John 11:3-5 in English

³ The sisters therefore sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

⁴ But when Jesus heard it, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby.

⁵ Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

³ These sisters therefore sent to Him, saying, “Lord, one You love is sick!”

⁴ When Jesus heard this, He said, “This sickness won’t end in death, but for God’s glory, so that God’s Son may be glorified by it.”

⁵ Now Jesus sincerely loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

³ Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

⁴ When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.

⁴ They hoped that Jesus would come , but when Jesus heard the message, he said, “His being sick will not end in his dying. Instead, it will result in people realizing how great God is, and that I, God's son, may be honored {that people may honor me, God's son}, because of what I will do .”

⁵ Jesus loved Martha and her younger sister Mary and Lazarus.

³ The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, “Lord, behold, he for whom you have great affection is sick.”

⁴ But when Jesus heard it, he said, “This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God’s Son may be glorified by it.”

³ The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick.

⁴ Upon hearing it Jesus said, “This sickness is not unto death but for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.”

³ So the sisters sent a message to Jesus: “Lord, your close friend is sick.”

⁴ When Jesus heard the news he said, “The end result of this sickness will not be death. Through this God's glory will be revealed so that the Son of God may be glorified.”

⁵ Even though Jesus loved Martha, Mary, and Lazarus,

³ Therefore his sisters sent vnto him, saying, Lord, beholde, he whome thou louest, is sicke.

⁴ When Iesus heard it, he saide, This sickenes is not vnto death, but for the glorie of God, that the Sonne of God might be glorified thereby.

⁵ Nowe Iesus loued Martha and her sister, and Lazarus.

⁴ and, when Jesus heard it, he said, “This illness is not to end in death, but is to redound to the honor of God, in order that the Son of God may be honored through it.”

³ The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, “Lord, behold, he for whom you phileo ·affectionately love, have high regard for· is sick.”

⁴ But when Yeshua Salvation heard it, he said, “This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God’s Son may be glorified by it.”

⁵ Now Yeshua Salvation had agapao ·total devotion love· towards Martha Lady mistress, Strong bitterness, and her sister, and Lazarus Help of God.

³ and his sisters sent vnto him sayinge. Lorde behold he whom thou lovest is sicke.

⁴ When Iesus hearde that he sayd: this infirmite is not vnto deth but for the laude of God that the sonne of God myght be praysed by the reason of it.

⁵ Iesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus.

³ The sisters then sent for Jesus, saying, “Lord, see, he whom you love is sick.”

⁴ When Jesus heard it, he said, “This sickness is not to death, but instead it is for the glory of God so that the Son of God may be glorified by it.”

⁴ And Jhesus herde, and seide to hem, This syknesse is not to the deth, but for the glorie of God, that mannus sone be glorified bi hym.

⁵ And Jhesus louyde Martha, and hir sistir Marie, and Lazarus.

³ therefore sent the sisters unto him, saying, 'Sir, lo, he whom thou dost love is ailing;'

⁴ and Jesus having heard, said, 'This ailment is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it.'

⁵ And Jesus was loving Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus,
