Help us?

Acts 3:4-24 in American Standard Version (1901)

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him, with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something from them.
6 But Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but what I have, that give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and raised him up: and immediately his feet and his ankle-bones received strength.
8 And leaping up, he stood, and began to walk; and he entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10 and they took knowledge of him, that it was he that sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
11 And as he held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this man? or why fasten ye your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?
13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Servant Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied before the face of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.
14 But ye denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted unto you,
15 and killed the Prince of life; whom God raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.
16 And by faith in his name hath his name made this man strong, whom ye behold and know: yea, the faith which is through him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17 And now, brethren, I know that in ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers.
18 But the things which God foreshowed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he thus fulfilled.
19 Repent ye therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that so there may come seasons of refreshing from the presence of the Lord;
20 and that he may send the Christ who hath been appointed for you, even Jesus:
21 whom the heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, whereof God spake by the mouth of his holy prophets that have been from of old.
22 Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord God raise up unto you from among your brethren, like unto me; to him shall ye hearken in all things whatsoever he shall speak unto you.
23 And it shall be, that every soul that shall not hearken to that prophet, shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.
24 Yea and all the prophets from Samuel and them that followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days.

4 And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10 And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.
11 And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you.
23 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.
24 Yea, and all the prophets from Samuel and those that follow after, as many as have spoken, have likewise foretold of these days.

Acts 3:4-24 in Translation for Translators

4 As Peter and John looked directly at him, Peter said to him, “Look at us!”
5 So he looked directly at them, expecting to get some money from them.
6 Then Peter said to him, “I do not have any money MTY, but what I can do, I will do for you. Jesus Christ, who was from Nazareth town, has authorized MTY me to heal you! So get up and walk!”
7 Then Peter grasped the man's right hand and helped him to stand up. Immediately the man's feet and ankles became strong.
8 He jumped up and began to walk! Then he entered the Temple area with them, walking and leaping and praising God!
9 All the people there saw that man walking and praising God.
10 They recognized that he was the man who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate in the Temple courtyard and ask people for money! So all the people there were greatly amazed at what had happened to him.
11 As the man clung to Peter and John, all the people were so surprised that they did not know what to think So they ran to the two apostles at the place in the Temple courtyard that is called {that people call} Solomon's Porch.
12 When Peter saw that, he said to the crowd, “Fellow Israelites, ◄you should not be surprised about what has happened to this man!/why are you so surprised about what has happened to this man?► RHQ And you should not stare at us, either! You seem to RHQ think that the two of us enabled this man to walk because we (exc) ourselves are powerful or because we please God very much!
13 So I will tell you what is really happening. Our ancestors, including Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, worshipped God. And now he has greatly honored Jesus, who always served him. Your leaders brought Jesus to the governor, Pilate, so that his soldiers would kill him. And God considers that in front of Pilate you were the ones who rejected Jesus as your king, after Pilate had decided that he should release Jesus.
14 Although Jesus always did what was right/just and good, you rejected him. Pilate wanted to release him, but you urgently asked Pilate to release ◄a murderer/someone who had killed people►!
15 God considers that you killed Jesus, the one who gives people eternal life. But God has greatly honored him ◄by causing him to become alive again after he died/by raising him from the dead►. Many of us saw him after that, and now we (exc) are telling you about it.
16 It is because we two trusted in what Jesus MTY, PRS could do, that he made this man, whom you see and know, strong again. Yes, it is because we (exc) trusted in Jesus that he has completely healed this man for all of you to see.”
17 “Now, my fellow-countrymen, I know that you and your leaders did that to Jesus because you and they did not know that he was the Messiah.
18 However, your putting him to death was what God had predicted that people would do. Long ago he told all the prophets MTY to write what people would do to the Messiah. They wrote that the Messiah, whom God would send, would suffer and die.
19 So, turn away from your sinful behavior and ask God to help you do what pleases him, in order that he may completely forgive you for your sins.
20 If you do that, there will be times when you will know that the Lord God is helping you. And some day he will again send back to earth the Messiah, whom he appointed for you. That person is Jesus.
21 Jesus must stay in heaven until the time when God will cause all that he has created to become new. Long ago God promised to do that, and he chose holy prophets to tell that to people.
22 For example, the prophet Moses said this about the Messiah: ‘The Lord ◄your God/the God whom you worship► will cause someone to become a prophet to tell you God's message. God will send him as he sent me, and he will be from among your own people. You must listen to everything that this prophet tells you and obey him SYN.
23 Those who do not listen to that prophet and obey him will no longer belong to God's people, and God will get rid of them’.”
24 Peter continued, “All the prophets have told about what would happen during the time MTY in which we(inc) are living. Those prophets include Samuel and all the others who later also spoke about these events before they happened.

