⁴ And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him, with John, said, Look on us.

⁵ And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something from them.

⁶ But Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but what I have, that give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.

⁷ And he took him by the right hand, and raised him up: and immediately his feet and his ankle-bones received strength.

⁸ And leaping up, he stood, and began to walk; and he entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

¹⁰ and they took knowledge of him, that it was he that sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

¹¹ And as he held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

¹² And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this man? or why fasten ye your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Servant Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied before the face of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.

¹⁴ But ye denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted unto you,

⁴ And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

¹⁰ And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him.

¹¹ And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

¹² And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.

¹⁴ But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

⁴ And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him, with John, said, Look on us.

¹² And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this man? or why fasten ye your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Servant Jesus; whom ye delivered up, and denied before the face of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.

¹⁴ But ye denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted unto you,

⁴ As Peter and John looked directly at him, Peter said to him, “Look at us!”

⁵ So he looked directly at them, expecting to get some money from them.

⁶ Then Peter said to him, “I do not have any money MTY, but what I can do, I will do for you. Jesus Christ, who was from Nazareth town, has authorized MTY me to heal you! So get up and walk!”

⁷ Then Peter grasped the man's right hand and helped him to stand up. Immediately the man's feet and ankles became strong.

⁸ He jumped up and began to walk! Then he entered the Temple area with them, walking and leaping and praising God!

⁹ All the people there saw that man walking and praising God.

¹⁰ They recognized that he was the man who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate in the Temple courtyard and ask people for money! So all the people there were greatly amazed at what had happened to him.

¹¹ As the man clung to Peter and John, all the people were so surprised that they did not know what to think So they ran to the two apostles at the place in the Temple courtyard that is called {that people call} Solomon's Porch.

¹² When Peter saw that, he said to the crowd, “Fellow Israelites, ◄you should not be surprised about what has happened to this man!/why are you so surprised about what has happened to this man?► RHQ And you should not stare at us, either! You seem to RHQ think that the two of us enabled this man to walk because we (exc) ourselves are powerful or because we please God very much!

¹³ So I will tell you what is really happening. Our ancestors, including Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, worshipped God. And now he has greatly honored Jesus, who always served him. Your leaders brought Jesus to the governor, Pilate, so that his soldiers would kill him. And God considers that in front of Pilate you were the ones who rejected Jesus as your king, after Pilate had decided that he should release Jesus.

¹⁴ Although Jesus always did what was right/just and good, you rejected him. Pilate wanted to release him, but you urgently asked Pilate to release ◄a murderer/someone who had killed people►!

⁴ Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.”

⁵ He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.

⁶ But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”

⁸ Leaping up, he stood and began to walk. He entered with them into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.

¹² When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.

¹⁴ But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.

¹⁴ But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you,

⁴ And Peter, looking at him, with John, said, Keep your eyes on us.

⁵ And he gave attention to them, hoping to get something from them.

⁶ But Peter said, I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up on your feet.

⁷ And he took him by his right hand, lifting him up; and straight away his feet and the bones of his legs became strong,

⁸ And, jumping up, he got on to his feet and went into the Temple with them, walking and jumping and giving praise to God.

⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God:

¹⁰ And they saw that it was the man who made requests for money at the door of the Temple, and they were full of wonder and surprise at what had taken place.

¹¹ And while he kept his hands on Peter and John, all the people came running together to the covered way which is named Solomon's, full of wonder.

¹² And when Peter saw it he said to the people, You men of Israel, why are you so greatly surprised at this man? or why are you looking at us as if by our power or virtue we had given him the use of his legs?

¹³ The God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has given glory to his servant Jesus; whom you gave up, turning your backs on him, when Pilate had made the decision to let him go free.

¹⁴ But you would have nothing to do with the Holy and Upright One, and made request for a man of blood to be given to you,

⁴ And Peter, looking stedfastly upon him with John, said, Look on us.

⁵ And he gave heed to them, expecting to receive something from them.

