³ But Saul laid waste the church, entering into every house, and dragging men and women committed them to prison.

⁴ They therefore that were scattered abroad went about preaching the word.

⁵ And Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and proclaimed unto them the Christ.

⁶ And the multitudes gave heed with one accord unto the things that were spoken by Philip, when they heard, and saw the signs which he did.

⁷ For from many of those that had unclean spirits, they came out, crying with a loud voice: and many that were palsied, and that were lame, were healed.

⁸ And there was much joy in that city.

³ As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.

³ While the people were killing Stephen, Saul was there approving of their killing Stephen. So Saul also began trying to destroy the group of believers. He entered houses one by one, he dragged away men and women who believed in Jesus, and then he arranged for them to be put in prison.

⁴ The believers who had left Jerusalem went to different places, where they continued preaching the message about Jesus.

⁵ One of those believers whose name was Philip went down from Jerusalem to a city in Samaria province. There he was telling the people that Jesus is MTY the Messiah.

⁶ Many people there heard Philip speak and saw the miraculous things that he was doing. So they all ◄paid close attention to/listened carefully to► his words.

⁷ For example, when Philip commanded evil spirits who controlled many people that they should come out of them, they came out, while those spirits screamed. Also, many people who were paralyzed and many others who were lame were healed.

⁸ So many people MTY in that city greatly rejoiced.

³ But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into every house and dragged both men and women off to prison.

⁴ Therefore those who were scattered abroad went around preaching the word.

⁵ Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.

⁶ The multitudes listened with one accord to the things that were spoken by Philip when they heard and saw the signs which he did.

⁷ For unclean spirits came out of many of those who had them. They came out, crying with a loud voice. Many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed.

⁸ There was great joy in that city.

⁶ And all the people gave attention to the words which Philip said, when they saw the signs which he did.

⁷ For unclean spirits came out from those who had them, crying with a loud voice; and a number of those who were ill and broken in body were made well.

⁸ And there was much joy in that town.

³ But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into the houses one after another, and dragging off both men and women delivered them up to prison.

⁴ Those then that had been scattered went through the countries announcing the glad tidings of the word.

⁵ And Philip, going down to a city of Samaria, preached the Christ to them;

⁶ and the crowds with one accord gave heed to the things spoken by Philip, when they heard him and saw the signs which he wrought.

⁷ For from many who had unclean spirits they went out, crying with a loud voice; and many that were paralysed and lame were healed.

⁸ And there was great joy in that city.

³ But Saul was doing injury to the church, going in from house to house, and dragging away both men and women, and putting them in prison.

⁴ Therefore those who were scattered went about preaching the word.

⁵ And Philip, going down to a city of Samaria, was preaching to them the Christ.

⁶ And the crowds with one accord gave heed to the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the signs which he was doing.

⁷ For many of those having unclean spirits had cried out with a loud voice, and the spirits came out; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

⁸ And there was great joy in that city.

³ As for Saul, he was trying to destroy the Church; invading house after house and dragging away both men and women, he was putting them in prison.

⁴ So on their part those who were scattered abroad went about preaching the Word.

⁵ Now Philip, having gone down to a city of Samaria, was proclaiming the Christ to them;

⁶ and the crowds gave heed with one accord to what Philip was saying, as they heard the words and saw the signs that he kept performing.

⁷ Because unclean spirits came out screaming from many who had them, and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

⁸ Yes, there was great joy in that city!

³ But Saul set about destroying the church, going from house to house, dragging both men and women off to prison.

⁴ Those who had been scattered spread the word wherever they went.

⁵ Philip went to the town of Samaria, and told them about the Messiah.

⁶ When the crowds heard what Philip was saying and saw the miracles he did they all paid attention to what he was telling them.

⁷ Many were freed from possession by evil spirits that screamed as they came out, and many who were lame or disabled were healed.

⁸ The people who lived in the city were overjoyed.

³ But Saul made hauocke of the Church, and entred into euery house, and drewe out both men and women, and put them into prison.

⁴ Therefore they that were scattered abroad, went to and from preaching the worde.

⁵ Then came Philip into the citie of Samaria, and preached Christ vnto them.

⁶ And the people gaue heed vnto those things which Philippe spake, with one accorde, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.

⁷ For vncleane spirits crying with a loud voyce, came out of many that were possessed of them: and many taken with palsies, and that halted, were healed.

⁸ And there was great ioy in that citie.

⁴ Now those who were scattered in different directions went from place to place proclaiming the good news.

⁵ Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and there began to preach the Christ.

⁶ The people, one and all, listened attentively to what Philip told them, when they heard of, and saw, the miracles which he was working.

⁷ For there were many instances of people with foul spirits, where the spirits, with loud screams, came out of them;

⁸ and many who were paralysed or lame were cured, so that there was great rejoicing throughout that city.

³ But Saul began to devastate the church; he entered house after house, dragged out men and women alike, and threw them into prison.

⁴ Now those who were scattered in different directions went from place to place proclaiming the good news.

⁵ Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and there began to preach the Christ.

⁶ The people, one and all, listened attentively to what Philip told them, when they heard of, and saw, the miracles which he was working.

⁷ For there were many instances of people with foul spirits, where the spirits, with loud screams, came out of them;

⁸ and many who were paralyzed or lame were cured, so that there was great rejoicing throughout that city.

⁴ The Christians that ran away from Jerusalem went to a lot of different places, and they told people the good news about Jesus in all those places.

⁵ One of them was Philip. He went to the town called Samaria and told everyone, “Jesus is the special man that God promised to send.”

⁶ A lot of people listened to Philip and thought carefully about his message. And God gave him a lot of power. People saw him do powerful things and everyone knew that God was with him.

⁷ You see, a lot of people had bad spirits in them, and Philip used God’s power to throw those bad spirits out of them. Those bad spirits screamed as they left those people. Philip also used God’s power to make a lot of crippled and weak people better.

⁸ The people in that town were very happy.

³ But Saul made havocke of the congregacion entrynge into every housse and drewe out bothe man and woman and thrust the into preson.

⁴ They that were scattered abroade went every where preachyng the worde.

⁵ Then came Philip into a cite of Samaria and preached Christ vnto them.

⁶ And the people gave hede vnto those thinges which Philip spake with one acorde in that they hearde and sawe the miracles which he dyd.

⁷ For vnclene spretes cryinge with loude voyce came out of many that were possessed of them. And manye taken with palsies and many that halted were healed

⁸ And ther was great ioye in that cite.

³ But Saul greatly harmed the church; he went into house after house and dragged out men and women, and put them into prison.

⁴ Yet the believers who had been scattered went about proclaiming the word.

⁵ Philip went down to the city of Samaria and proclaimed to them the Christ.

⁶ When multitudes of people heard and saw the signs that Philip did, they paid attention together to what he said.

⁷ Unclean spirits came out of many who were possessed, crying out with a loud voice, and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

⁸ Therefore great joy was made in that city.

³ and Saul was making havoc of the assembly, into every house entering, and haling men and women, was giving them up to prison;

⁴ they then indeed, having been scattered, went abroad proclaiming good news — the word.

⁵ And Philip having gone down to a city of Samaria, was preaching to them the Christ,

⁶ the multitudes also were giving heed to the things spoken by Philip, with one accord, in their hearing and seeing the signs that he was doing,

⁷ for unclean spirits came forth from many who were possessed, crying with a loud voice, and many who have been paralytic and lame were healed,

⁸ and there was great joy in that city.
