⁹ He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?

¹⁰ He that chastiseth the nations, shall not he correct, Even he that teacheth man knowledge?

¹¹ Jehovah knoweth the thoughts of man, That they are vanity.

¹² Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O Jehovah, And teachest out of thy law;

¹³ That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, Until the pit be digged for the wicked.

¹⁴ For Jehovah will not cast off his people, Neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁵ For judgment shall return unto righteousness; And all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁶ Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

¹⁷ Unless Jehovah had been my help, My soul had soon dwelt in silence.

¹⁸ When I said, My foot slippeth; Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, held me up.

⁹ where your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works.

¹⁰ Forty years was I grieved with this generation, and said, They do always err in their heart, and they have not known my ways.

¹¹ So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.

⁹ God made our ears; so do you think that he cannot hear what you say RHQ? He created our eyes; so do you think that he cannot see the evil things that you do RHQ?

¹⁰ He also scolds the leaders of other nations; so do you think that he will not punish you RHQ? He is the one who knows everything; so why do you think that he does not know what you do RHQ?

¹¹ Yahweh knows everything that people are thinking; he knows that what they think ◄ is useless/vanishes as quickly as► smoke MET.

¹² Yahweh, you are pleased with people who want you to discipline/correct them, those who want you to teach them your laws.

¹³ When those people have had troubles, you cause those troubles to cease, and some day it will be as though you will dig pits for wicked people, and they will fall into those pits and die.

¹⁴ Yahweh will not abandon his people; he will not desert like that those who belong to him DOU.

¹⁵ Some day judges will decide matters fairly for people, and all honest/righteous people will be pleased about that.

¹⁶ But when wicked people ◄ oppressed me/treated me cruelly►, ◄who defended me?/no one defended me.► RHQ No one stood up to testify for me against those evil people RHQ.

¹⁷ If Yahweh had not helped me at that time, I would have been executed, and my soul/spirit would have gone to the place where dead people say nothing.

¹⁸ I said/thought to myself, “I am about to die,” but Yahweh, you held me up by faithfully loving me.

⁹ where your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works.

¹⁰ He who is the judge of the nations, will he not give men the reward of their acts, even he who gives knowledge to man?

¹¹ The Lord has knowledge of the thoughts of man, for they are only a breath.

¹² Happy is the man who is guided by you, O Jah, and to whom you give teaching out of your law;

¹³ So that you may give him rest from the days of evil, till a hole is made ready for the destruction of the sinners.

¹⁴ The Lord will not give up his people, or take away his support from his heritage;

¹⁵ But decisions will again be made in righteousness; and they will be kept by all whose hearts are true.

¹⁶ Who will give me help against the sinners? and who will be my support against the workers of evil?

¹⁷ If the Lord had not been my helper, my soul would quickly have gone down into death.

¹⁸ If I say, My foot is slipping; your mercy, O Lord, is my support.

⁹ As in the provocation, according to the day of temptation in the wilderness: where your fathers tempted me, they proved me, and saw my works.

¹⁰ Forty years long was I offended with that generation, and I said: These always err in heart.

¹¹ And these men have not known my ways: so I swore in my wrath that they shall not enter into my rest.

⁹ Do you think the creator of the ear can't hear? Do you think the maker of the eye can't see?

¹⁰ Do you think that the one who punishes nations won't punish you too? Do you think that the one who teaches human beings knowledge doesn't know anything?

¹¹ The Lord knows the thoughts of human beings—he knows they are pointless.

¹² Those you discipline are happy, Lord; those you teach from your Law.

¹³ You give them peace in days of trouble, until a pit is dug to trap the wicked.

¹⁴ For the Lord will not give up on his people; he will not abandon his own.

¹⁵ Justice will once again be based on what is right; those who are sincere will support it.

¹⁶ Who came to my defense against the wicked; who stood up for me against those who do evil?

¹⁷ If the Lord hadn't helped me, I would have soon gone down into the silence of the grave.

¹⁸ I shouted out, “My foot's slipping!” and your trustworthy love, Lord, kept me from falling.

⁹ Hee that planted the eare, shall hee not heare? or he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

¹⁰ Or he that chastiseth the nations, shall he not correct? hee that teacheth man knowledge, shall he not knowe?

¹¹ The Lord knoweth the thoughtes of man, that they are vanitie.

¹² Blessed is the man, whom thou chastisest, O Lord, and teachest him in thy Lawe,

¹³ That thou mayest giue him rest from the dayes of euill, whiles the pitte is digged for the wicked.

¹⁴ Surely the Lord will not faile his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁵ For iudgement shall returne to iustice, and all the vpright in heart shall follow after it.

¹⁶ Who will rise vp with me against the wicked? or who will take my part against the workers of iniquitie?

¹⁷ If the Lord had not holpen me, my soule had almost dwelt in silence.