Acts 3:4-24 in Bible in Basic English

4 And Peter, looking at him, with John, said, Keep your eyes on us.
5 And he gave attention to them, hoping to get something from them.
6 But Peter said, I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up on your feet.
7 And he took him by his right hand, lifting him up; and straight away his feet and the bones of his legs became strong,
8 And, jumping up, he got on to his feet and went into the Temple with them, walking and jumping and giving praise to God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:
10 And they saw that it was the man who made requests for money at the door of the Temple, and they were full of wonder and surprise at what had taken place.
11 And while he kept his hands on Peter and John, all the people came running together to the covered way which is named Solomon's, full of wonder.
12 And when Peter saw it he said to the people, You men of Israel, why are you so greatly surprised at this man? or why are you looking at us as if by our power or virtue we had given him the use of his legs?
13 The God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has given glory to his servant Jesus; whom you gave up, turning your backs on him, when Pilate had made the decision to let him go free.
14 But you would have nothing to do with the Holy and Upright One, and made request for a man of blood to be given to you,
15 And put to death the Lord of life; whom God gave back from the dead; of which fact we are witnesses.
16 And his name, through faith in his name, has made this man strong, whom you see and have knowledge of: yes, the faith which is through him has made him well, before you all.
17 And now, my brothers, I am conscious that you did this, as did your rulers, without knowledge.
18 But the things which God had made clear before, by the mouth of all the prophets, that the Christ would have to undergo, he has put into effect in this way.
19 So then, let your hearts be changed and be turned to God, so that your sins may be completely taken away, and times of blessing may come from the Lord;
20 And that he may send the Christ who was marked out for you from the first, even Jesus:
21 Who is to be kept in heaven till the time when all things are put right, of which God has given word by the mouth of his holy prophets, who have been from the earliest times.
22 For Moses said, The Lord will give you a prophet from among your people, like me; you will give ear to everything which he will say to you.
23 And every soul who does not give attention to that prophet, will be cut off from among the people.
24 And all the prophets from Samuel and those who came after, every one of them, gave word of these days.

4 And Peter, looking stedfastly upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them.
6 But Peter said, Silver and gold I have not; but what I have, this give I to thee: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean rise up and walk.
7 And having taken hold of him by the right hand he raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones were made strong.
8 And leaping up he stood and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

12 And Peter, seeing it, answered the people, Men of Israel, why are ye astonished at this? or why do ye gaze on us as if we had by our own power or piety made him to walk?
13 The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he had judged that he should be let go.
14 But ye denied the holy and righteous one, and asked that a man that was a murderer should be granted to you;
15 but the originator of life ye slew, whom God raised from among the dead, whereof we are witnesses.
16 And, by faith in his name, his name has made this man strong whom ye behold and know; and the faith which is by him has given him this complete soundness in the presence of you all.
17 And now, brethren, I know that ye did it in ignorance, as also your rulers;
18 but God has thus fulfilled what he had announced beforehand by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer.
19 Repent therefore and be converted, for the blotting out of your sins, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
20 and he may send Jesus Christ, who was foreordained for you,
21 whom heaven indeed must receive till the times of the restoring of all things, of which God has spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets since time began.
22 Moses indeed said, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up to you out of your brethren like me: him shall ye hear in everything whatsoever he shall say to you.

