Acts 27:5-8 in English

⁵ And when we had sailed across the sea which is off Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.

⁶ And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing for Italy; and he put us therein.

⁷ And when we had sailed slowly many days, and were come with difficulty over against Cnidus, the wind not further suffering us, we sailed under the lee of Crete, over against Salmone;

⁸ and with difficulty coasting along it we came unto a certain place called Fair Havens; nigh whereunto was the city of Lasea.

⁵ And when we had sailed over the sea of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.

⁶ And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing into Italy; and he put us therein.

⁷ And when we had sailed slowly many days, and scarce were come over against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under Crete, over against Salmone;

⁸ And, hardly passing it, came unto a place which is called The fair havens; nigh whereunto was the city of Lasea.

⁵ And when we had sailed across the sea which is off Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.

⁶ And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing for Italy; and he put us therein.

⁷ And when we had sailed slowly many days, and were come with difficulty over against Cnidus, the wind not further suffering us, we sailed under the lee of Crete, over against Salmone;

⁸ and with difficulty coasting along it we came unto a certain place called Fair Havens; nigh whereunto was the city of Lasea.

⁵ After that, we crossed over the sea close to the coast of Cilicia and Pamphylia provinces. The ship arrived at Myra city, which is in Lycia province. We got off the ship there.

⁶ In Myra, people told Julius that a ship was there that had come from Alexandria city and would soon sail to Italy. So he arranged for us to get on that ship, and we left.

⁷ We sailed slowly for several days and finally arrived close to the coast of Asia province, near Cnidus town. After that, the wind was very strong and did not allow the ship to move straight ahead westward. So instead, we sailed southward along the side of Crete Island that is sheltered from the wind, and we passed near Cape Salmone.

⁸ The wind was still strong, and it prevented the ship from moving ahead fast. So we moved slowly along the coast of Crete, and we arrived at a harbor that was called Fair Havens, near Lasea town.

⁵ When we had sailed across the sea which is off Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.

⁶ There the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing for Italy, and he put us on board.

⁷ When we had sailed slowly many days, and had come with difficulty opposite Cnidus, the wind not allowing us further, we sailed under the lee of Crete, opposite Salmone.

⁸ With difficulty sailing along it we came to a certain place called Fair Havens, near the city of Lasea.

⁷ And when we had gone on slowly for a long time, and had had hard work getting across to Cnidus, for the wind was against us, we went under cover of Crete, in the direction of Salmone;

⁸ And sailing down the side of it, as well as we were able, we came to a certain place named Fair Havens, near which was the town of Lasea.

⁵ And having sailed over the waters of Cilicia and Pamphylia we came to Myra in Lycia:

⁶ and there the centurion having found a ship of Alexandria sailing to Italy, he made us go on board her.

⁷ And sailing slowly for many days, and having with difficulty got abreast of Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under the lee of Crete abreast of Salmone;

⁸ and coasting it with difficulty we came to a certain place called Fair Havens, near to which was the city of Lasaea.

⁵ And sailing over the sea of Cilicia, and Pamphylia, we came to Lystra, which is in Lycia:

⁶ And there the centurion finding a ship of Alexandria sailing into Italy, removed us into it.

⁷ And when for many days we had sailed slowly, and were scarce come over against Gnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed near Crete by Salmone:

⁸ And with much ado sailing by it, we came into a certain place, which is called Good-havens, nigh to which was the city of Thalassa.

⁵ And having sailed across the sea which is off Cilicia and Pamphylia, we docked at Myra, in Lycia.

⁶ And there the centurion found an Alexandrian ship sailing to Italy, and he put us aboard in it.

⁷ And sailing slowly many days, and with difficulty arriving down off Cnidus, since the wind would not permit us to go on, we sailed under the sheltered side of Crete, down off Salmone.

⁸ And with difficulty sailing past it, we came to a place called Fair Havens, near the city of Lasea.

⁵ And when we had sailed across the sea that is off Cilicia and Pamphylia, we landed at Myra in Lycia.

⁶ There the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing for Italy and put us on board.

⁷ When we had sailed slowly many days and scarcely arrived opposite Cnidus, the wind did not allow us to go forward, so we sailed for the lee of Crete by way of Salmone;

⁸ sailing along it with difficulty we came to a certain place called Fair Havens, near the town of Lasea.

⁵ Then we sailed directly across the open sea off the coast of Cilicia and Pamphylia, arriving at the port of Myra in Lycia.

⁶ There the centurion found a ship from Alexandria that would be sailing to Italy, and arranged for us to join it.

⁷ We sailed slowly for several days and eventually arrived off Cnidus. But since the winds wouldn't allow us to continue we sailed across to the lee of Crete, near to Salmone.

⁸ With some difficulty we made our way along the coast until we arrived at a place called Fair Havens, near to the town of Lasea.

⁵ Then sayled we ouer the sea by Cilicia, and Pamphilia, and came to Myra, a citie in Lycia.

