² Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: Render to the proud their desert.

³ Jehovah, how long shall the wicked, How long shall the wicked triumph?

⁴ They prate, they speak arrogantly: All the workers of iniquity boast themselves.

⁵ They break in pieces thy people, O Jehovah, And afflict thy heritage.

⁶ They slay the widow and the sojourner, And murder the fatherless.

⁷ And they say, Jehovah will not see, Neither will the God of Jacob consider.

⁸ Consider, ye brutish among the people; And ye fools, when will ye be wise?

⁹ He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? He that formed the eye, shall he not see?

¹⁰ He that chastiseth the nations, shall not he correct, Even he that teacheth man knowledge?

² Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise to him with psalms.

³ For the Lord is a great God, and a great king over all gods: for the Lord will not cast off his people.

⁴ For the ends of the earth are in his hands; and the heights of the mountains are his.

⁵ For the sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land.

⁶ Come, let us worship and fall down before him; and weep before the Lord that made us.

⁷ For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand.

⁸ To-day, if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, according to the day of irritation in the wilderness:

⁹ where your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works.

¹⁰ Forty years was I grieved with this generation, and said, They do always err in their heart, and they have not known my ways.

² You are the one who judges all people on the earth; so arise, and give/punish the proud leaders of our people like they deserve.

³ Yahweh, how long will those wicked people be glad/happy? It is not right that RHQ they continue being glad!

⁴ They do evil things, and they boast about doing them; how long will they be allowed to continue doing that?

⁵ Yahweh, it is as though those wicked people crush us, your people; they ◄oppress/treat cruelly► those who belong to you DOU.

⁶ They murder widows and orphans and people from other countries who think it is safe to live in our land.

⁷ Those wicked people say, “Yahweh does not see anything; so the God whom those Israelis worship does not see the evil things that we do.”

⁸ You evil people who rule Israel, you are foolish and stupid; when will you become wise RHQ?

⁹ God made our ears; so do you think that he cannot hear what you say RHQ? He created our eyes; so do you think that he cannot see the evil things that you do RHQ?

¹⁰ He also scolds the leaders of other nations; so do you think that he will not punish you RHQ? He is the one who knows everything; so why do you think that he does not know what you do RHQ?

² Be lifted up, O judge of the earth; let their reward come to the men of pride.

³ How long will sinners, O Lord, how long will sinners have joy over us?

⁴ Words of pride come from their lips; all the workers of evil say great things of themselves.

⁵ Your people are crushed by them, O Lord, your heritage is troubled,

⁶ They put to death the widow and the guest, they take the lives of children who have no father;

⁷ And they say, Jah will not see it, the God of Jacob will not give thought to it.

⁸ Give your mind to my words, you who are without wisdom among the people; you foolish men, when will you be wise?

⁹ Has he by whom your ears were planted no hearing? or is he blind by whom your eyes were formed?

¹⁰ He who is the judge of the nations, will he not give men the reward of their acts, even he who gives knowledge to man?

² Stand up, judge of the earth, and pay back those who are proud what they deserve.

³ How long, Lord? How long will the wicked celebrate in triumph?

⁴ How long will you let them pour out their arrogant words? How long will these evil people go on boasting?

⁵ Lord, they crush your people; they oppress those you call your own.

⁶ They kill widows and foreigners; they murder orphans.

⁷ They say, “The Lord can't see what we're doing. Israel's God doesn't pay any attention to us.”

⁸ Take another look, you stupid people! Fools—when will you ever get the point?

⁹ Do you think the creator of the ear can't hear? Do you think the maker of the eye can't see?

¹⁰ Do you think that the one who punishes nations won't punish you too? Do you think that the one who teaches human beings knowledge doesn't know anything?

² Exalt thy selfe, O Iudge of the worlde, and render a reward to the proude.

³ Lord how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?

⁴ They prate and speake fiercely: all the workers of iniquitie vaunt themselues.

⁵ They smite downe thy people, O Lord, and trouble thine heritage.