17 And now, brethren, I know that you did it through ignorance, as did also your rulers.
18 But those things which God before had shewed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled.
19 Be penitent, therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out.
20 That when the times of refreshment shall come from the presence of the Lord, and he shall send him who hath been preached unto you, Jesus Christ,
21 Whom heaven indeed must receive, until the times of the restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of his holy prophets, from the beginning of the world.
22 For Moses said: A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me: him you shall hear according to all things whatsoever he shall speak to you.
23 And it shall be, that every soul which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people.

4 And looking intently on him, Peter together with John, said, “Look at us.”
5 And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them.
6 But Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but that which I do have, I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk.”
7 And taking hold of him by his right hand, he raised him; and immediately his feet and ankles were strengthened.
8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
10 Then they recognized that this was the one sitting for the alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with astonishment and amazement because of that which had happened to him.
11 And while the lame man who had been healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, utterly astonished.
12 So when Peter saw this, he replied to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?
13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you indeed delivered up and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.

15 and killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead, of which we are witnesses.

17 “And now, brothers, I know that you acted in ignorance, as your rulers did also.
18 But those things which God announced beforehand by the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.
19 Repent therefore and turn back, that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
20 and that He may send He who had been ordained to be your Messiah, Jesus,
21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

Acts 3:4-24 in The New Testament with Commentary

4 So Peter, with John, fastening his gaze on him said, “Look at us.”
5 So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.
6 But Peter said: “I do not have silver and gold, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Natsorean, get up and walk!”
7 And grasping him by his right hand he lifted him up; immediately his feet and ankles were strengthened.
8 So jumping up he stood, and began to walk! And he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.
9 Well all the people saw him walking and praising God;
10 and they recognized him—that he was the one who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, with a view to alms—and they were filled with wonder and amazement because of what had happened to him.
11 Now as the lame man who had been healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the portico, the one called ‘Solomon's’, really wondering.
12 So upon observing this Peter responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why are you marveling at this, or why are you staring at us as if we have made him walk by our own power or godliness?
13 The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up; and you repudiated Him to Pilate's face, when he was intending to release Him.
14 Yes you repudiated the holy and righteous One, and you asked that a murderer be granted to you,
15 while you killed the Originator of the Life, whom God raised from among the dead, to which we are witnesses.
16 Well His name, based on faith in His name, made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith that is through Him has given him this wholeness in the presence of you all.
17 “So now, brothers, I know that you did it in ignorance, as also your rulers.
18 But the things that God foretold through the mouth of all His prophets, that the Messiah would suffer, He has thus fulfilled.
19 Repent therefore, and turn around, so that your sins may be erased, in order that times of refreshing may come from the Lord's face
20 and that He may send Jesus, who had been ordained to be your Messiah,
21 whom Heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, of which times God spoke long ago by the mouth of all His holy prophets.
22 “For example, Moses said to the fathers: ‘The Lord our God will raise up for you a Prophet, like me, from among your brothers. You must listen to Him, in all that He may say to you.
23 It will be that every person who will not listen to that Prophet will be extirpated from among the people.’
24 “Yes and all the prophets, from Samuel on down, as many as have spoken, have also foretold these days.

4 Peter looked right at him. John did, too. “Look at us!” Peter said.
5 The lame man gave them his full attention, expecting to get something from them.
6 “I don't have any silver or gold,” Peter told him, “but I'll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!”
7 Peter took him by the right hand and helped him up. Right away his feet and ankles became strong.
8 He jumped to his feet, and then began to walk. He went with them into the Temple, walking and jumping and praising God.
9 Everyone there saw him walking around and praising God.
10 They recognized him as the beggar who used to sit by the Temple's Beautiful Gate, and they were surprised and amazed at what had happened to him.
11 He held on tightly to Peter and John while everyone ran to them by Solomon's Porch in complete astonishment at what had happened.
12 When Peter saw this opportunity he told them, “People of Israel, why are you surprised at what's happened to this man? Why are you staring at us as if it was by our own power or faith that we made him walk?
13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—the God of our forefathers—has glorified his servant Jesus. He was the one you betrayed and rejected in the presence of Pilate, even after Pilate had decided to release him.
14 You rejected the one who is holy and good, and demanded a murderer be released to you.
15 You killed the author of life, the one God raised from the dead—and we are witnesses to this.
16 By trusting in Jesus' name this man was healed by him. You see this man here; you know him. Through trusting in Jesus this man has received complete healing right in front of all of you.
17 Now I know, brothers and sisters, that you did this in ignorance, like your rulers.
18 But God fulfilled what he had prophesied through all the prophets: that his Messiah would suffer.
19 Now repent, and change your ways, that your sins can be wiped away, so the Lord can send opportunities for you to heal and recover,
20 and send Jesus, the Messiah appointed for you.
21 For he must stay in heaven until the time when everything is restored, as God announced through his holy prophets long ago.
22 Moses said, ‘The Lord God will send you a prophet from among your own people who is like me. You must listen to everything he tells you.
23 Anybody who doesn't listen to him will be totally removed from the people.’
24 All the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel on, prophesied about these days.

