aren’t one of His disciples, too, are you?” He denied it, saying, “I am not!”

²⁶ One of the servants of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with Him?”

²⁷ Peter then denied it again, and immediately a rooster crowed.

²⁸ Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the Praetorium. It was early morning. They themselves didn’t go into the Praetorium, so that they wouldn’t be defiled, and so that they might eat the Passover supper.

²⁴ Now Annas had sent him bound unto Caiaphas the high priest.

²⁵ And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.

²⁸ Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the passover.

²⁴ Then after Jesus' hands were tied {after they tied Jesus hands} again, Annas sent him to Caiaphas, the high priest.

²⁵ As Simon Peter was standing warming himself at the fire, someone else said to him, “You are not one of that man's disciples, are you?” He denied that he was, and said, “I am not.”

²⁶ Later one of the high priest's servants, a man who was a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off before, said to him, “I saw you with that man in the grove of olive trees, did I not?”

²⁷ Peter again denied it. Immediately a rooster crowed, as Jesus had said would happen.

²⁸ Then the Jewish leaders SYN led Jesus from the home of Caiaphas to the headquarters of Pilate, the Roman governor. It was before dawn. Pilate was a non-Jew, and they thought that if they entered his headquarters, they would become unacceptable to God {God would reject them}, and as a result they would not be able to eat the food during the Passover celebration. Because of that, they did not want to enter Pilate's headquarters.

²⁴ Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas, the high priest.

²⁸ So they took Jesus from the house of Caiaphas to the Praetorium. It was early. They themselves did not go into the Praetorium, so that they might not become unclean, but might take the Passover.

²⁴ Annas then had sent him bound to Caiaphas the high priest.

²⁵ But Simon Peter was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, Art thou also of his disciples? He denied, and said, I am not.

²⁶ One of the bondmen of the high priest, who was kinsman of him whose ear Peter cut off, says, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?

²⁷ Peter denied it again, and immediately a cock crowed.

²⁸ Early in the morning they took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. The Jewish leaders didn't enter the palace because if they did they would be ceremonially defiled, and they wanted to be able to eat the Passover meal.

²⁴ Nowe Annas had sent him bound vnto Caiaphas the hie Priest)

²⁵ And Simon Peter stoode and warmed himselfe, and they said vnto him, Art not thou also of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I am not.

²⁶ One of the seruaunts of the hie Priest, his cousin whose eare Peter smote off, saide, Did not I see thee in the garden with him?

²⁷ Peter then denied againe, and immediatly the cocke crewe.

²⁸ Then led they Iesus from Caiaphas into the common hall. Nowe it was morning, and they themselues went not into the common hall, least they should be defiled, but that they might eate the Passeouer.

²⁸ From Caiaphas they took Jesus to the Government house. It was early in the morning. But they did not enter the Government house themselves, otherwise they might become defiled, and so be unable to eat the Passover.

²⁴ Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas Rock that hollows itself out, the high priest.

²⁵ Now Simeon Peter Hearing Rock was standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him, “You are not also one of his disciples, are you?” He denied it, and said, “I am not.”

²⁶ One of the servants of the high priest, being a relative of him whose ear Peter Rock had cut off, said, “Didn’t I see you in the garden with him?”

²⁷ Peter Rock therefore denied it again, and immediately the rooster crowed.

²⁸ They led Yeshua Salvation therefore from Caiaphas Rock that hollows itself out into the Praetorium. It was early, and they themselves didn’t enter into the Praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but might eat the Pesac ·Passover· meal (Nissan 14).

²⁴ Iesus answered him. If I have evyll spoke beare witnes of the evyll: yf I have well spoke why smytest thou me?

²⁵ And Annas sent him bounde vnto Caiphas the hye preste.

²⁶ Simon Peter stode and warmed him selfe. And they sayde vnto him: arte not thou also one of his disciples? He denyed it and sayde: I am not.

²⁷ One of the servauntes of the hye preste (his cosyn whose eare Peter smote of) sayde vnto him: dyd not I se the in the garden with him?

²⁸ Peter denyed it agayne: and immediatly the cocke crewe.

²⁴ Then Annas sent him tied up to Caiaphas the high priest.

²⁸ Then they led Jesus to (or from) Caiaphas, into the moot hall; and it was early, and they entered not into the moot hall, that they should not be defouled, but that they should eat pask.

²⁴ And Annas sent him bound to Caiaphas, the bishop. (And then Annas, the former High Priest, sent Jesus while still in bonds, or still tied up, to Caiaphas, the current High Priest.)

²⁵ And (meanwhile) Simon Peter stood, and warmed him(self); and they said to him, Whether also thou art his disciple? (or Art thou also his disciple?) He denied, and said, I am not.

²⁶ One of the bishop’s servants (or One of the former High Priest’s servants), (a) cousin of him, whose ear Peter cut off, said, Saw I thee not in the yard with him? +or Whether I saw thee not in the garden with him?

²⁷ And Peter again denied, and anon the cock crew. (And again Peter denied it, and at once the cock crowed.)

²⁸ Then they led Jesus to Caiaphas, into the moot hall; and it was early, and they entered not into the moot hall, that they should not be defouled, but that they should eat pask. (And then they led Jesus from Caiaphas, to the Hall of Judgement, at the Governor’s palace; and it was early in the morning, and they did not enter into the Hall of Judgement at the Governor’s palace, so that they would not be defiled, and then they could still eat the Passover.)

²⁴ And Annas sente hym boundun to Caifas, the bischop.

²⁵ And Symount Petre stood, and warmyde him; and thei seiden to hym, Whether also thou art his disciple? He denyede, and seide, Y am not.

²⁶ Oon of the bischops seruantis, cosyn of hym, whos eere Petre kitte of, seide, Say Y thee not in the yerd with hym?

²⁷ And Petre eftsoone denyede, and anoon the cok crew.

²⁸ Thanne thei ledden Jhesu to Cayfas, in to the moot halle; and it was eerli, and thei entriden not in to the moot halle, that thei schulden not be defoulid, but that thei schulden ete pask.

²⁴ Annas then sent him bound to Caiaphas the chief priest.

²⁵ And Simon Peter was standing and warming himself, they said then to him, 'Art thou also of his disciples?' he denied, and said, 'I am not.'

²⁶ One of the servants of the chief priest, being kinsman of him whose ear Peter cut off, saith, 'Did not I see thee in the garden with him?'

²⁷ again, therefore, Peter denied, and immediately a cock crew.

²⁸ They led, therefore, Jesus from Caiaphas to the praetorium, and it was early, and they themselves did not enter into the praetorium, that they might not be defiled, but that they might eat the passover;
