² I will be glad and exult in thee; I will sing praise to thy name, O thou Most High.

³ When mine enemies turn back, They stumble and perish at thy presence.

⁴ For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; Thou sittest in the throne judging righteously.

⁵ Thou hast rebuked the nations, thou hast destroyed the wicked; Thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.

⁶ The enemy are come to an end, they are desolate for ever; And the cities which thou hast overthrown, The very remembrance of them is perished.

⁷ But Jehovah sitteth as king for ever: He hath prepared his throne for judgment;

⁸ And he will judge the world in righteousness, He will minister judgment to the peoples in uprightness.

⁹ Jehovah also will be a high tower for the oppressed, A high tower in times of trouble;

¹⁰ And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee; For thou, Jehovah, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.

¹¹ Sing praises to Jehovah, who dwelleth in Zion: Declare among the people his doings.

¹² For he that maketh inquisition for blood remembereth them; He forgetteth not the cry of the poor.

¹³ Have mercy upon me, O Jehovah; Behold my affliction which I suffer of them that hate me, Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death;

¹⁴ That I may show forth all thy praise. In the gates of the daughter of Zion I will rejoice in thy salvation.

¹⁵ The nations are sunk down in the pit that they made: In the net which they hid is their own foot taken.

¹⁶ Jehovah hath made himself known, he hath executed judgment: The wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah

¹⁷ The wicked shall be turned back unto Sheol, Even all the nations that forget God.

² I will sing to celebrate what you MTY, who are much greater than all other gods, have done.

³ When my enemies realize that you are very powerful, they stumble, and then they are killed.

⁴ You sat on your throne to judge people, and you have judged fairly/justly concerning me.

⁵ You rebuked the people of other nations and you have gotten rid of the wicked people; you have erased their names forever.

⁶ Our enemies have disappeared; you destroyed their cities, and people do not even remember them anymore.

⁷ But Yahweh rules forever. He judges people while he sits on his throne to judge people,

⁸ and he will judge all the people in SYN the world justly; he will judge the people of all nations fairly DOU.

⁹ Yahweh will be a refuge for those who are oppressed; yes, he will be like a shelter for them when they have trouble.

¹⁰ Those who know Yahweh MTY trust in him; he never abandons those who come to him ◄ for help/to worship him►.

¹¹ Yahweh rules from Zion Hill; praise him while you sing to him. Tell the people of all the nations the marvelous things that he has done.

¹² He does not forget to punish those who have murdered others; and he will not ignore people who are crying because they are suffering.

¹³ Yahweh, be merciful to me! Look at the ways that my enemies have injured me. Do not allow me to die because of these injuries.

¹⁴ I want to live in order that I can praise you at the gates of Jerusalem MTY and to rejoice because you rescued me.

¹⁵ It is as though the wicked people of many nations have dug a pit for me to fall into MET, but they have fallen into that same pit. It is as if they spread out a net to catch me MET, but their feet have been caught in that same net.

¹⁶ Because of what you have done, people know that you decide matters fairly/justly, but you allow wicked people to be trapped by the same evil things that they themselves do.

¹⁷ Wicked people will all die and be buried in their graves, and their spirits will go to be with all those who have ◄forgotten about/rejected► you.

⁴ For you gave approval to my right and my cause; you were seated in your high place judging in righteousness.

⁵ You have said sharp words to the nations, you have sent destruction on the sinners, you have put an end to their name for ever and ever.

⁶ You have given their towns to destruction; the memory of them has gone; they have become waste for ever.

⁷ But the Lord is King for ever: he has made ready his high seat for judging.

⁸ And he will be the judge of the world in righteousness, giving true decisions for the peoples.

⁹ The Lord will be a high tower for those who are crushed down, a high tower in times of trouble;

¹⁰ And those who have knowledge of your name will put their faith in you; because you, Lord, have ever given your help to those who were waiting for you.

¹¹ Make songs of praise to the Lord, whose house is in Zion: make his doings clear to the people.

¹² When he makes search for blood, he has them in his memory: he is not without thought for the cry of the poor.

¹³ Have mercy on me, O Lord, and see how I am troubled by my haters; let me be lifted up from the doors of death;

¹⁴ So that I may make clear all your praise in the house of the daughter of Zion: I will be glad because of your salvation.

¹⁵ The nations have gone down into the hole which they made: in their secret net is their foot taken.

¹⁶ The Lord has given knowledge of himself through his judging: the evil-doer is taken in the net which his hands had made. (Higgaion. Selah.)

¹⁷ The sinners and all the nations who have no memory of God will be turned into the underworld.

⁶ Thou hast rebuked the Gentiles, and the wicked one hath perished: thou hast blotted out their name for ever and ever.

⁸ But the Lord remaineth for ever. He hath prepared his throne in judgment:

⁹ And he shall judge the world in equity, he shall judge the people in justice.

¹⁰ And the Lord is become a refuge for the poor: a helper in due time in tribulation.

¹¹ And let them trust in thee who know thy name: for thou hast not forsaken them that seek thee, O Lord.

¹² Sing ye to the Lord, who dwelleth in Sion: declare his ways among the Gentiles:

¹³ For requiring their blood he hath remembered the: he hath not forgotten the cry of the poor.