Acts 3:4-24 in Plain English Version

4 Peter and John looked straight at the man, and Peter said, “Look at us.”
5 So the man looked at them. He thought, “I reckon these 2 will give me some money.”
6 But Peter said, “I haven’t got any money. No silver. No gold. But I have got something good for you. Jesus Christ, the man from Nazareth, has the power to make you better, so I’m talking to you with his power, and I tell you, get up and walk.”
7 Then Peter grabbed the man’s right hand and helped him to stand up. Straight away the man’s feet and ankles got strong.
8 He jumped up and started to walk around. He went with Peter and John into the yard of God’s ceremony house. That man was walking and jumping around and telling everyone that God is really great and really good.
9 All the people that were there saw him walking and they heard him telling them that God is really great.
10 They knew he was the man that used to sit near the Beautiful Gate and ask them for money, and they were really surprised. They thought, “How did this happen to him?”
11 The man didn’t want to let Peter and John go away. They were at a place in God’s house called Solomon’s shade area. All the people were really surprised, and they ran to that place.
12 Peter saw them and said to them, “Hey, all you Israel people, why are you surprised like this? Why are you looking at us? Do you think that we are really powerful and we made this man walk? Do you think that we are so good that we can do that? No. We are not.
13 God made this man better, so that everyone will know Jesus is really great. But you mob grabbed Jesus and gave him to the soldiers, for them to kill him. The judge, called Pilate, he wanted to let him go free, but all you mob kept shouting, ‘No, don’t let Jesus go. You have to kill him. You have to let another man go free instead, even though he is a murderer.’ Jesus was a properly good man that lived God’s way, but you said he wasn’t. But Jesus was God’s special workman, and God made him come alive again and God made him really powerful. This is the same God that our grand-fathers of a long time ago respected. They were called Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob.
15 So you killed Jesus, the one that gives life to people. But God made him alive again. Yes, both of us saw him alive again with our own eyes.
16 Now you are looking at this man here and you know he used to be crippled. But we believed that Jesus can make him better, so Jesus made him better. You mob saw that with your own eyes.”
17 Peter kept talking to them, he said, “My friends, I know you and your leaders didn’t understand about Jesus. You mob didn’t know he was the one that God sent to us.
18 But a long time ago God told his men to write about Jesus, and it is in God’s book. They said that God was going to send his special man, and that people were going to kill him. And now God has made all that happen.
19 So listen. You mob have to change the way you live and turn back to God, so that he will not blame you or pay you back for the bad things you did.
20 Then God will make your spirits happy and strong. You see, God picked Jesus to be his special man for you. Jesus will stay in heaven until the right time comes for God to make everything new and right again. Then God will send Jesus to you again. God told everyone about this a long time ago, and he got his men to write about it in his book.
22 One of those men was Moses. He said, ‘God, the one that is your God, he picked me to tell you his messages, and just like that he will pick one of your own people later to be his special man, to tell you his messages. You have to listen to everything that man tells you.
23 If anyone will not listen to him, that person will not belong to God’s people, and he will die.’
24 Samuel was another of God’s men a long time ago. He also told people that all these things were going to happen. And all God’s other men that came later, they told people the same story.