¹⁸ When I said, My foote slideth, thy mercy, O Lord, stayed me.

¹⁴ For the Lord will not cast off his people, and his inheritance will he not forsake.

¹⁵ For unto righteousness will justice return; and it shall be followed by all the upright in heart.

¹⁶ Who will rise up for me against evil-doers? or who will stand forward for me against the workers of wickedness?

¹⁷ Unless the Lord had been a help unto me, but a little would have been wanting that my soul had dwelt in the silence of death.

¹⁸ When I said, My foot hath slipped: thy kindness, O Lord, sustained me.

¹⁴ For Adonai won’t reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁵ For judgment will teshuvah ·completely return· to righteousness. All the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁶ Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?

¹⁷ Unless Adonai had been my help, my soul would have soon lived in silence.

¹⁸ When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your cheshed ·loving-kindness·, Adonai , held me up.

⁹ He who made the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see?

¹⁰ He who disciplines the nations, does he not correct? He is the one who gives knowledge to man.

¹¹ Yahweh knows the thoughts of men, that they are vapor.

¹² Blessed is the one whom you instruct, Yahweh, the one whom you teach from your law.

¹³ You give him rest in times of trouble until a pit is dug for the wicked.

¹⁴ For Yahweh will not forsake his people or abandon his inheritance.

¹⁵ For judgment will again be righteous; and all the upright in heart will follow it.

¹⁶ Who will rise up to defend me against the evildoers? Who will stand up for me against the wicked?

¹⁷ Unless Yahweh had been my help, I would soon be lying down in the place of silence.

¹⁸ When I said, “My foot is slipping,” Your covenant faithfulness, Yahweh, held me up.

¹³ That thou assuage him from evil days; till a ditch be digged to the sinner.

¹⁴ For the Lord shall not put away his people; and he shall not forsake his heritage.

¹⁵ Till rightfulness or rightwiseness be turned into doom; and who be nigh it, all that be of rightful heart.

¹⁶ Who shall rise with me against mis-doers; either who shall stand with me against them that work wickedness?

¹⁷ No but for the Lord helped me; almost my soul had dwelled in hell.

¹⁸ If I said, My foot was stirred; Lord, thy mercy helped me.

⁹ Shall not he hear, that planted the ear; either beholdeth not he, that made the eye? (Shall he not hear, who formed the ear? shall he not see, who made the eye?)

¹⁰ Shall not he reprove, that chastiseth folks; (shall he not know), which teacheth man knowing? (Shall he not rebuke, who chastiseth the nations? shall he not know, who teacheth the people knowledge?)

¹¹ The Lord knoweth the thoughts of men; that those be (in) vain. (The Lord knoweth, that the thoughts of the people be all in vain, that is, empty, and useless, or worthless.)

¹² Blessed is the man, whom thou, Lord, hast learned; and hast taught him of thy law. (Happy is the person whom thou, Lord, hast taught; yea, whom thou hast taught thy Law.)

¹³ That thou assuage him from evil days; till a ditch be digged to the sinner. (That thou assuage him from the evil days; until a ditch be dug for the sinners.)

¹⁴ For the Lord shall not put away his people; and he shall not forsake his heritage. (For the Lord shall not reject his people; and he shall not abandon his inheritance.)

¹⁵ Till rightfulness be turned (again) into doom; and who be nigh it, all that be of rightful heart. (For judgement shall return unto righteousness; and all who have an upright heart shall follow it.)

¹⁶ Who shall rise with me against mis-doers; either who shall stand with me against them that work wickedness? (Who shall rise up for me against the evil-doers? and who shall stand up for me against those who do evil?)

¹⁷ No but for the Lord helped me; almost my soul had dwelled in hell. (If the Lord had not helped me; soon I would have slept in Sheol, or in the land of the dead, or soon I would have slept in the grave.)

¹⁸ If I said, My foot was stirred; Lord, thy mercy helped me. (But when I said, My foot is slipping! Lord, thy love held me up.)

⁹ He who planteth the ear doth He not hear? He who formeth the eye doth He not see?

¹⁰ He who is instructing nations, Doth He not reprove? He who is teaching man knowledge is Jehovah.

¹¹ He knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.

¹² O the happiness of the man Whom Thou instructest, O Jah, And out of Thy law teachest him,

¹³ To give rest to him from days of evil, While a pit is digged for the wicked.

¹⁴ For Jehovah leaveth not His people, And His inheritance forsaketh not.

¹⁵ For to righteousness judgment turneth back, And after it all the upright of heart,

¹⁶ Who riseth up for me with evil doers? Who stationeth himself for me with workers of iniquity?

¹⁷ Unless Jehovah were a help to me, My soul had almost inhabited silence.

¹⁸ If I have said, 'My foot hath slipped,' Thy kindness, O Jehovah, supporteth me.
