⁴² Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.

⁴³ Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; Thou hast made me the head of the nations: A people whom I have not known shall serve me.

⁴⁴ As soon as they hear of me they shall obey me; The foreigners shall submit themselves unto me.

⁴⁵ The foreigners shall fade away, And shall come trembling out of their close places.

⁴⁶ Jehovah liveth; and blessed be my rock; And exalted be the God of my salvation,

⁴⁷ Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, And subdueth peoples under me.

⁴² I pulverize them, with the result that they become like MET the dust that the wind blows away; I throw them out like SIM people throw dirt out into the streets.

⁴³ You enabled me to defeat those who fought against me, and appointed me to be the ruler of many nations; people whom I did not know about previously are now slaves in my kingdom.

⁴⁴ When foreigners hear about me, they ◄cringe/bow low before me► and they obey me.

⁴⁵ They are no longer courageous, and from their forts where they were hiding they come to me trembling.

⁴⁶ Yahweh is alive! Praise the one who is like an overhanging rock MET under which I am safe Exalt the God who saves me!

⁴⁷ He enables me to get revenge on my enemies; he causes me to defeat nations and to rule over them,

⁴² Then I beat them small as the dust before the wind. I cast them out as the mire of the streets.

⁴⁴ From the time when my name comes to their ears they will be ruled by me: men of other countries will, with false hearts, put themselves under my authority.

⁴⁵ They will be wasting away, they will come out of their secret places shaking with fear.

⁴⁶ The Lord is living; praise be to my Rock, and let the God of my salvation be honoured.

⁴⁷ It is God who sends punishment on my haters, and puts peoples under my rule.

⁴² And I did beat them small as dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.

⁴³ Thou hast delivered me from the strivings of the people; thou hast made me the head of the nations: a people I knew not doth serve me.

⁴⁴ At the hearing of the ear, they obey me: strangers come cringing unto me.

⁴⁵ Strangers have faded away, and they come trembling forth from their close places.

⁴⁶ Jehovah liveth; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of my salvation,

⁴⁷ The God who hath avenged me, and hath subjected the peoples to me;

⁴² I ground them into dust, like dust in the wind. I threw them out like mud in the street.

⁴³ You rescued me from rebellious people; you made me ruler over nations—people I didn't know now serve me.

⁴⁴ As soon as they hear of me, they obey; foreigners cringe before me.

⁴⁵ They lose heart, and come trembling in surrender from their strongholds.

⁴⁶ The Lord lives! Blessed be my rock! May the God who saves me be praised!

⁴⁷ God avenges me, he subdues peoples under me,

⁴² Then I did beate them small as the dust before the winde: I did treade them flat as the clay in the streetes.

⁴³ Thou hast deliuered me from the contentions of the people: thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people, whom I haue not knowen, shall serue me.

⁴⁴ As soone as they heare, they shall obey me: the strangers shall be in subiection to me.

⁴⁵ Strangers shall shrinke away, and feare in their priuie chambers.

⁴⁶ Let the Lord liue, and blessed be my strength, and the God of my saluation be exalted.

⁴⁷ It is God that giueth me power to auenge me, and subdueth the people vnder me.

⁴² (18-43) Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind; I did cast them out as the mire of the streets.

⁴³ (18-44) Thou hast delivered me from the contentions of the people; Thou hast made me the head of the nations; a people whom I have not known serve me.

⁴⁴ (18-45) As soon as they hear of me, they obey me; the sons of the stranger dwindle away before me.

⁴⁵ (18-46) The sons of the stranger fade away, and come trembling out of their close places.

⁴⁶ (18-47) The LORD liveth, and blessed be my Rock; and exalted be the God of my salvation;

⁴⁷ (18-48) Even the God that executeth vengeance for me, and subdueth peoples under me.

⁴⁴ (18:45) As soon as their ear heareth they shall be obedient to me: the children of the stranger shall utter flattery unto me.

⁴⁵ (18:46) The children of the stranger shall fade away, and come forth trembling out of their close places.

⁴⁶ (18:47) The Lord liveth, and blessed be my Rock; and exalted be the God of my salvation;

⁴⁷ (18:48) The God that granteth me vengeance, and subdueth nations under me;

⁴² I beat them small, like dust before the wind; I cast them out as the dirt of the streets.

⁴³ Thou hast delivered me from the assaults of the nations; Thou hast made me the head of the kingdoms. Nations whom I knew not serve me;

⁴⁴ They who have only heard of me obey me; Yea, men of a strange land submit themselves to me;

⁴⁵ Men of a strange land fade away, like a leaf, And come trembling from their strongholds.

⁴⁶ Jehovah is the living God; blessed be my rock; Exalted be the God of my salvation!

⁴⁷ It is God who hath given me vengeance, And subdued the nations under me;

⁴² I beat them like dust of the market-place, stamped them like mud of the streets.

⁴³ From the strife of the peoples you saved me, you made me head of the nations, peoples I knew not did serve me.

⁴⁴ On the instant they hear, they obey me, foreigners come to me cringing.

⁴⁵ Foreigners lose courage, and come out of their strongholds trembling.

⁴⁶ The Lord is alive! Blest be my rock! Exalted be God, my protector!

⁴⁷ The God who gave me revenge, and brought down nations beneath me,

⁴⁴ As soon as they heard of me, they obeyed me; foreigners were forced to bow to me.

⁴⁵ The foreigners came trembling out of their strongholds.

⁴⁶ Yahweh lives; may my rock be praised. May the God of my salvation be exalted.

⁴⁵ alien sons waxed eld; and went crooked from thy paths.

⁴⁶ The Lord liveth, and my God be blessed; and the God of mine health be enhanced.

⁴⁷ God, that givest vengeances to me, and makest subject peoples under me;

⁴² And I shall all-break them, as dust before the face of the wind; I shall do them away, as the clay of streets. (And I broke them all in pieces, so that they became like the dust in the wind; I did them away, and trampled them underfoot, like the clay in the streets.)

⁴³ Thou shalt deliver me from the against-sayings of the people; thou shalt set me into the head of folks. The people, which I knew not, hath served me; (Thou delivered me from the gainsaying of the people; thou put me as the head of the nations. The people, whom I knew not, now serve me.)

⁴⁴ in the hearing of ear it obeyed to me. Alien sons lied (down) to me, (The sons of foreigners, or of strangers, now bow down to me; and after hearing me speak, they obey me.)

⁴⁵ alien sons waxed eld; and (went) crooked from thy paths. (The courage of the sons of foreigners, or of strangers, faded away; and they slunk out of their strongholds together.)

⁴⁶ The Lord liveth, and my God be blessed; and the God of mine health be enhanced (or let the God of my salvation be exalted!).

⁴⁷ God, that givest vengeances to me, and makest subject peoples under me; (O God, who givest vengeance to me, and makest the nations subject under me;)

⁴² And I beat them as dust before wind, As mire of the streets I empty them out.

⁴³ Thou dost deliver me From the strivings of the people, Thou placest me for a head of nations, A people I have not known do serve me.

⁴⁴ At the hearing of the ear they hearken to me, Sons of a stranger feign obedience to me,

⁴⁵ Sons of a stranger fade away, And are slain out of their close places.

⁴⁶ Jehovah liveth — and blessed is my rock, And exalted is the God of my salvation.

⁴⁷ God — who is giving vengeance to me, And He subdueth peoples under me,
