Acts 14:3-6 in English

³ Long time therefore they tarried there speaking boldly in the Lord, who bare witness unto the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

⁴ But the multitude of the city was divided; and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

⁵ And when there was made an onset both of the Gentiles and of the Jews with their rulers, to treat them shamefully and to stone them,

⁶ they became aware of it, and fled unto the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the region round about:

³ Long time therefore abode they speaking boldly in the Lord, which gave testimony unto the word of his grace, and granted signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

⁴ But the multitude of the city was divided: and part held with the Jews, and part with the apostles.

⁵ And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and also of the Jews with their rulers, to use them despitefully, and to stone them,

⁶ They were ware of it, and fled unto Lystra and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and unto the region that lieth round about:

³ So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there speaking boldly for the Lord, and the Lord Jesus enabled them to do many miracles. In this way he showed people that the message about how the Lord saves us in a way that we do not deserve is true.

⁴ The people who lived in Iconium city strongly disagreed with each other concerning the message about Jesus . Some of them agreed with the Jews SYN who did not believe that message . Others agreed with Paul and Barnabas.

⁵ Then the non-Jewish people and the Jewish leaders SYN who opposed those two talked among themselves about how they could mistreat them. Some of the important men in that city agreed to help them. Together, they decided that they would kill Paul and Barnabas by throwing stones at them.

⁶ But Paul and Barnabas heard about that, so they quickly went away to Lycaonia district. They went to Lystra and Derbe cities in that district and to the area surrounding those cities.

³ Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who testified to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

⁴ But there was a division among the people of the town; some were on the side of the Jews and some on the side of the Apostles.

⁵ And when a violent attempt was made by the Gentiles and the Jews, with their rulers, to make an attack on them and have them stoned,

⁶ Having got news of it, they went in flight to the towns of Lycaonia, Lystra, and Derbe, and the country round about:

³ They stayed therefore a good while, speaking boldly, confiding in the Lord, who gave witness to the word of his grace, giving signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

⁴ And the multitude of the city was divided, and some were with the Jews and some with the apostles.

⁵ And when an assault was making, both of those of the nations and the Jews with their rulers, to use them ill and stone them,

⁶ they, being aware of it, fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding country,

³ A long time therefore they abode there, dealing confidently in the Lord, who gave testimony to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

⁴ And the multitude of the city was divided; and some of them indeed held with the Jews, but some with the apostles.

⁵ And when there was an assault made by the Gentiles and the Jews with their rulers, to use them contumeliously, and to stone them:

⁶ They understanding it, fled to Lystra, and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and to the whole country round about, and were there preaching the gospel.

³ Therefore they spent a considerable time there, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, giving signs and wonders to take place by their hands.

⁴ And the multitude of the city was divided: and some were with the Jews, and others with the apostles.

⁵ And when an attempt was made by both the Gentiles and the Jews, together with their rulers, to mistreat and to stone them,

⁶ they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and to the surrounding region.

³ Even so they stayed there a considerable time, speaking boldly for the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, giving signs and wonders to take place by their hands.

⁴ Well the population of the city became divided; some sided with the Jews, others with the apostles.

⁵ But when a plot was hatched by both Gentiles and Jews, with their rulers, to mistreat and stone them,

⁶ they became aware of it and escaped to the cities of Lycaonia—Lystra, Derbe and the surrounding area—

³ Paul and Barnabas stayed there a long time, speaking to them boldly in the Lord, who confirmed their message of grace through the miraculous signs that they were enabled to perform.

⁴ The inhabitants of the town were divided, with some supporting the Jews and some the apostles.

⁵ But then the foreigners and the Jews, together with their leaders, decided to attack and stone Paul and Barnabas.

⁶ However, they found out about it and fled to the region of Lycaonia, to the towns of Lystra and Derbe,

³ So therefore they abode there a long time, and spake boldly in the Lord, which gaue testimonie vnto the woord of his grace, and caused signes and woders to be done by their hands.

⁴ But the multitude of the city was deuided: and some were with the Iewes, and some with the Apostles.

⁵ And when there was an assault made both of the Gentiles, and of the Iewes with their rulers, to doe them violence, and to stone them,

⁶ They were ware of it, and fled vnto Lystra, and Derbe, cities of Lycaonia, and vnto the region round about,

⁶ they became aware of it, and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the neighboring country;

³ Therefore Paul and Barnabas spent a long time there, and spoke out fearlessly, relying on the Lord, who confirmed the message of his love by permitting signs and wonders to take place at their hands.

⁴ But the townspeople were divided, some siding with the Jews, some with the apostles;

⁵ and, when there was an attempt on the part of both Gentiles and Jews, with their leaders, to resort to violence and to stone them,

⁶ the apostles heard of it, and took refuge in Lystra and Derbe, towns in Lycaonia, and in the district around,

³ Therefore Paul and Barnabas spent a long time there, and spoke out fearlessly, relying on the Lord, who confirmed the message of his love by permitting signs and wonders to take place at their hands.

⁴ But the townspeople were divided, some siding with the Jews, some with the apostles;

⁵ and, when there was an attempt on the part of both Gentiles and Jews, with their leaders, to resort to violence and to stone them,

⁶ the apostles heard of it, and took refuge in Lystra and Derbe, towns in Lycaonia, and in the district around,

⁴ The people of Iconium split up into 2 mobs. One mob reckoned Paul and Barnabas were right and the other mob reckoned the Jews that didn’t believe in Jesus were right.

⁵ Then some of those people, and their leaders, talked with each other about hurting Paul and Barnabas and killing them with stones. Some of that mob were Jews, and some were not Jews.

⁶ But somebody told Paul and Barnabas what they wanted to do, so Paul and Barnabas ran away to the country called Lycaonia. They went to the towns called Lystra and Derbe, and to the country around those towns,

³ Longe tyme a bode they there and quyt them selves boldly with the helpe of the Lorde the which gave testimony vnto the worde of his grace and caused signes and wondres to be done by their hondes.

⁴ The people of the cyte were devided: and parte helde with the Iewes and parte with the Apostles.

⁵ When ther was a saute made both of the gentyls and also of the Iewes with their rulers to put them to shame and to stone them

⁶ they were ware of it and fled vnto Listra and Derba cities of Licaonia and vnto the region that lyeth round aboute

³ So they stayed there for a long time, speaking boldly with the Lord's power, while he gave evidence about the message of his grace. He did this by granting signs and wonders to be done by the hands of Paul and Barnabas.

⁴ But the majority of the city was divided: some people sided with the Jews, and some with the apostles.

⁵ When both Gentiles and Jews attempted to persuade their leaders to mistreat and stone Paul and Barnabas,

⁶ they became aware of it and fled to the cities of Lycaonia, Lystra and Derbe, and the surrounding region,

³ Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who testified to the word of his grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.

⁶ they understood, and fled together to the cities of Lycaonia, and Lystra, and Derbe, and into all the country about.
