Psalms 16:7-11 in English

⁷ I will bless Jehovah, who hath given me counsel; Yea, my heart instructeth me in the night seasons.

⁸ I have set Jehovah always before me: Because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

⁹ Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth: My flesh also shall dwell in safety.

¹⁰ For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol; Neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.

¹¹ Thou wilt show me the path of life: In thy presence is fulness of joy; In thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

⁷ Shew the marvels of thy mercies, thou that savest them that hope in thee.

⁸ Keep me as the apple of the eye from those that resist thy right hand: thou shalt screen me by the covering of thy wings,

⁹ from the face of the ungodly that have afflicted me: mine enemies have compassed about my soul.

¹⁰ They have enclosed themselves with their own fat: their mouth has spoken pride.

¹¹ They have now cast me out and compassed me round about: they have set their eyes so as to bow them down to the ground.

⁸ I know that Yahweh is always with me. He is beside me; so nothing will ◄perturb me/cause me to be worried►.

⁹ Therefore I am glad and I MTY, DOU rejoice; I can rest securely

¹⁰ because you, Yahweh, will not allow my soul/spirit to remain in the place where the dead people are; you will not allow me, your godly one, to stay there.

¹¹ You will show me the road that leads to receiving eternal life, and you will make me joyful when I am with you. I will have pleasure forever when I am ◄at your right hand/seated next to you►.

⁹ Therefore my heart rejoiceth, and my glory exulteth; my flesh moreover shall dwell in hope.

¹⁰ For thou wilt not leave my soul to Sheol, neither wilt thou allow thy Holy One to see corruption.

¹¹ Thou wilt make known to me the path of life: thy countenance is fulness of joy; at thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.

⁷ Shew forth thy wonderful mercies; thou who savest them that trust in thee.

⁸ From them that resist thy right hand keep me, as the apple of thy eye. Protect me under the shadow of thy wings.

⁹ From the face of the wicked who have afflicted me. My enemies have surrounded my soul:

¹⁰ They have shut up their fat: their mouth hath spoken proudly.

¹¹ They have cast me forth and now they have surrounded me: they have set their eyes bowing down to the earth.

⁷ I will bless the Lord who gives me good advice; even at night my conscience tells me what is right.

⁸ I have always kept the Lord in front of me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.

⁹ That's why I'm so happy! That's why I am full of joy! That's why my body lives in hope!

¹⁰ For you will not abandon me in the grave, nor will you allow your Holy One to experience decay.

¹¹ You have shown me the path of life, filling me with joy with your presence and the delight of living with you forever.

⁷ I wil prayse the Lord, who hath giuen me counsell: my reines also teach me in the nightes.

⁸ I haue set the Lord alwayes before me: for hee is at my right hand: therefore I shall not slide.

⁹ Wherefore mine heart is glad and my tongue reioyceth: my flesh also doeth rest in hope.

¹⁰ For thou wilt not leaue my soule in the graue: neither wilt thou suffer thine holy one to see corruption.

¹¹ Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is the fulnesse of ioy: and at thy right hand there are pleasures for euermore.

¹¹ Thou makest me to know the path of life; in Thy presence is fulness of joy, in Thy right hand bliss for evermore.

¹⁰ For thou wilt not give me up to the underworld; Nor wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see the pit.

¹¹ Thou wilt show me the path of life; In thy presence is fulness of joy; At thy right hand are pleasures for evermore.

¹¹ Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt full-fill me with gladness with thy cheer; delight-ings be in thy right half unto the end.

⁷ I shall bless the Lord, that hath given understanding to me; furthermore and my reins have blamed me unto the night. (I shall bless the Lord, who hath given me understanding; and furthermore my innards have taught me, that is, my conscience hath taught me, in the night.)

⁸ I saw before (me) evermore the Lord in my sight; for he is at the right half to me, that I be not moved. (I see the Lord before me forevermore; for he is at my right hand, and I shall not be moved or and I cannot be shaken.)

⁹ For this thing mine heart was glad, and my tongue joyed fully; furthermore and my flesh shall rest in hope. (For this thing my heart was glad, and my tongue full out joyed, or rejoiced; and furthermore, my flesh shall rest with trust, or with confidence.)

¹⁰ For thou shalt not leave my soul in hell; neither thou shalt give thine holy (man) to see corruption. (For thou shalt not leave my soul in Sheol, or the land of the dead; nor shalt thou allow thy holy man to see corruption, or decay.)

¹¹ Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt full-fill me with gladness with thy cheer; delightings be in thy right half unto the end. (Thou hast made known to me the way of life; thou shalt fill me full of gladness when I go before thee; delights be at thy right hand forever.)

⁷ I bless Jehovah who hath counselled me; Also in the nights my reins instruct me.

⁸ I did place Jehovah before me continually, Because — at my right hand I am not moved.

⁹ Therefore hath my heart been glad, And my honour doth rejoice, Also my flesh dwelleth confidently:

¹⁰ For Thou dost not leave my soul to Sheol, Nor givest thy saintly one to see corruption.

¹¹ Thou causest me to know the path of life; Fulness of joys is with Thy presence, Pleasant things by Thy right hand for ever!
