John 13:7-14 in American Standard Version (1901)

7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt understand hereafter.
8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is bathed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
11 For he knew him that should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
12 So when he had washed their feet, and taken his garments, and sat down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
13 Ye call me, Teacher, and, Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
14 If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.

John 13:7-14 in God's Living Word

7 Jesus answered, “You don’t understand what I am doing now, but you will know after this.”
8 Peter told Him, “You will never wash my feet!” Jesus answered, “If I don’t wash you, you have no part with me.”
9 Simon Peter said to Him, “Lord, not just my feet, but also my hands and my head!”
10 Jesus said to him, “Someone who has bathed only needs to wash their feet, but is completely clean; and most of you are clean, but not all of you.”
11 For He knew who would betray Him, therefore He said, “You aren’t all clean.”
12 When He had washed their feet, He put on His outer garment and sat down again. He asked them, “Do you know what I have done to you?
13 You call me Teacher and Lord, and you are right in saying so, for so I am.
14 If I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.

John 13:7-14 in Translation for Translators

7 Jesus replied to him, “Now you do not understand the meaning of what I am doing, but you will understand later.”
8 Peter said, “I will never, ever, allow you to wash my feet!” Jesus replied to him, “If I do not wash you, you cannot continue ◄to be my disciple/to belong to me►.”
9 So Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, in that case, do not wash only my feet. Wash my hands and my head, too!”
10 Then, to show him that after God had cleansed people from being guilty for sin, they needed only for God to forgive their daily sins MET, Jesus said to him, “Those who have recently bathed need only to have their feet washed, because they get dirty very quickly on the dusty roads. The rest of their bodies are clean. Similarly, I have made you disciples free/clean from the guilt of your sins, although not all of you are free from guilt.”
11 He knew which one of us was going to betray him. That is the reason he said, “Not all of you are free from guilt.”
12 After he finished washing our feet, he put his cloak back on. Then he sat down and said to us, “Do you understand what I have done for you?
13 You show that you respect me by calling me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’. You are right to say that, because I am your teacher and your Lord.
14 But if I, who am your teacher and your Lord, have washed your feet, you ought to serve each other by doing things like washing each other's feet.

12 Then, after washing their feet and putting on his robe again, he took his seat and said to them, Do you see what I have done to you?
13 You give me the name of Master and Lord: and you are right; that is what I am.
14 If then I, the Lord and the Master, have made your feet clean, it is right for you to make one another's feet clean.

8 Peter saith to him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered to him, If I shall not wash thee, thou shalt not have (any) part with me.
9 Simon Peter saith to him, Lord, not only my feet, but both the hands and the head.
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed, hath no need but that he wash the feet, but he is all clean (or then he is altogether clean); and ye be clean, but not all.
11 For he knew, who it was that should betray him (or who it was that would betray him); therefore he said, Ye be not all clean.
12 And so after that he had washed their feet, he took his clothes; and when he was set to (the) meat again, again he said to them, Ye know what I have done to you or Know ye what I have done to you(?). (And so after that he had washed their feet, he took his clothes; and when he had sat down at the meal again, he said to them, Do ye understand what I have done for you?)
13 Ye call me Master and Lord, and ye say well; for I am. (Ye call me Teacher and Lord, and ye say correctly; for that is what I am.)
14 Therefore if I, Lord and Master, have washed your feet, and ye shall wash one another’s feet or ye owe to wash another the other’s feet; (And so, if I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, ye ought to wash one another’s feet;)

John 13:7-14 in Young's Literal Translation

7 Jesus answered and said to him, 'That which I do thou hast not known now, but thou shalt know after these things;'
8 Peter saith to him, 'Thou mayest not wash my feet — to the age.' Jesus answered him, 'If I may not wash thee, thou hast no part with me;'
9 Simon Peter saith to him, 'Sir, not my feet only, but also the hands and the head.'
10 Jesus saith to him, 'He who hath been bathed hath no need save to wash his feet, but he is clean altogether; and ye are clean, but not all;'
11 for he knew him who is delivering him up; because of this he said, 'Ye are not all clean.'
12 When, therefore, he washed their feet, and took his garments, having reclined (at meat) again, he said to them, 'Do ye know what I have done to you?
13 ye call me, The Teacher and The Lord, and ye say well, for I am;
14 if then I did wash your feet — the Lord and the Teacher — ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