15 and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses.
16 By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.
17 “Now, brothers, I know that you did this in ignorance, as did also your rulers.

22 For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.
23 It will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.’
24 Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, also told of these days.

4 Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.”

6 But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”
7 He took him by the right hand and raised him up. Immediately his feet and his ankle bones received strength.
8 Leaping up, he stood and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.

12 When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?

4 And Peter fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.
5 And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them.
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have I give thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
9 And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

11 And as the lame man who was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.
12 And when Peter saw it , he answered to the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
13 The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord,
20 And he will send Jesus Christ, who before was preached to you:
21 Whom the heaven must receive, until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets, since the world began.

4 And Peter with John beheld on him, and said, Behold thou into us.
5 And he beheld into them, and hoped, that he should take somewhat or something of them.
6 But Peter said, I have neither silver nor gold; but that that I have, I give to thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up, and go.

9 And all the people saw him walking, and praising God.
10 And they knew him, that he it was that sat at alms at the Fair Gate of the temple. And they were filled with wondering, and astonishing, in that thing that befelled to him.
11 But when they saw Peter and John, all the people ran to them at the porch that was called of Solomon, and wondered greatly.
12 And Peter saw, and answered to the people, Men of Israel, what wonder ye in this thing? either what behold ye us, as by our virtue, either power, either piety, we made this man for to walk?
13 God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, and God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus, whom ye betrayed, and denied before the face of Pilate, when he deemed him to be delivered.
14 But ye denied the holy and the rightful or just man, and asked a manslayer to be given to you.
15 And ye slew the maker of life, whom God raised from death, of whom we be witnesses.
16 And in the faith of his name he hath confirmed this man, whom ye see and know; the name of him, and the faith that is by him, gave to this man full healing or full health in the sight of all you.
17 And now, brethren, I wot that by unwitting ye did, as also your princes.
18 But God that before-told by the mouth of all prophets, that his Christ should suffer, hath fulfilled so.

Acts 3:4-24 in Young's Literal Translation

4 And Peter, having looked stedfastly toward him with John, said, 'Look toward us;'
5 and he was giving heed to them, looking to receive something from them;
6 and Peter said, 'Silver and gold I have none, but what I have, that I give to thee; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and be walking.'
7 And having seized him by the right hand, he raised him up, and presently his feet and ankles were strengthened,
8 and springing up, he stood, and was walking, and did enter with them into the temple, walking and springing, and praising God;
9 and all the people saw him walking and praising God,
10 they were knowing him also that this it was who for a kindness was sitting at the Beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what hath happened to him.
11 And at the lame man who was healed holding Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch called Solomon's — greatly amazed,
12 and Peter having seen, answered unto the people, 'Men, Israelites! why wonder ye at this? or on us why look ye so earnestly, as if by our own power or piety we have made him to walk?
13 'The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, did glorify His child Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, he having given judgment to release him,
14 and ye the Holy and Righteous One did deny, and desired a man — a murderer — to be granted to you,
15 and the Prince of the life ye did kill, whom God did raise out of the dead, of which we are witnesses;
16 and on the faith of his name, this one whom ye see and have known, his name made strong, even the faith that is through him did give to him this perfect soundness before you all.
17 'And now, brethren, I have known that through ignorance ye did it, as also your rulers;
18 and God, what things before He had declared through the mouth of all His prophets, that the Christ should suffer, He did thus fulfil;
19 reform ye, therefore, and turn back, for your sins being blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
20 and He may send Jesus Christ who before hath been preached to you,
21 whom it behoveth heaven, indeed, to receive till times of a restitution of all things, of which God spake through the mouth of all His holy prophets from the age.
22 'For Moses, indeed, unto the fathers said — A prophet to you shall the Lord your God raise up out of your brethren, like to me; him shall ye hear in all things, as many as he may speak unto you;
23 and it shall be, every soul that may not hear that prophet shall be utterly destroyed out of the people;
24 and also all the prophets from Samuel and those following in order, as many as spake, did also foretell of these days.