¹⁴ Have mercy on me, O Lord: see my humiliation which I suffer from my enemies.

¹⁵ Thou that liftest me up from the gates of death, that I may declare all thy praises in the gates of the daughter of Sion.

¹⁶ I will rejoice in thy salvation: the Gentiles have stuck fast in the destruction which they have prepared. Their foot hath been taken in the very snare which they hid.

¹⁷ The Lord shall be known when he executeth judgments: the sinner hath been caught in the works of his own hands.

² I will be glad and celebrate in you; I will sing praises to your wonderful nature, Most High God.

³ Those who hate me retreat; they fall back and die when you confront them.

⁴ For you have judged that I am right; you have decided fairly from your throne of judgment.

⁵ You have condemned the nations; you have destroyed the wicked; you have wiped out their names forever and ever.

⁶ The enemies are finished, ruined forever; their cities are destroyed—even the memory of them is gone.

⁷ But the Lord rules forever, his throne is set up for judgment.

⁸ The Lord judges the world rightly; he judges the nations fairly.

⁹ The Lord is a place of safety for those who are oppressed, a fortress in times of trouble.

¹⁰ Those who know your nature trust in you, for you don't abandon those who come to you.

¹¹ Sing praises to the Lord who reigns in Zion! Tell the nations what he has done!

¹² He does not forget to punish murderers; he does not ignore the cries of the suffering.

¹³ Be gracious to me, Lord! Look at how my enemies are persecuting me! Grab me back from the gates of death,

¹⁴ so I can praise you at Zion's gates, happy that you have saved me.

¹⁵ The nations have fallen into their own pit they dug; their feet are trapped by their own net they set.

¹⁶ The Lord is known for his fairness; the wicked are trapped by their own actions. Higgaion. Selah.

¹⁷ The wicked depart, going to the grave—all nations who turn their backs on God.

⁷ But the Lord shall sit for euer: hee hath prepared his throne for iudgement.

⁸ For he shall iudge the worlde in righteousnes, and shall iudge the people with equitie.

⁹ The Lord also wil be a refuge for the poore, a refuge in due time, euen in affliction.

¹⁰ And they that know thy Name, will trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not failed them that seeke thee.

¹² For whe he maketh inquisition for blood, hee remembreth it, and forgetteth not the complaint of the poore.

¹³ Haue mercie vpon mee, O Lord: consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate mee, thou that liftest me vp from the gates of death,

¹⁴ That I may shewe all thy praises within the gates of the daughter of Zion, and reioyce in thy saluation.

¹⁵ The heathen are sunken downe in the pit that they made: in the nette that they hid, is their foote taken.

¹⁶ The Lord is knowen by executing iudgement: the wicked is snared in the worke of his owne handes. Higgaion. Selah.

¹⁷ The wicked shall turne into hell, and all nations that forget God.

⁶ (9-7) O thou enemy, the waste places are come to an end for ever; and the cities which thou didst uproot, their very memorial is perished.

⁷ (9-8) But the LORD is enthroned for ever; He hath established His throne for judgment.

⁸ (9-9) And He will judge the world in righteousness, He will minister judgment to the peoples with equity.

⁹ (9-10) The LORD also will be a high tower for the oppressed, a high tower in times of trouble;

¹⁵ heathen men be fast-set in the perishing, which they made. In this snare, which they hid, the foot of them is caught. (but let the heathen be set fast in the perishing, which they themselves have made. Yea, let their feet be caught in the snare, which they themselves have hid.)

¹⁷ Sinners be turned (al)together into hell; all folks, that forget God. (Let all the sinners be sent down into Sheol, or the land of the dead; yea, all the nations who forget about God.)

² I rejoice and exult in Thee, I praise Thy Name, O Most High.

³ In mine enemies turning backward, they stumble and perish from Thy face.

⁴ For Thou hast done my judgment and my right. Thou hast sat on a throne, A judge of righteousness.

⁵ Thou hast rebuked nations, Thou hast destroyed the wicked, Their name Thou hast blotted out to the age and for ever.

⁶ O thou Enemy, Finished have been destructions for ever, As to cities thou hast plucked up, Perished hath their memorial with them.

⁷ And Jehovah to the age abideth, He is preparing for judgment His throne.

⁸ And He judgeth the world in righteousness, He judgeth the peoples in uprightness.

⁹ And Jehovah is a tower for the bruised, A tower for times of adversity.

¹⁰ They trust in Thee who do know Thy name, For Thou hast not forsaken Those seeking Thee, O Jehovah.

¹¹ Sing ye praise to Jehovah, inhabiting Zion, Declare ye among the peoples His acts,

¹² For He who is seeking for blood Them hath remembered, He hath not forgotten the cry of the afflicted.

¹³ Favour me, O Jehovah, See mine affliction by those hating me, Thou who liftest me up from the gates of death,

¹⁴ So that I recount all Thy praise, In the gates of the daughter of Zion. I rejoice on Thy salvation.

¹⁵ Sunk have nations in a pit they made, In a net that they hid hath their foot been captured.

¹⁶ Jehovah hath been known, Judgment He hath done, By a work of his hands Hath the wicked been snared. Meditation. Selah.

¹⁷ The wicked do turn back to Sheol, All nations forgetting God.