⁶ And there the Centurion found a ship of Alexandria, sayling into Italie, and put vs therein.

⁷ And when we had sayled slowly many dayes, and scarce were come against Gnidum, because the winde suffered vs not, we sailed hard by Candie, neere to Salmone,

⁸ And with much adoe sayled beyond it, and came vnto a certaine place called the Faire hauens, neere vnto the which was the citie Lasea.

⁵ And when we had sailed over the sea of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.

⁶ And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria sailing into Italy; and he put us therein.

⁷ And when we had sailed slowly many days, and scarce were come over against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under Crete, over against Salmone;

⁸ and, hardly passing it, came unto a place which is called The fair havens; nigh whereunto was the city of Lasea.

⁶ And there the centurion, finding a ship of Alexandria about to sail for Italy, put us on board of it.

⁷ And sailing slowly some days, and having with difficulty arrived over against Cnidus, the wind not permitting us to put in, we sailed under Crete, over against Salmone;

⁸ and coasting along it with difficulty we came to a place called Fair Havens, near which was the city Lasea.

⁵ and, after crossing the sea of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we reached Myra in Lycia.

⁶ There the Roman officer found an Alexandrian ship on her way to Italy, and put us on board of her.

⁷ For several days our progress was slow, and it was only with difficulty that we arrived off Cnidus. As the wind was still unfavorable when we came off Cape Salmone, we sailed under the lee of Crete,

⁸ and with difficulty, by keeping close in shore, we reached a place called ‘Fair Havens,’ near which was the town of Lasea.

⁵ and, after crossing the sea of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we reached Myra in Lycia.

⁶ There the Roman officer found an Alexandrian ship on her way to Italy, and put us on board of her.

⁷ For several days our progress was slow, and it was only with difficulty that we arrived off Cnidus. As the wind was still unfavorable when we came off Cape Salmone, we sailed under the lee of Crete,

⁵ Then we crossed over the sea close to the coast of Cilicia country and Pamphylia country, and we came to a town called Myra, in Lycia country. Then we got off the ship there and looked for another ship to take us to Rome.

⁶ In Myra, people told Julius, “There is another ship here that came from the town called Alexandria, and it is going to sail to Italy country.” So Julius took us to that other ship, and we got on it, and we left Myra.

⁷ We sailed slowly for a few days and then we came close to the coast of Asia country, near a town called Cnidus. After that the wind got very strong. It didn’t let the ship sail straight ahead toward the west, so we sailed toward the south. We sailed along the south side of Crete Island to get away from the wind. We went past Cape Salmone.

⁸ The wind was still strong, so the ship couldn’t sail properly, and we went slowly along the coast of Crete Island until we came to a place called Fair Havens Harbour, near a town called Lasea.

⁵ Then sayled we over the see of Cilicia and Pamphylia and came to Myra a cite in Lycia.

⁶ And there the vnder captayne founde a shippe of Alexander redy to sayle into Italy and put vs therin.

⁷ And when we had sayled slowly many dayes and scace were come over agaynst Gnydon (because the wynde with stode vs) we sayled harde by the costes of Candy over agaynste Salmo

⁸ and with moche worke sayled beyonde that and came vnto a place called good porte. Nye whervnto was a citie called Lasea.

⁵ Then we had sailed across the sea and were near the coast of Cilicia and Pamphylia, we landed at Myra, a city of Lycia.

⁶ There, the centurion found a ship from Alexandria that was going to sail to Italy. He put us in it.

⁷ When we had sailed slowly for many days and had finally arrived with difficulty near Cnidus, the wind no longer allowed us to go that way, so we sailed along the sheltered side of Crete, opposite Salmone.

⁸ We sailed along the coast with difficulty, until we came to a certain place called Fair Havens, which is near the city of Lasea.

⁵ When we had sailed across the sea which is off Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myra, a city of Lycia.

⁸ And hardly passing it, came to a place which is called, The fair havens; nigh to which was the city of Lasea.

⁸ And scarcely we sailed beside, and came into a place, that is called of good haven, to whom the city Lasea was nigh.

⁵ And we sailed in the sea of Cilicia and Pamphylia, and came to Lystra, that is Lycia.

⁶ And there the centurion found a ship of Alexandria, sailing into Italy, and putted us over into it.

⁷ And when in many days we sailed slowly, and scarcely came against Cnidus, for the wind hindered us, we sailed to Crete, beside Salmone.

⁸ And scarcely we sailed beside, and came into a place, that is called of good haven, to whom the city Lasea was nigh.

⁵ and having sailed over the sea over-against Cilicia and Pamphylia, we came to Myria of Lycia,

⁶ and there the centurion having found a ship of Alexandria, sailing to Italy, did put us into it,

⁷ and having sailed slowly many days, and with difficulty coming over-against Cnidus, the wind not suffering us, we sailed under Crete, over-against Salmone,

⁸ and hardly passing it, we came to a certain place called 'Fair Havens,' nigh to which was the city of Lasaea.
