Acts 2:42-47 in English

⁴² And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and the prayers.

⁴³ And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

⁴⁴ And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

⁴⁵ and they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all, according as any man had need.

⁴⁶ And day by day, continuing stedfastly with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread at home, they took their food with gladness and singleness of heart,

⁴⁷ praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to them day by day those that were saved.

⁴² They continually obeyed what the apostles taught, and they very frequently met together with the other believers. And they continually ate together and celebrated the Lord's Supper, and continually prayed together.

⁴³ All the people SYN who were in Jerusalem were greatly revering God because the apostles were frequently doing many kinds of miraculous things.

⁴⁴ All of those who believed in Jesus were united and regularly met together. They were also sharing everything that they had with one another.

⁴⁵ From time to time some of them sold some of their land and some of the other things that they owned, and they would give some of the money from what they sold to others among them, according to what they needed.

⁴⁶ Every day they continued meeting together in the temple area. And every day they gladly and generously shared their food SYN with each other, as they ate together and celebrated the Lord's Supper in their houses.

⁴⁷ As they did so, they were praising God, and all the other people in Jerusalem were thinking favorably about them. As those things were happening, every day the Lord Jesus increased the number of people who were being saved {whom he was saving} from the guilt of their sins.

⁴² They continued steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and prayer.

⁴³ Fear came on every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles.

⁴⁴ All who believed were together, and had all things in common.

⁴⁵ They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need.

⁴⁴ And all those who were of the faith kept together, and had all things in common;

⁴⁵ And exchanging their goods and property for money, they made division of it among them all, as they had need.

⁴⁶ And day by day, going in agreement together regularly to the Temple and, taking broken bread together in their houses, they took their food with joy and with true hearts,

⁴⁷ Giving praise to God, and having the approval of all the people; and every day the number of those who had salvation was increased by the Lord.

⁴² And they persevered in the teaching and fellowship of the apostles, in breaking of bread and prayers.

⁴³ And fear was upon every soul, and many wonders and signs took place through the apostles' means.

⁴⁴ And all that believed were together, and had all things common,

⁴⁵ and sold their possessions and substance, and distributed them to all, according as any one might have need.

⁴⁶ And every day, being constantly in the temple with one accord, and breaking bread in the house, they received their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

⁴⁷ praising God, and having favour with all the people; and the Lord added to the assembly daily those that were to be saved.

⁴² And they were persevering in the doctrine of the apostles, and in the communication of the breaking of bread, and in prayers.

⁴³ And fear came upon every soul: many wonders also and signs were done by the apostles in Jerusalem, and there was great fear in all.

⁴⁵ Their possessions and goods they sold, and divided them to all, according as every one had need.

⁴⁷ praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding to the church daily those who were being saved.

⁴² And they continued steadfastly in the Apostles' teaching and in the fellowship, both in the breaking of the bread and in the prayers.

⁴³ Fear came upon every soul—many wonders and signs were taking place through the Apostles.

⁴⁴ Now all who believed were together and had all things in common;

⁴⁵ they started selling both possessions and goods and were distributing to all according as anyone had need.

⁴⁶ So day by day they continued steadfastly with one purpose in the temple and broke bread from house to house; they received their share of food with gladness and singleness of heart,

⁴⁷ praising God and having favor with all the people. And day by day the Lord added to the Church those who were being saved.

⁴² They committed themselves to what the apostles had taught them, and to the fellowship of the believers, “breaking bread” and praying together.

⁴³ Everyone was in awe, and many miracles and signs were done through the apostles.

⁴⁴ All the believers were together and shared everything they had.

⁴⁵ They sold their property and belongings, sharing the proceeds with everyone as they needed.

⁴⁶ Day after day they continued to meet together in the Temple, and ate together in their homes. They enjoyed their meals humbly and happily. They praised God, and everyone thought favorably of them.

⁴⁷ Every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

⁴² And they continued in the Apostles doctrine, and fellowship, and breaking of bread, and prayers.

⁴³ And feare came vpon euery soule: and many wonders and signes were done by ye Apostles.

⁴⁴ And all that beleeued, were in one place, and had all things common.

