³⁴ And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other?

³⁵ And Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this scripture, preached unto him Jesus.

³⁶ And as they went on the way, they came unto a certain water; and the eunuch saith, Behold, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

³⁴ And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

³⁶ And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

³⁴ And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other?

³⁵ And Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this scripture, preached unto him Jesus.

³⁶ And as they went on the way, they came unto a certain water; and the eunuch saith, Behold, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

³⁴ The official asked Philip about these words that he was reading, “Tell me, who was the prophet writing about? Was he writing about himself or about someone else?”

³⁵ So Philip began to explain that Scripture passage. He told him the good message about MTY Jesus. So the official understood and believed in Jesus.

³⁶ While they were traveling along the road, they came to a place where there was a pond of water near the road. Then the official said to Philip, “Look, there is a pond of water! ◄I would like you to baptize me, because I do not know of anything that would prevent me from being baptized {prevent you from baptizing me.}/Do you know of anything that would prevent me from being baptized {prevent you from baptizing me}?► RHQ”

³⁴ The eunuch answered Philip, “Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?”

³⁵ Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him about Jesus.

³⁶ As they went on the way, they came to some water; and the eunuch said, “Behold, here is water. What is keeping me from being baptized?”

³⁴ The eunuch answered Philip, “Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?”

³⁴ And the Ethiopian said to Philip, About whom are these words said by the prophet? about himself, or some other?

³⁵ So Philip, starting from this writing, gave him the good news about Jesus.

³⁶ And while they were going on their way, they came to some water, and the Ethiopian said, See, here is water; why may I not have baptism?

³⁴ And the eunuch answering Philip said, I pray thee, concerning whom does the prophet say this? of himself or of some other?

³⁵ And Philip, opening his mouth and beginning from that scripture, announced the glad tidings of Jesus to him.

³⁶ And as they went along the way, they came upon a certain water, and the eunuch says, Behold water; what hinders my being baptised?

³⁴ And the eunuch answering Philip, said: I beseech thee, of whom doth the prophet speak this? of himself, or of some other man?

³⁵ Then Philip, opening his mouth, and beginning at this scripture, preached unto him Jesus.

³⁶ Now as they were going down the road, they came upon some water. And the eunuch said, “Behold, here is water: what prevents me from being baptized?”

³⁴ So continuing the eunuch said to Philip, “I ask you, about whom does the prophet say this, about himself or about someone else?”

³⁵ So opening his mouth and beginning from this Scripture, Philip preached Jesus to him.

³⁶ Now as they were going down the road they came upon some water, and the eunuch said: “Look, water! What is keeping me from being baptized?”

³⁴ The eunuch asked Philip, “Tell me, who is the prophet talking about? Is it himself, or someone else?”

³⁵ Philip started explaining, beginning from this Scripture, telling him about Jesus.

³⁶ As they continued on, they came to a stretch of water. The eunuch said, “Look, there's water here—why shouldn't I be baptized?”

³⁴ Then the Eunuche answered Philippe, and saide, I pray thee of whome speaketh the Prophet this? of himselfe, or of some other man?

³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same Scripture, and preached vnto him Iesus.

³⁶ And as they went on their way, they came vnto a certaine water, and the Eunuche said, See, here is water: what doeth let me to be baptized?

³⁴ And the eunuch answered Philip, and said, I pray thee, of whom speaketh the prophet this? of himself, or of some other man?

³⁵ Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.

³⁶ And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

³⁴ “Now,” said the Treasurer, addressing Philip, “tell me, of whom is the prophet speaking? Of himself, or of someone else?”

³⁵ Then Philip began, and, taking this passage as his text, told him the good news about Jesus.

³⁶ Presently, as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the Treasurer exclaimed, “Look! Here is water; what is to prevent my being baptised?”

³⁴ “Now,” said the Treasurer, addressing Philip, “tell me, of whom is the prophet speaking? Of himself, or of someone else?”

³⁵ Then Philip began, and, taking this passage as his text, told him the good news about Jesus.

³⁶ Presently, as they were going along the road, they came to some water, and the Treasurer exclaimed, “Look! Here is water; what is to prevent my being baptized?”

³⁴ And the Ethiopian man said to Philip, “Who was Isaiah talking about? Was he talking about himself or somebody else?”

³⁵ Then Philip told him the meaning of those words in God’s book. And from there he kept on talking and told that Ethiopian man the good news about Jesus.

³⁶ They kept going along the road and came to some water. The Ethiopian man said, “Look. There is some water. Can you baptise me now?”

³⁴ The chamberlayne answered Philip and sayde: I praye the of whom speaketh the Prophet this? of him selfe or of some other man?

³⁵ And Philip opened his mouth and beganne at the same scripture and preached vnto him Iesus.

³⁶ And as they went on their waye they came vnto a certayne water and the chamberlayne sayde: Se here is water what shall let me to be baptised?

³⁴ So the eunuch asked Philip, and said, “I beg you, who is the prophet speaking about, himself, or someone else?”

³⁵ Philip began to speak, and beginning with this scripture he proclaimed the good news about Jesus to him.

³⁶ As they went on the road, they came to some water and the eunuch said, “Look, there is water here. What prevents me from being baptized?”

³⁴ And the gelding answered to Philip, and said, I beseech thee, of what prophet saith he this thing? of himself, or of any other?

³⁵ And Philip opened his mouth, and began at this scripture, and preached or evangelized to him Jesus.

³⁶ And while they went by the way, they came to a water or to some water. And the gelding said, Lo! water; who forbiddeth me to be baptized?

³⁴ And the gelding answered to Philip, and said (or And the eunuch said to Philip), I beseech thee, of what prophet saith he this thing? of himself, or of any other?

³⁵ And Philip opened his mouth, and began at this scripture, and preached or evangelized to him (about) Jesus.

³⁶ And while they went by the way, they came to a water or they came to some water. And the gelding said, Lo! water; who forbiddeth me to be baptized?

³⁴ And the eunuch answering Philip said, 'I pray thee, about whom doth the prophet say this? about himself, or about some other one?'

³⁵ and Philip having opened his mouth, and having begun from this Writing, proclaimed good news to him — Jesus.

³⁶ And as they were going on the way, they came upon a certain water, and the eunuch said, 'Lo, water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?'
