⁴ But the multitude of the city was divided; and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

⁵ And when there was made an onset both of the Gentiles and of the Jews with their rulers, to treat them shamefully and to stone them,

⁶ they became aware of it, and fled unto the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the region round about:

⁴ But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

⁵ And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,

⁶ They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:

⁴ But the multitude of the city was divided; and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

⁵ And when there was made an onset both of the Gentiles and of the Jews with their rulers, to entreat them shamefully, and to stone them,

⁶ they became aware of it, and fled unto the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the region round about:

⁴ The people who lived in Iconium city strongly disagreed with each other concerning the message about Jesus . Some of them agreed with the Jews SYN who did not believe that message . Others agreed with Paul and Barnabas.

⁵ Then the non-Jewish people and the Jewish leaders SYN who opposed those two talked among themselves about how they could mistreat them. Some of the important men in that city agreed to help them. Together, they decided that they would kill Paul and Barnabas by throwing stones at them.

⁶ But Paul and Barnabas heard about that, so they quickly went away to Lycaonia district. They went to Lystra and Derbe cities in that district and to the area surrounding those cities.

⁵ When some of both the Gentiles and the Jews, with their rulers, made a violent attempt to mistreat and stone them,

⁶ they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra, Derbe, and the surrounding region.

⁴ But there was a division among the people of the town; some were on the side of the Jews and some on the side of the Apostles.

⁵ And when a violent attempt was made by the Gentiles and the Jews, with their rulers, to make an attack on them and have them stoned,

⁶ Having got news of it, they went in flight to the towns of Lycaonia, Lystra, and Derbe, and the country round about:

⁴ And the multitude of the city was divided, and some were with the Jews and some with the apostles.

⁵ And when an assault was making, both of those of the nations and the Jews with their rulers, to use them ill and stone them,

⁶ they, being aware of it, fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding country,

⁴ And the multitude of the city was divided; and some of them indeed held with the Jews, but some with the apostles.

⁵ And when there was an assault made by the Gentiles and the Jews with their rulers, to use them contumeliously, and to stone them:

⁶ They understanding it, fled to Lystra, and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the whole country round about, and were there preaching the gospel.

⁵ But when a plot was hatched by both Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to mistreat and stone them,

⁶ they became aware of it and escaped to the cities of Lycaonia—Lystra, Derbe and the surrounding area—

⁴ The inhabitants of the town were divided, with some supporting the Jews and some the apostles.

⁵ But then the foreigners and the Jews, together with their leaders, decided to attack and stone Paul and Barnabas.

⁶ However, they found out about it and fled to the region of Lycaonia, to the towns of Lystra and Derbe,

⁵ and, when there was an attempt on the part of both Gentiles and Jews, with their leaders, to resort to violence and to stone them,

⁶ the apostles heard of it, and took refuge in Lystra and Derbe, towns in Lycaonia, and in the district around,

⁴ But the townspeople were divided, some siding with the Jews, some with the apostles;

⁵ and, when there was an attempt on the part of both Gentiles and Jews, with their leaders, to resort to violence and to stone them,

⁶ the apostles heard of it, and took refuge in Lystra and Derbe, towns in Lycaonia, and in the district around,

⁴ The people of Iconium split up into 2 mobs. One mob reckoned Paul and Barnabas were right and the other mob reckoned the Jews that didn’t believe in Jesus were right.

⁵ Then some of those people, and their leaders, talked with each other about hurting Paul and Barnabas and killing them with stones. Some of that mob were Jews, and some were not Jews.

⁶ But somebody told Paul and Barnabas what they wanted to do, so Paul and Barnabas ran away to the country called Lycaonia. They went to the towns called Lystra and Derbe, and to the country around those towns,

⁴ The people of the cyte were devided: and parte helde with the Iewes and parte with the Apostles.

⁵ When ther was a saute made both of the gentyls and also of the Iewes with their rulers to put them to shame and to stone them

⁶ they were ware of it and fled vnto Listra and Derba cities of Licaonia and vnto the region that lyeth round aboute

⁴ But the majority of the city was divided: some people sided with the Jews, and some with the apostles.

⁵ When both Gentiles and Jews attempted to persuade their leaders to mistreat and stone Paul and Barnabas,

⁶ they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding region,