⁶ But Peter said, Silver and gold I have not; but what I have, this give I to thee: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazaraean rise up and walk.

⁷ And having taken hold of him by the right hand he raised him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones were made strong.

⁸ And leaping up he stood and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God;

¹⁰ and they recognised him, that it was he who sat for alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

¹¹ And as he held Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the portico which is called Solomon's, greatly wondering.

¹² And Peter, seeing it, answered the people, Men of Israel, why are ye astonished at this? or why do ye gaze on us as if we had by our own power or piety made him to walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he had judged that he should be let go.

¹⁴ But ye denied the holy and righteous one, and asked that a man that was a murderer should be granted to you;

⁴ But Peter with John fastening his eyes upon him, said: Look upon us.

⁵ But he looked earnestly upon them, hoping that he should receive something of them.

⁶ But Peter said: Silver and gold I have none; but what I have, I give thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, arise, and walk.

⁷ And taking him by the right hand, he lifted him up, and forthwith his feet and soles received strength.

⁸ And he leaping up, stood, and walked, and went in with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God.

¹⁰ And they knew him, that it was he who sat begging alms at the Beautiful gate of the temple: and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened to him.

¹¹ And as he held Peter and John, all the people ran to them to the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.

¹² But Peter seeing, made answer to the people: Ye men of Israel, why wonder you at this? or why look you upon us, as if by our strength or power we had made this man to walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus, whom you indeed delivered up and denied before the face of Pilate, when he judged he should be released.

¹⁴ But you denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you.

⁴ And looking intently on him, Peter together with John, said, “Look at us.”

⁵ And he fixed his attention on them, expecting to receive something from them.

⁶ But Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but that which I do have, I give to you: In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk.”

⁷ And taking hold of him by his right hand, he raised him; and immediately his feet and ankles were strengthened.

⁸ So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping, and praising God.

⁹ And all the people saw him walking and praising God.

¹⁰ Then they recognized that this was the one sitting for the alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with astonishment and amazement because of that which had happened to him.

¹¹ And while the lame man who had been healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon's, utterly astonished.

¹² So when Peter saw this, he replied to the people: “Men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? Or why look so intently at us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him to walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you indeed delivered up and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release Him.

¹⁴ But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked that a murderer be released to you,

⁴ So Peter, with John, fastening his gaze on him said, “Look at us.”

⁵ So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them.

⁶ But Peter said: “I do not have silver and gold, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ the Natsorean, get up and walk!”

⁷ And grasping him by his right hand he lifted him up; immediately his feet and ankles were strengthened.

⁸ So jumping up he stood, and began to walk! And he entered the temple with them, walking and leaping and praising God.

⁹ Well all the people saw him walking and praising God;

¹⁰ and they recognized him—that he was the one who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, with a view to alms—and they were filled with wonder and amazement because of what had happened to him.

¹¹ Now as the lame man who had been healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the portico, the one called ‘Solomon's’, really wondering.

¹² So upon observing this Peter responded to the people: “Men of Israel, why are you marveling at this, or why are you staring at us as if we have made him walk by our own power or godliness?

¹³ The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up; and you repudiated Him to Pilate's face, when he was intending to release Him.

¹⁴ Yes you repudiated the holy and righteous One, and you asked that a murderer be granted to you,

⁴ Peter looked right at him. John did, too. “Look at us!” Peter said.

⁵ The lame man gave them his full attention, expecting to get something from them.

⁶ “I don't have any silver or gold,” Peter told him, “but I'll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk!”

⁷ Peter took him by the right hand and helped him up. Right away his feet and ankles became strong.

⁸ He jumped to his feet, and then began to walk. He went with them into the Temple, walking and jumping and praising God.

⁹ Everyone there saw him walking around and praising God.

¹⁰ They recognized him as the beggar who used to sit by the Temple's Beautiful Gate, and they were surprised and amazed at what had happened to him.

