⁸ Let his days be few; And let another take his office.

⁹ Let his children be fatherless, And his wife a widow.

¹⁰ Let his children be vagabonds, and beg; And let them seek their bread out of their desolate places.

¹¹ Let the extortioner catch all that he hath; And let strangers make spoil of his labor.

¹² Let there be none to extend kindness unto him; Neither let there be any to have pity on his fatherless children.

¹³ Let his posterity be cut off; In the generation following let their name be blotted out.

¹⁴ Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered with Jehovah; And let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

¹⁵ Let them be before Jehovah continually, That he may cut off the memory of them from the earth;

¹⁶ Because he remembered not to show kindness, But persecuted the poor and needy man, And the broken in heart, to slay them.

⁸ Then, cause that he will soon die and that someone else will have his job/work (OR, possessions).

⁹ Cause that his children will not have a father anymore and that his wife will become a widow.

¹⁰ Cause that his children will be forced to leave the ruined homes that they have been living in and wander around begging for food.

¹¹ Cause that all the people to whom he owed money will seize all his property; Cause that strangers will take away everything that he worked to acquire.

¹² Cause that while he is still living no one will be kind to him, and after he dies, cause that no one will pity his children.

¹³ Cause that all his descendants will die and that his grandchildren will not remember who he MTY was.

¹⁴ Yahweh, remember and do not forgive his ancestors for the evil things that they did, and do not even forgive the sins that his mother committed;

¹⁵ think about his sins continually, and cause that his name will be completely forgotten.

¹⁶ He never was kind to anyone; he ◄persecuted/cause problems for► poor and needy people and even killed helpless people.

⁸ Let his days be few. Let another take his office.

¹⁴ Let the Lord keep in mind the wrongdoing of his fathers; and may the sin of his mother have no forgiveness.

¹⁵ Let them be ever before the eyes of the Lord, so that the memory of them may be cut off from the earth.

¹⁶ Because he had no mercy, but was cruel to the low and the poor, designing the death of the broken-hearted.

¹¹ Let the usurer cast the net over all that he hath, and let strangers despoil his labour;

¹¹ May creditors seize all that he owns; may strangers take all that he worked for.

¹³ May his descendants die; may his family name be wiped out in the next generation.

¹⁴ May the Lord be reminded of the sins of his fathers; may his mother's sins not be blotted out.

¹⁵ May their sins be constantly before the Lord; may his name be totally forgotten by people.

¹⁶ For he didn't think to be kind to others, instead he harassed and killed the poor, the needy, the brokenhearted.

⁸ Let his daies be fewe, and let another take his charge.

⁹ Let his children be fatherlesse, and his wife a widowe.

¹⁰ Let his children be vagabonds and beg and seeke bread, comming out of their places destroyed.

¹³ Let his posteritie be destroied, and in the generation following let their name be put out.

¹⁶ May Yahweh do this because this man never bothered to show any covenant faithfulness, but instead harassed the oppressed, the needy, and the disheartened to death.

¹² None helper be to him; neither any be that have mercy on his motherless children. (Let there be no one to help him; nor let anyone have mercy on his motherless children.)

¹³ His sons be made into perishing (or Let all his sons and daughters die); (and) the name of him be done away in one generation.

¹⁴ The wickedness of his fathers come again into mind in the sight of the Lord; and the sin of his mother be not done away. (Let the wickedness of his forefathers be remembered by the Lord; and let his mother’s sin be not done away,or wiped out.)

¹⁵ Be they made evermore against the Lord; and the mind of them perish from earth. (Let their sins be before the Lord forevermore; but let the remembrance of these people perish from all the earth.)

¹⁶ For that thing that he thought not to do mercy, and he pursued a poor man and a beggar; and to slay a man compunct in heart. (Because he never thought to show mercy, or love, but he persecuted the poor and the needy; and he even killed the broken-hearted.)

⁸ His days are few, his oversight another taketh,

¹⁰ And wander continually do his sons, Yea, they have begged, And have sought out of their dry places.

¹¹ An exactor layeth a snare for all that he hath, And strangers spoil his labour.

¹² He hath none to extend kindness, Nor is there one showing favour to his orphans.

¹³ His posterity is for cutting off, In another generation is their name blotted out.