⁶ They slay the widowe and the stranger, and murder the fatherlesse.

⁷ Yet they say, The Lord shall not see: neither will the God of Iaakob regard it.

⁸ Vnderstande ye vnwise among the people: and ye fooles, when will ye be wise?

⁹ Hee that planted the eare, shall hee not heare? or he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

¹⁰ Or he that chastiseth the nations, shall he not correct? hee that teacheth man knowledge, shall he not knowe?

⁸ Be instructed, ye most stupid of mankind! O when, ye fools, will ye be wise?

¹⁰ He that chastiseth nations, shall not he punish? He that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?

³ How long will the wicked, Yahweh, how long will the wicked rejoice?

⁴ They pour out their arrogant words; all those who do evil boast.

⁵ They crush your people, Yahweh; they afflict the nation that belongs to you.

⁶ They kill the widow and foreigner who lives in their country, and they murder the fatherless.

⁷ They say, “Yahweh will not see, the God of Jacob does not take notice of it.”

⁸ Understand, you stupid people! You fools, when will you ever learn?

⁹ He who made the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see?

¹⁰ He who disciplines the nations, does he not correct? He is the one who gives knowledge to man.

⁴ They shall tell out, and shall speak wickedness; all men shall speak that work unrightfulness.

⁵ Lord, they have made low thy people; and they have dis-eased thine heritage.

⁶ They killed a widow and a come-ling; and they have slain fatherless children and motherless.

⁷ And they said, The Lord shall not see it; and, God of Jacob shall not understand.

⁸ Ye unwise men in the people, understand; and, ye fools, learn some-time.

⁹ Shall not he hear, that planted the ear; either beholdeth not he, that made the eye?

¹⁰ Shall not he reprove, that chastiseth folks; shall he not know, which teacheth man knowing?

² Be thou enhanced that deemest the earth; yield thou (a) yielding to proud men. (Be thou raised up, who judgest the earth; and punish thou those, who be proud.)

³ Lord, how long sinners; how long shall sinners have glory? (Lord, how long shall the sinners, yea, how long shall the sinners have glory?)

⁴ They shall tell out, and shall speak wickedness; all men shall speak that work unrightfulness. (They boast, and they all speak wickedness; yea, all who work unrighteousness have glory in themselves.)

⁵ Lord, they have made low thy people; and they have dis-eased thine heritage. (Lord, they have beaten down thy people; and they have distressed thy inheritance.)

⁶ They killed a widow and a comeling; and they have slain fatherless children and motherless. (They have killed widows and newcomers, or strangers; and they have slain the fatherless and the motherless, or the orphans.)

⁷ And they said, The Lord shall not see (it); and, (The) God of Jacob shall not understand.

⁸ Ye unwise men in the people, understand; and, ye fools, learn sometime. (Understand this, ye ignorant among the people; and learn something, ye fools.)

⁹ Shall not he hear, that planted the ear; either beholdeth not he, that made the eye? (Shall he not hear, who formed the ear? shall he not see, who made the eye?)

¹⁰ Shall not he reprove, that chastiseth folks; (shall he not know), which teacheth man knowing? (Shall he not rebuke, who chastiseth the nations? shall he not know, who teacheth the people knowledge?)

² Be lifted up, O Judge of the earth, Send back a recompence on the proud.

³ Till when do the wicked, O Jehovah? Till when do the wicked exult?

⁴ They utter — they speak an old saw, All working iniquity do boast themselves.

⁵ Thy people, O Jehovah, they bruise, And Thine inheritance they afflict.

⁶ Widow and sojourner they slay, And fatherless ones they murder.

⁷ And they say, 'Jehovah doth not see, And the God of Jacob doth not consider.'

⁸ Consider, ye brutish among the people, And ye foolish, when do ye act wisely?

⁹ He who planteth the ear doth He not hear? He who formeth the eye doth He not see?

¹⁰ He who is instructing nations, Doth He not reprove? He who is teaching man knowledge is Jehovah.
