Galatians 5:20-22 in English

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, parties,

²¹ envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; of which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

²⁰ Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

²¹ Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousies, wraths, factions, divisions, heresies,

²¹ envyings, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I forewarn you, even as I did forewarn you, that they which practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

²⁰ People worship false gods and things that represent those gods. People perform ◄rituals in order that evil spirits might act for them/sorcery►. People are hostile to others. People quarrel with each other. People are ◄jealous/resent other people's status►. People behave angrily. People try ◄to get others to think highly of them/to exalt themselves► and ◄do not consider what others want/act selfishly►. People do not associate with others. People associate only with those who agree with them.

²¹ People want what others have. People get drunk. People ◄revel/participate in wild parties►. And people do other things like these. I warn you now, just like I warned you previously, that the ones who constantly act and think like that will not receive what God has for his own people when he begins to rule over us.

²² But God's Spirit causes us to do these things: We love others. We are joyful. We are peaceful. We are patient. We are kind. We are good. We are ones whom others can trust.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, a quiet mind, kind acts, well-doing, faith,

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strifes, jealousies, angers, contentions, disputes, schools of opinion,

²¹ envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revels, and things like these; as to which I tell you beforehand, even as I also have said before, that they who do such things shall not inherit God's kingdom.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity,

²⁰ Idolatry, witchcrafts, enmities, contentions, emulations, wraths, quarrels, dissensions, sects,

²¹ Envies, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like. Of the which I foretell you, as I have foretold to you, that they who do such things shall not obtain the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is, charity, joy, peace, patience, benignity, goodness, longanimity,

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, factions,

²¹ envies, murders, drinking bouts, revelries, and the like; which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, fits of anger, selfish ambition, dissentions, factions,

²¹ envyings, murders, drinking bouts, orgies, and the like; about which I am warning you beforehand, as, in fact, I did before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatred, rivalry, jealousy, anger, selfish ambition, dissension, heresy,

²¹ envy, drunkenness, feasting, and similar things. As I warned you before so I warn you again: nobody who behaves like this will inherit the kingdom of God.

²² But the Spirit produces fruit such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trust,

²⁰ Idolatrie, witchcraft, hatred, debate, emulations, wrath, contentions, seditions, heresies,

²¹ Enuie, murthers, drunkennesse, gluttonie, and such like, whereof I tell you before, as I also haue tolde you before, that they which doe such things, shall not inherite the kingdome of God.

²² But the fruite of the Spirit is loue, ioye, peace, long suffering, gentlenes, goodnes, fayth,

²⁰ idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

²¹ envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

²⁰ Some carve false things like spirit beings, they praise those things from their hearts, they do bad things to others with magic, they hate each other, they quarrel with each other, they become jealous of each other, they get angry quickly, they get overly proud, they separate from each other, they continually stay with their own mob,

²¹ they want other people'sbelongings, they get drunk, when they are drunk in a mob they get silly, they do bad things, they do all sorts of things like that. They continually do things like that with their self-centred spirit. Those ones that do those things will not live with God in his country. That's a true word. I have already told you seriously, now I am reminding you again: The ones who do those sorts of things won't stay with God.

²² Some people will still continually pay attention to God's Spirit. He will make them think another way, a good way. He prompts people to love each other, he makes them happy, he makes them calm, he makes them patient, he makes them good people, he makes them reliable,

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, hatreds, strife, rivalry, outbursts of wrath, cabals, divisions, factions,

²¹ envyings, drunkenness, revelings, and things like these; of which I tell you beforehand, as I also told you in time past, that they who practise such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, quarrels, strife, jealousy, outbursts of passion, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,

²¹ feelings of envy, drunkenness, revelry, and the like. And I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who indulge in such things will have no place in the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit produced by the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindliness, generosity, trustfulness, gentleness, self-control.

²⁰ idolatry, sorcery, quarrels, strife, jealousy, outbursts of passion, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,

²¹ feelings of envy, drunkenness, revelry, and the like. And I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who indulge in such things will have no place in the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit produced by the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindliness, generosity, trustfulness, gentleness, self-control.

²⁰ They respect the spirits that are not God. They try to get bad spirits to hurt other people. They hate other people, and they fight other people. They want to be like some other person, and if they can’t be, they hate that other person. They get very angry. They want to be more important than everybody else. They will not agree with other people, so they split off into separate groups.

²¹ They want things that belong to other people. They get drunk. They have wild parties and do all kinds of bad things. Listen, I’m telling you again what I told you before. People that keep doing these wrong things will never be in God’s family. They will never get the good things that God will give to his people in heaven.

²² But if God’s spirit controls people, he gets them to do good things, just like a fruit tree always gets good fruit on it. If you let God’s spirit lead you, he will get you to love God and to love other people. And you will feel good and settled inside yourself. He will help you wait quietly for other people. God’s spirit inside you will get you to be friendly with other people, and he will get you to do good things. He will make you the kind of person that other people can trust.

²¹ envy, drunkenness, drunken celebrations, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is charity, joy, peace, patience, long abiding, benignity, or good will, goodness, mildness, faith,

²⁰ service of false gods or serving of idols, witchcrafts, enmities, strivings or strives, indignations, wraths, chidings, dissensions, sects or heresies,

²¹ envies, manslayings, drunkennesses, unmeasurable eatings or gluttonies, and things like to these, which I say to you before, as I have told to you before, for they that do such things, shall not have the kingdom of God, (or for they who do such things, shall not possess the Kingdom of God).

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is charity (or love), joy, peace, patience, long abiding (or endurance), benignity, or good will, goodness, mildness (or meekness and humility), faith,

²⁰ idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, strifes, emulations, wraths, rivalries, dissensions, sects,

²¹ envyings, murders, drunkennesses, revellings, and such like, of which I tell you before, as I also said before, that those doing such things the reign of God shall not inherit.

²² And the fruit of the Spirit is: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