⁴⁵ And they sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all me, as euery one had need.

⁴⁶ And they continued dayly with one accord in the Temple, and breaking bread at home, did eate their meate together with gladnesse and singlenesse of heart,

⁴⁷ Praysing God, and had fauour with all the people: and the Lord added to the Church from day to day, such as should be saued.

⁴⁶ And attending daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread in a private house, they partook of their food with gladness and singleness of heart,

⁴⁷ praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were in the way of salvation.

⁴² They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the Common life of the church, to the breaking of the bread and to the Prayers.

⁴³ A deep impression was made on everyone, and many wonders and signs were done at the hands of the apostles.

⁴⁴ All who became believers in Christ held everything for the common use;

⁴⁵ they sold their property and their goods, and shared the proceeds amongst them all, according to their individual needs.

⁴⁶ Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the Temple Courts, and to the breaking of bread at their homes, while they partook of their food in simple-hearted gladness, praising God, and winning the goodwill of all the people.

⁴⁷ And the Lord daily added to their company those who were in the path of salvation.

⁴² They devoted themselves to the teaching of the apostles and to the Common life of the church, to the breaking of the bread and to the Prayers.

⁴³ A deep impression was made on everyone, and many wonders and signs were done at the hands of the apostles.

⁴⁴ All who became believers in Christ held everything for the common use;

⁴⁵ they sold their property and their goods, and shared the proceeds among them all, according to their individual needs.

⁴⁶ Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the Temple Courts, and to the breaking of bread at their homes, while they partook of their food in simple-hearted gladness, praising God, and winning the goodwill of all the people.

⁴⁷ And the Lord daily added to their company those who were in the path of salvation.

⁴² They all kept meeting together with the Christians and they listened to everything the close followers of Jesus taught them. They were like a big family. They had meals together and remembered that Jesus died for them, and they prayed together to God.

⁴³ God gave power to the close followers of Jesus and they did powerful things. So all the people really respected God.

⁴⁴ The people that believed in Jesus met together and shared all the things they had with each other all the time.

⁴⁵ Some of them sold the things they owned and then gave that money to other people that needed it.

⁴⁶ They all met together every day in the yard of God’s ceremony house. And they met together in each other’s houses too, to eat meals and remember that Jesus died for them. They were all very happy and good to each other.

⁴⁷ Those people praised God and told others that he is really good. All the people in Jerusalem thought those people that believed in Jesus were good people. And God saved more people every day, and they joined the other people that believed in Jesus.

⁴² And they continued in the Apostles doctrine and felloushippe and in breakinge of breed and in prayer.

⁴³ And feare came over every soule. And many wondres and signes were shewed by the Apostles.

⁴⁴ And all that beleved kept them selves to gedder and had all thinges commen

⁴⁵ and solde their possessions and goodes and departed them to all men as every man had nede.

⁴⁶ And they continued dayly with one acorde in the temple and brake breed in every housse and dyd eate their meate to gedder with gladnes and singlenes of hert

⁴⁷ praysinge God and had faveour with all the people. And the Lorde added to the congregacion dayly soche as shuld be saved.

⁴² They continued in the apostles' teaching and fellowship, in the breaking of bread and in prayers.

⁴⁴ All who believed were together and had all things in common,

⁴⁵ and they sold their property and possessions and distributed them to all, according to the needs anyone had.

⁴³ And dread was made to each man. And many wonders and signs were done by the apostles in Jerusalem, and great dread was in all. (And there was fearful reverence in each man. And many wonders and miracles were done by the apostles in Jerusalem, and great and fearful reverence was in all.)

⁴⁴ And all that believed were together, and had all things (in) common.

⁴⁵ They sold (their) possessions and chattel, or substances, or goods, and parted those things to all men, as it was need(ful) to each. (They sold their possessions and goods, and divided those things to everyone, as it was needed by each person.)

⁴⁶ And each day they dwelled stably with one will in the temple, and brake bread about houses (or and broke bread in their houses), and took meat (or meals) with full out joy or with gladness and simpleness of heart,

⁴⁷ praising God, and having favour with all the people, and the Lord was adding those being saved every day to the assembly.
