John 12:13-17 in English

¹³ took the branches of the palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried out, Hosanna: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel.

¹⁴ And Jesus, having found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,

¹⁵ Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.

¹⁶ These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

¹⁷ The multitude therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, bare witness.

¹³ they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet Him, and shouted: “Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!’ The King of Israel!”

¹⁴ Then Jesus, finding a young donkey, sat on it, as it is written:

¹⁵ “Don’t be afraid, Daughter of Zion; look, your king is coming, sitting on a donkey’s colt.”

¹⁶ His disciples didn’t understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him and that they had done these things to Him.

¹⁷ So the crowd that had been with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to testify.

¹³ Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

¹⁴ And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,

¹³ So they cut branches from some palm trees and took the branches out of the city to wave them when they met him. Some of them were shouting things like, “Hooray!” “May the Lord God bless the one who is coming with his authority MTY!” Some other people were shouting, “ May God bless the King of Israel!”

¹⁴ When Jesus came near to Jerusalem, he got a young donkey and sat on it as he rode into the city. By doing this, he fulfilled what had been written {what a prophet had written} in Scripture,

¹⁵ You people of Jerusalem, do not be afraid! Look! Your king is coming! He is riding on a donkey's colt!

¹⁶ At first we disciples did not understand those things. But after Jesus had returned to heaven, we realized that those things had been written {that a prophet had written those things} about him, and that by doing those things for him the people had fulfilled what the prophet prophesied.

¹⁷ The crowd that was with him continued to tell other people that he called Lazarus to come out of the tomb, and that Lazarus had then become alive again.

¹³ they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet him, and cried out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel!”

¹⁴ Jesus, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written,

¹⁵ “Don’t be afraid, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey’s colt.”

¹⁴ And Jesus saw a young ass and took his seat on it; as the Writings say,

¹⁵ Have no fear, daughter of Zion: see your King is coming, seated on a young ass.

¹⁶ (These things were not clear to his disciples at first: but when Jesus had been lifted up into his glory, then it came to their minds that these things in the Writings were about him and that they had been done to him.)

¹⁷ Now the people who were with him when his voice came to Lazarus in the place of the dead, and gave him life again, had been talking about it.

¹³ took branches of palms and went out to meet him, and cried, Hosanna, blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel.

¹⁴ And Jesus, having found a young ass, sat upon it; as it is written,

¹⁵ Fear not, daughter of Zion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.

¹⁶ Now his disciples knew not these things at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things to him.

¹⁷ The crowd therefore that was with him bore witness because he had called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from among the dead.

¹³ Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried: Hosanna, blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord, the king of Israel.

¹⁴ And Jesus found a young ass, and sat upon it, as it is written:

¹⁵ Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy king cometh, sitting on an ass’s colt.

¹⁶ These things his disciples did not know at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things to him.

¹⁷ The multitude therefore gave testimony, which was with him, when he called Lazarus out of the grave, and raised him from the dead.

¹³ took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet Him, and they were crying out, “Hosanna! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ The King of Israel!”

¹⁴ Then Jesus, when He had found a young donkey, He sat on it; as it is written:

¹⁵ “Do not fear, daughter of Zion; behold, your King is coming, sitting on the colt of a donkey.”

¹⁶ His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him, and that they did these things to Him.

¹⁷ Therefore the crowd which was with Him when He called Lazarus out of his tomb and raised him from the dead, was testifying.

¹³ took branches from palm trees and went out to meet Him. And they started shouting: “Hosanna!” “Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!” “King of Israel!”

¹⁴ And finding a young donkey Jesus sat on it; just as it is written:

¹⁵ “Fear no more, daughter of Zion. Look, your King is coming, sitting on a donkey's colt!”

¹⁶ (Now His disciples did not understand these things at first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about Him, and they had done them to Him.)

¹⁷ So the crowd that had been with Him when He called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to testify.

¹³ They cut off palm branches and went to welcome him, shouting, “Hosanna! Blessed is the one coming in the name of the Lord. Blessed is the king of Israel.”

¹⁴ Jesus found a young donkey and rode on it, as Scripture says:

¹⁵ “Don't be afraid, daughter of Zion. Look, your king is coming, riding a donkey's colt.”

¹⁶ At the time, Jesus' disciples did not understand what these things meant. It was only later when he was glorified that they realized what had happened had been prophesied and applied to him.

¹⁷ Many in the crowd had seen Jesus call Lazarus from the tomb and raise him from the dead and were telling the story.

¹³ Tooke branches of palme trees, and went foorth to meete him, and cried, Hosanna, Blessed is the King of Israel that commeth in the Name of the Lord.

¹⁴ And Iesus found a yong asse, and sate thereon, as it is written,

¹⁵ Feare not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King commeth sitting on an asses colte.