¹¹ He held on tightly to Peter and John while everyone ran to them by Solomon's Porch in complete astonishment at what had happened.

¹² When Peter saw this opportunity he told them, “People of Israel, why are you surprised at what's happened to this man? Why are you staring at us as if it was by our own power or faith that we made him walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—the God of our forefathers—has glorified his servant Jesus. He was the one you betrayed and rejected in the presence of Pilate, even after Pilate had decided to release him.

¹⁴ You rejected the one who is holy and good, and demanded a murderer be released to you.

⁴ And Peter earnestly beholding him with Iohn, said, Looke on vs.

⁵ And hee gaue heede vnto them, trusting to receiue some thing of them.

⁶ Then said Peter, Siluer and gold haue I none, but such as I haue, that giue I thee: In the Name of Iesus Christ of Nazareth, rise vp and walke.

⁷ And hee tooke him by the right hand, and lift him vp, and immediately his feete and ankle bones receiued strength.

⁸ And he leaped vp, stoode, and walked, and entred with them into the Temple, walking and leaping, and praysing God.

⁹ And all the people sawe him walke, and praysing God.

¹⁰ And they knewe him, that it was he which sate for the almes at the Beautifull gate of the Temple: and they were amased, and sore astonied at that, which was come vnto him.

¹¹ And as the creeple which was healed, held Peter and Iohn, all the people ranne amased vnto them in the porch which is called Salomons.

¹² So when Peter saw it, he answered vnto the people, Ye me of Israel, why marueile ye at this? or why looke ye so stedfastly on vs, as though by our owne power or godlines, we had made this man go?

¹³ The God of Abraham, and Isaac, and Iacob, the God of our fathers hath glorified his Sonne Iesus, whom ye betrayed, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had iudged him to be deliuered.

¹⁴ But ye denied the Holy one and the Iust, and desired a murtherer to be giuen you,

⁴ And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.

⁵ And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.

⁶ Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

¹⁰ and they recognized him as the man that sat for alms at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened to him.

¹¹ And as he held fast to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon's greatly wondering.

¹² But Peter seeing it, answered the people: Men of Israel, why wonder ye at this? Or why look ye earnestly on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made this man to walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified his servant Jesus, whom ye indeed delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to release him.

¹⁴ But ye denied the holy and righteous one, and asked that a murderer should be granted to you.

⁴ Peter fixed his eyes on him, and so did John, and then Peter said, “Look at us.”

⁵ The man was all attention, expecting to get something from them;

⁶ but Peter added, “I have no gold or silver, but I give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk.”

⁷ Grasping the lame man by the right hand, Peter lifted him up. Instantly the man's feet and ankles became strong,

⁸ and, leaping up, he stood and began to walk about, and then went with them into the Temple Courts, walking, and leaping, and praising God.

⁹ All the people saw him walking about and praising God;

¹⁰ and, when they recognised him as the man who used to sit begging at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple, they were utterly astonished and amazed at what had happened to him.

¹¹ While the man still clung to Peter and John, the people all quickly gathered around them in the Colonnade named after Solomon, in the greatest astonishment.

¹² On seeing this, Peter said to the people, “People of Israel, why are you surprised at this? And why do you stare at us, as though we, by any power or piety of our own, had enabled this man to walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has done honour to his servant Jesus — him whom you gave up and disowned before Pilate, when he had decided to set him free.

¹⁴ You, I say, disowned the holy and righteous one, and asked for the release of a murderer!

⁴ Peter fixed his eyes on him, and so did John, and then Peter said, “Look at us.”

⁵ The man was all attention, expecting to get something from them;

⁶ but Peter added, “I have no gold or silver, but I give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk.”

¹¹ While the man still clung to Peter and John, the people all quickly gathered around them in the Colonnade named after Solomon, in the greatest astonishment.

¹² On seeing this, Peter said to the people, “People of Israel, why are you surprised at this? And why do you stare at us, as though we, by any power or piety of our own, had enabled this man to walk?

