Acts 14:21-24 in English

²¹ And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, and to Iconium, and to Antioch,

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.

²³ And when they had appointed for them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they had believed.

²⁴ And they passed through Pisidia, and came to Pamphylia.

²¹ And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

²² Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

²³ And when they had ordained them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, on whom they believed.

²⁴ And after they had passed throughout Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.

²⁴ And they passed through Pisidia, and came to Pamphylia.

²¹ They stayed there several days and they kept telling the people the good message about Jesus. Many people became believers. After that, Paul and Barnabas started on their way back. They went again to Lystra. Then they went from there to Iconium, and then they went to Antioch in Pisidia province.

²² In each city, they helped the believers SYN to become strong spiritually, and they urged them to keep on trusting in the Lord Jesus. They told the believers, “It is necessary that we endure people often persecuting us (inc) before we enter the place where God will rule over us forever.”

²³ Paul and Barnabas appointed leaders for each congregation. And before Paul and Barnabas left each town, they gathered the believers together and spent some time praying and ◄fasting/not eating any food►. Then Paul and Barnabas entrusted the leaders and other believers to the Lord Jesus, in whom they had believed, in order that he would care for them.

²⁴ After Paul and Barnabas had traveled through Pisidia district, they went south to Pamphylia district.

²¹ When they had preached the Good News to that city and had made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch,

²² strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that through many afflictions we must enter into God’s Kingdom.

²³ When they had appointed elders for them in every assembly, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord on whom they had believed.

²⁴ They passed through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia.

²¹ And having made a number of disciples through the preaching of the good news in that town, they went back to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch,

²² Making strong the souls of the disciples, saying to them that they were to keep the faith, and that we have to go through troubles of all sorts to come into the kingdom of God.

²³ And when they had made selection of some to be rulers in every church, and had given themselves to prayer and kept themselves from food, they put them into the care of the Lord in whom they had faith.

²⁴ And they went through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia.

²¹ And having announced the glad tidings to that city, and having made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, and Iconium, and Antioch,

²² establishing the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to abide in the faith, and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.

²³ And having chosen them elders in each assembly, having prayed with fastings, they committed them to the Lord, on whom they had believed.

²⁴ And having passed through Pisidia they came to Pamphylia,

²¹ Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith: and that through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.

²² And when they had ordained to them priests in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord, in whom they believed.

²³ And passing through Pisidia, they came into Pamphylia.

²⁴ And having spoken the word of the Lord in Perge, they went down into Attalia:

²¹ And having preached the gospel to that city and having made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, and Iconium, and Antioch,

²² strengthening the souls of the disciples, urging them to continue in the faith, saying, “Through many tribulations we must enter into the kingdom of God.”

²³ And having chosen elders for them in every church, and having prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.

²⁴ And having crossed Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia.

²¹ When they had evangelized that city and discipled a good number, they returned to Lystra and Iconium and Antioch,

²² strengthening the souls of the disciples, exhorting them to continue in the faith, and saying, “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.”

²³ When they had appointed elders for them in every congregation, having prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord into whom they had believed.

²⁴ After going through Pisidia, they came to Pamphilia.

²¹ After sharing the good news with the people in that town, and after many had become believers, they went back to Lystra, Iconium, and Antioch.

²² They encouraged the believers to remain firm and to continue to trust in Jesus. “We have to go through many trials to enter God's kingdom,” they said.

²³ After they had appointed elders for every church, and had prayed and fasted with them, Paul and Barnabas left them in the Lord's care, the one that they trusted in.

²⁴ They passed through Pisidia, and arrived in Pamphylia.

²¹ And after they had preached the glad tidings of the Gospel to that citie, and had taught many, they returned to Lystra, and to Iconium, and to Antiochia,

²² Confirming the disciples hearts, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, affirming that we must through many afflictions enter into the kingdome of God.

²³ And when they had ordeined them Elders by election in euery Church, and prayed, and fasted, they commended them to the Lord in whome they beleeued.

²⁴ Thus they went throughout Pisidia, and came to Pamphylia.

²¹ And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

²² reassuring the minds of the disciples, urging them to remain true to the faith, and showing that it is only through many troubles that we can enter the kingdom of God.

²³ They also appointed elders for them in every church, and, after prayer and fasting, commended them to the Lord in whom they had learned to believe.

²⁴ Paul and Barnabas then went through Pisidia, and came into Pamphylia,

²¹ Paul and Barnabas told the people there the good news about Jesus, and a lot of people believed in him. After that Paul and Barnabas went back to Lystra, and to Iconium, and to Antioch in Pisidia country.

²² In each of those towns they talked to the Christians and said, “Keep on believing in Jesus and don’t turn back from him. Some people will keep making big trouble for all of us Christians, but don’t worry, Jesus is with us. We are in God’s family now.”

²³ Then Paul and Barnabas picked leaders for the Christians in each church. After that they stopped eating for a while and prayed for those leaders. They prayed, “Jesus, our leader, these men believe in you now, so we ask you to look after them all the time.”

²⁴ Then Paul and Barnabas left that place and went through that Pisidia country and they came to the country called Pamphylia.

²¹ After they had preached to that cite and had taught many they returned agayne to Lisira and to Iconium and Antioche

²² and strengthed the disciples soules exhortinge them to continue in the faith affyrminge that we must thorowe moche tribulacion entre into the kyngdome of God.

²³ And when they had ordened them elders by eleccion in every congregacion after they had yrayde and fasted they comended them to God on whom they beleved.

²⁴ And they went thorow out Pisidia and came into Paphilia

²¹ After they had proclaimed the gospel in that city and made many disciples, they returned to Lystra, to Iconium, and to Antioch.

²² They kept strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith, saying, “We must enter into the kingdom of God through many sufferings.”

²³ When they had appointed for them elders in every church, and had prayed with fasting, they entrusted them to the Lord, in whom they had believed.

²⁴ Then they passed through Pisidia and came to Pamphylia.

²³ And when they had ordained priests to them by all cities, and had prayed with fastings, they betook them to the Lord, in whom they believed.

²⁴ And they passed Pisidia, and came to Pamphylia;

²¹ And when they had preached or had evangelized to that city, and taught many, they turned again to Lystra (or they returned to Lystra), and Iconium, and to Antioch;

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, and admonishing, that they should dwell in the faith, (or that they should remain in the faith, or that they should live in the faith), and said, That by many tribulations it behooveth us to enter into the kingdom of heavens.

²³ And when they had ordained priests to them by all cities, and had prayed with fastings, they betook them to the Lord (or they delivered them unto the Lord), in whom they believed.

²⁴ And they passed (through) Pisidia, and came to Pamphylia;

²¹ Having proclaimed good news also to that city, and having discipled many, they turned back to Lystra, and Iconium, and Antioch,

²² confirming the souls of the disciples, exhorting to remain in the faith, and that through many tribulations it behoveth us to enter into the reign of God,

²³ and having appointed to them by vote elders in every assembly, having prayed with fastings, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.

²⁴ And having passed through Pisidia, they came to Pamphylia,
