¹¹ Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy Spirit from me.

¹² Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; And uphold me with a willing spirit.

¹³ Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; And sinners shall be converted unto thee.

¹⁴ Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation; And my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

¹⁵ O Lord, open thou my lips; And my mouth shall show forth thy praise.

¹⁶ For thou delightest not in sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou hast no pleasure in burnt-offering.

¹² Cause/Allow me to be happy again because of knowing that you have freed me from the guilt of my sin, and make me willing to obey you.

¹³ If you do that, I will be able to teach other sinners what you want them to do, and they will repent and begin to obey you.

¹⁴ O God, you are the one who saves me; forgive me for being guilty of causing someone who was not my enemy to die. When you do that, I will sing joyfully about your being very good and righteous.

¹⁵ O Yahweh, help me to speak in order that I may praise you.

¹⁶ You are not pleased only with the sacrifices that people bring to you. If that were enough to please you, I would bring you sacrifices. You are not pleased with burnt offerings alone.

¹⁷ The sacrifice that you really want is for people to be truly humble and sorry for having sinned; O God, you will not refuse that kind of sacrifice.

¹⁸ O God, be good to the people who live in Jerusalem MTY, and help them to rebuild the city walls.

¹⁹ When that happens, they will bring you the proper sacrifices, animals that they will completely burn, young bulls that they wiill burn on your altar, and you will be pleased.

¹¹ Don’t throw me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me.

¹⁴ Be my saviour from violent death, O God, the God of my salvation; and my tongue will give praise to your righteousness.

¹⁵ O Lord, let my lips be open, so that my mouth may make clear your praise.

¹⁶ You have no desire for an offering or I would give it; you have no delight in burned offerings.

¹⁷ The offerings of God are a broken spirit; a broken and sorrowing heart, O God, you will not put from you.

¹⁸ Do good to Zion in your good pleasure, building up the walls of Jerusalem.

¹⁹ Then you will have delight in the offerings of righteousness, in burned offerings and offerings of beasts; then they will make offerings of oxen on your altar.

¹¹ Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not the spirit of thy holiness from me.

¹³ I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall return unto thee.

¹⁴ Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.

¹⁴ God, please forgive me for the blood I have shed, God of my salvation, and I will sing for joy of your goodness.

¹⁵ Open my lips so I can speak your praise!

¹⁶ For sacrifices don't make you happy, or I would bring one; burnt offerings aren't what pleases you.

¹⁷ The “sacrifices” that God wants are on the inside—the brokenness of repentance. God won't reject a broken and sorrowful heart.

¹⁸ Be kind to Zion, help the city; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

¹⁹ Then you will be pleased with sacrifices given in the right spirit, for all kinds of burnt offerings, and bulls sacrificed on your altar once more.

¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a contrite spirit: a contrite and a broken heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.

¹⁸ Bee fauourable vnto Zion for thy good pleasure: builde the walles of Ierusalem.

¹⁹ Then shalt thou accept ye sacrifices of righteousnes, euen the burnt offering and oblation: then shall they offer calues vpon thine altar.

¹⁶ For if thou haddest would or desired sacrifice, I had given it; truly thou shalt not delight in burnt sacrifice.

¹⁷ A sacrifice to God is a spirit troubled, that is, sorry for sin; God, thou shalt not despise a contrite heart, and made meek.

¹⁸ Lord, do thou benignly in thy good will to Zion; that the walls of Jerusalem be builded.

¹⁹ Then thou shalt take pleasantly the sacrifice of rightfulness or rightwise-ness, offerings, and burnt sacrifices; then they shall put calves on thine altar.

¹¹ Cast thou me not away from thy face; and take thou not away from me thine holy spirit. (Do not throw thou me away from before thee; and take thou not away thy holy spirit from me or and take thou not away thy Holy Spirit from me.)

¹² Give thou to me the gladness of thine health; and confirm thou me with the principal spirit. (Give thou to me the gladness of thy salvation, or of thy deliverance; and give thou to me a spirit willing to obey thee.)

¹³ I shall teach wicked men thy ways; and unfaithful men shall be converted to thee. (I shall teach the wicked thy ways; and the unfaithful shall return to thee.)

¹⁴ God, the God of mine health, deliver thou me from bloods, or sins; and my tongue shall joyfully sing (of) thy rightfulness. (God, the God of my salvation or the God of my deliverance, save thou me from bloodshed, or from death; and my tongue shall joyfully sing of thy righteousness, or of thy justice.)

¹⁵ Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall tell (out) thy praising.

¹⁶ For if thou haddest would sacrifice, I had given it; truly thou shalt not delight in burnt sacrifice. (For if thou haddest desired a sacrifice, that is, an offering, I would have given it to thee; but truly thou delightest not in burnt sacrifice.)

¹⁷ A sacrifice to God is a spirit troubled, that is, (one made) sorry for sin; God, thou shalt not despise a contrite heart, and made meek. (A sacrifice to God is a troubled spirit, that is, one made sorry because of sinning; God, thou shalt not despise a contrite and humble heart.)

¹⁸ Lord, do thou benignly in thy good will to Zion; (so) that the walls of Jerusalem (may) be builded.

¹⁹ Then thou shalt take pleasantly the sacrifice of rightfulness, (with) offerings, and burnt sacrifices; then they shall put calves on thine altar. (Then thou shalt be pleased with a righteous sacrifice, yea, with offerings, and burnt sacrifices; and then they shall put calves upon thy altar.)

¹¹ Cast me not forth from Thy presence, And Thy Holy Spirit take not from me.

¹² Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation, And a willing spirit doth sustain me.

¹³ I teach transgressors Thy ways, And sinners unto Thee do return.

¹⁴ Deliver me from blood, O God, God of my salvation, My tongue singeth of Thy righteousness.

¹⁵ O Lord, my lips thou dost open, And my mouth declareth Thy praise.

¹⁶ For Thou desirest not sacrifice, or I give it, Burnt-offering Thou acceptest not.

¹⁷ The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A heart broken and bruised, O God, Thou dost not despise.

¹⁸ Do good in Thy good pleasure with Zion, Thou dost build the walls of Jerusalem.

¹⁹ Then Thou desirest sacrifices of righteousness, Burnt-offering, and whole burnt-offering, Then they offer bullocks on thine altar!