¹³ The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our ancestors, has done honor to his servant Jesus — him whom you gave up and disowned before Pilate, when he had decided to set him free.

¹⁴ You, I say, disowned the holy and righteous one, and asked for the release of a murderer!

⁴ Peter and John looked straight at the man, and Peter said, “Look at us.”

⁵ So the man looked at them. He thought, “I reckon these 2 will give me some money.”

⁶ But Peter said, “I haven’t got any money. No silver. No gold. But I have got something good for you. Jesus Christ, the man from Nazareth, has the power to make you better, so I’m talking to you with his power, and I tell you, get up and walk.”

⁷ Then Peter grabbed the man’s right hand and helped him to stand up. Straight away the man’s feet and ankles got strong.

⁸ He jumped up and started to walk around. He went with Peter and John into the yard of God’s ceremony house. That man was walking and jumping around and telling everyone that God is really great and really good.

⁹ All the people that were there saw him walking and they heard him telling them that God is really great.

¹⁰ They knew he was the man that used to sit near the Beautiful Gate and ask them for money, and they were really surprised. They thought, “How did this happen to him?”

¹¹ The man didn’t want to let Peter and John go away. They were at a place in God’s house called Solomon’s shade area. All the people were really surprised, and they ran to that place.

¹² Peter saw them and said to them, “Hey, all you Israel people, why are you surprised like this? Why are you looking at us? Do you think that we are really powerful and we made this man walk? Do you think that we are so good that we can do that? No. We are not.

¹³ God made this man better, so that everyone will know Jesus is really great. But you mob grabbed Jesus and gave him to the soldiers, for them to kill him. The judge, called Pilate, he wanted to let him go free, but all you mob kept shouting, ‘No, don’t let Jesus go. You have to kill him. You have to let another man go free instead, even though he is a murderer.’ Jesus was a properly good man that lived God’s way, but you said he wasn’t. But Jesus was God’s special workman, and God made him come alive again and God made him really powerful. This is the same God that our grand-fathers of a long time ago respected. They were called Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob.

⁴ And Peter fastened his eyes on him with Iohn and sayde: looke on vs.

⁵ And he gaue hede vnto the trustinge to receave somthinge of them.

⁶ Then sayd Peter: Silver and golde have I none suche as I have geve I the. In the name of Iesu Christ of Nazareth ryse vp and walke.

⁷ And he toke him by the right honde and lifte him vp. And immediatly his fete and ancle bones receaved strenght.

⁸ And he sprage stode and also walked and entred with them into the temple walkinge and leapinge and laudynge God.

⁹ And all the people sawe him walke and laude God.

¹⁰ And they knewe him that it was he which sate and begged at the beutifull gate of the temple. And they wondred and were sore astonnyed at that which had happened vnto him.

¹¹ And as the halt which was healed helde Peter and Iohn all the people ranne amased vnto them in Salomons porche.

¹² When Peter sawe that he answered vnto the people. Ye men of Israel why marvayle ye at this or why looke ye so stedfastly on vs as though by oure awne power or holynes we had made this man goo?

¹³ The God of Abraham Isaac and Iacob the God of oure fathers hath glorified his sonne Iesus whom ye delyvered and denyed in the presence of Pylate when he had iudged him to be lowsed.

¹⁴ But ye denyed the holy and iust and desyred a mortherar to be geven you

⁴ Peter, fastening his eyes upon him, with John, said, “Look at us.”

⁵ The lame man looked at them, expecting to receive something from them.

⁶ But Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have, I will give to you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”

⁷ Taking him by the right hand, Peter raised him up, and immediately the man's feet and ankle were made strong.

⁸ Leaping up, the lame man stood and began to walk; and he entered with Peter and John into the temple, walking, leaping, and praising God.

⁹ All the people saw him walking and praising God.

¹⁰ They noticed that it was the man who had been asking people for a gift of money at the Beautiful Gate of the temple; and they were filled with wonder and amazement because of what had happened to him.

