¹ For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. In thee, O Jehovah, do I take refuge; Let me never be put to shame: Deliver me in thy righteousness.

² Bow down thine ear unto me; deliver me speedily: Be thou to me a strong rock, A house of defence to save me.

³ For thou art my rock and my fortress; Therefore for thy name’s sake lead me and guide me.

⁴ Pluck me out of the net that they have laid privily for me; For thou art my stronghold.

⁵ Into thy hand I commend my spirit: Thou hast redeemed me, O Jehovah, thou God of truth.

² Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin, and in whose mouth there is no guile.

³ Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day.

⁴ For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in me. Pause.

⁵ I acknowledged my sin, and hid not mine iniquity: I said, I will confess mine iniquity to the Lord against myself; and thou forgavest the ungodliness of my heart. Pause.

² Listen to me, and save me right now! Be like a huge rock under which I can hide MET and like a strong fort in which I will be safe.

³ Yes, you are like my huge rock and my fort; guide me and lead me DOU in order that I can honor you MTY.

⁴ You are the one who protects me, so keep me from falling into the hidden traps that my enemies have set for me.

⁵ Yahweh, you are a God who can be trusted, so I put myself into your care because you rescued me.

⁴ Take me out of the net which they have put ready for me secretly; for you are my strength.

¹ To David himself, understanding. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

² Blessed is the man to whom the Lord hath not imputed sin, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

³ Because I was silent my bones grew old; whilst I cried out all the day long.

⁴ For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: I am turned in my anguish, whilst the thorn is fastened.

⁵ I have acknowledged my sin to thee, and my injustice I have not concealed. I said I will confess against myself my injustice to the Lord: and thou hast forgiven the wickedness of my sin.

¹ A psalm of David. For the music director. Lord, you are the one who keeps me safe; please don't let me ever be humiliated. Save me, because you always do what is right.

² Please listen to me, and be quick to rescue me. Be my rock of protection, my strong fortress of safety.

³ You are my rock and my fortress. For the sake of your reputation, please lead me and guide me.

⁴ Help me escape from the hidden net that they set to trap me, for you are the one who protects me.

⁵ I put myself in your hands. Save me, Lord, for you are a trustworthy God.

² Bowe downe thine eare to me: make haste to deliuer mee: be vnto me a stronge rocke, and an house of defence to saue me.

⁴ Drawe mee out of the nette, that they haue layde priuilie for mee: for thou art my strength.

⁴ (31-5) Bring me forth out of the net that they have hidden for me; for Thou art my stronghold.

² (31:3) Bend unto me thy ear; speedily deliver me: be thou unto me as a rock of protection, as a mountain strong-hold to save me.

³ (31:4) For my rock and my stronghold art thou; and for the sake of thy name lead me, and guide me.

⁴ (31:5) Draw me out of the net which they have laid secretly for me; for thou art my protection.

⁵ (31:6) Into thy hand do I commit my spirit: thou redeemest me, O Lord, the God of truth.

³ For my rock and my bulwark art Thou, For Thy name's sake lead me and tend me.

⁴ Bring me out from the net that they hid for me, For Thou art my strength.