¹⁶ But his disciples vnderstoode not these thinges at the first: but when Iesus was glorified, then remembred they, that these thinges were written of him, and that they had done these things vnto him.

¹⁷ The people therefore that was with him, bare witnesse that hee called Lazarus out of the graue, and raised him from the dead.

¹³ took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.

¹⁴ And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,

¹⁵ ‘Fear not, people of Zion; Your king is coming to you, Sitting on the foal of an ass.’

¹⁶ His disciples did not understand all this at first; but, when Jesus had been exalted, then they remembered that these things had been said of him in scripture, and that they had done these things for him.

¹⁷ Meanwhile the people who were with him, when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, were telling what they had seen.

¹³ and went out to meet him, shouting as they went, “God save Him! Blessed is He who Comes in the name of the Lord — The king of Israel!”

¹⁴ Having found a young ass, Jesus seated himself on it, in accordance with the passage of scripture —

¹⁵ ‘Fear not, people of Zion; Your king is coming to you, Sitting on the foal of an ass.’

¹⁶ His disciples did not understand all this at first; but, when Jesus had been exalted, then they remembered that these things had been said of him in scripture, and that they had done these things for him.

¹⁷ Meanwhile the people who were with him, when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead, were telling what they had seen.

¹³ they took the branches of the palm trees, and went out to meet him, shouting, “ Hosanna! ·Save now!· Blessed is he who comes in the name of MarYah Master Yahweh, the Melek Isra'el King of God prevails!”

¹⁴ Yeshua Salvation, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written,

¹⁵ “Don’t be afraid, daughter of Zion Mountain ridge, Marking. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey’s colt.”

¹⁶ His disciples didn’t understand these things at first, but when Yeshua Salvation was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about him, and that they had done these things to him.

¹⁷ The multitude therefore that was with him when he called Lazarus Help of God out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, was testifying about it.

¹³ toke braunches of palme trees and went and met him and cryed: Hosanna blessed is he that in the name of the Lorde commeth kynge of Israel.

¹⁴ And Iesus got a yonge asse and sate theron accordinge to that which was writte:

¹⁵ feare not doughter of Sion beholde thy kynge cometh sittinge on an asses coolte.

¹⁶ These thinges vnderstode not his disciples at the fyrst: but when Iesus was gloryfied then remembryd they that soche thinges were written of him and that soche thinges they had done vnto him.

¹⁷ The people that was with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave and raysed him from deeth bare recorde.

¹³ they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet him and cried out, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, the King of Israel.”

¹⁴ Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it; as it was written,

¹⁷ Therefore the people bare witness-ing, that was with him, when he called Lazarus from the grave, and raised him from death.

¹³ took branches of palms, and came forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna, blessed is the king of Israel, that cometh in the name of the Lord.

¹⁴ And Jesus found a young ass, and sat on him, as it is written,

¹⁵ The daughter of Sion, do not thou dread, (or The daughter of Zion, do not fear); lo! thy king cometh, sitting on an ass’s foal or sitting on the colt of a she-ass.

¹⁶ His disciples knew not (at) first these things, but when Jesus was glorified, then they had mind, that these things were written of him, and these things they did to him. (His disciples at first did not understand the meaning of these things, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered, that these things were written about him, and that the people had done these things for him.)

¹⁷ Therefore the people bare witnessing, that was with him, when he called Lazarus from the grave, and raised him from death or and raised him from (the) dead. (And so the people, who were with him, when he called Lazarus out of the tomb, and raised him from the dead, testified about that.)

¹³ token braunchis of palmes, and camen forth ayens hym, and crieden, Osanna, blessid is the kyng of Israel, that cometh in the name of the Lord.

¹⁴ And Jhesus foond a yonge asse, and sat on hym,

¹⁵ as it is writun, The douytir of Syon, nyle thou drede; lo! thi kyng cometh, sittynge on `an asse fole.

¹⁶ Hise disciplis knewen not first these thingis, but whanne Jhesus was glorified, thanne thei hadden mynde, for these thingis weren writun of hym, and these thingis thei diden to hym.

¹⁷ Therfor the puple bar witnessyng, that was with hym, whanne he clepide Lazarus fro the graue, and reiside hym fro deth.

¹³ took the branches of the palms, and went forth to meet him, and were crying, 'Hosanna, blessed is he who is coming in the name of the Lord — the king of Israel;'

¹⁴ and Jesus having found a young ass did sit upon it, according as it is written,

¹⁵ 'Fear not, daughter of Sion, lo, thy king doth come, sitting on an ass' colt.'

¹⁶ And these things his disciples did not know at the first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were having been written about him, and these things they did to him.

¹⁷ The multitude, therefore, who are with him, were testifying that he called Lazarus out of the tomb, and did raise him out of the dead;