¹¹ As he was holding on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly marveling.

¹² When Peter saw this, he answered the people, “You men of Israel, why do you marvel? Why do you fix your eyes on us, as if we had made him to walk by our own power or godliness?

¹³ The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. He is the one whom you delivered up and rejected before the face of Pilate, when he had decided to release him.

¹⁴ You rejected the Holy and Righteous One, and you asked instead for a murderer to be released to you.

⁴ Peter, fastening his eyes on him, with John, said, “Look at us.”

⁵ He listened to them, expecting to receive something from them.

⁶ But Peter said, “I have no silver or gold, but what I have, that I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, get up and walk!”

¹⁰ And they knew him, that he it was that sat at alms at the Fair Gate of the temple. And they were filled with wondering, and astonishing, in that thing that befelled to him.

¹¹ But when they saw Peter and John, all the people ran to them at the porch that was called of Solomon, and wondered greatly.

¹² And Peter saw, and answered to the people, Men of Israel, what wonder ye in this thing? either what behold ye us, as by our virtue, either power, either piety, we made this man for to walk?

¹³ God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, and God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus, whom ye betrayed, and denied before the face of Pilate, when he deemed him to be delivered.

¹⁴ But ye denied the holy and the rightful or just man, and asked a manslayer to be given to you.

⁴ And Peter with John beheld on him, and said, or Forsooth Peter with John beholding him, said, Behold thou into us. (And Peter and John looked at him, and Peter said, Look at us.)

⁵ And he beheld into them, and hoped, that he should take somewhat or something of them. (And he looked at them, and hoped that he would receive something from them.)

⁶ But Peter said, I have neither silver nor gold; but that that I have, I give to thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up, and go.

¹⁰ And they knew him, that he it was that sat at alms at the fair gate of the temple, (or And they knew him, that it was he who sat at the Beautiful Gate of the Temple begging for money). And they were filled with wondering, and astonishing, in that thing that befelled to him.

¹¹ But when they saw Peter and John, all the people ran to them at the porch that was called of Solomon (or that was named for Solomon), and wondered greatly.

¹² And Peter saw, and answered to the people, Men of Israel, what wonder ye in this thing? either what behold ye us, as (if) by our (own) virtue, either power, we made this man for to walk? +or as (if) by our virtue, either piety, we make this man to walk? (And Peter saw them, and said to the people, Israelites, why wonder ye at this thing? or why look at us, as if by our own power, we made this man to walk?)

¹³ God of Abraham, and God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, and God of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Jesus, whom ye betrayed, and denied before the face of Pilate, when he deemed him to be delivered, or left, (or to be let go), (or when he judged him, and would have released him).

¹⁴ But ye denied the holy and the rightful (man), or Ye forsooth denied the holy and just man, and asked (for) a manslayer to be given to you. (But ye rejected this holy and just man, and asked for a murderer to be given to you.)

⁴ And Peter, having looked stedfastly toward him with John, said, 'Look toward us;'

⁵ and he was giving heed to them, looking to receive something from them;

⁶ and Peter said, 'Silver and gold I have none, but what I have, that I give to thee; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and be walking.'

⁷ And having seized him by the right hand, he raised him up, and presently his feet and ankles were strengthened,

⁸ and springing up, he stood, and was walking, and did enter with them into the temple, walking and springing, and praising God;

⁹ and all the people saw him walking and praising God,

¹⁰ they were knowing him also that this it was who for a kindness was sitting at the Beautiful gate of the temple, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what hath happened to him.

¹¹ And at the lame man who was healed holding Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch called Solomon's — greatly amazed,

¹² and Peter having seen, answered unto the people, 'Men, Israelites! why wonder ye at this? or on us why look ye so earnestly, as if by our own power or piety we have made him to walk?

¹³ 'The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, did glorify His child Jesus, whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, he having given judgment to release him,

¹⁴ and ye the Holy and Righteous One did deny, and desired a man — a murderer — to be granted to you,
