¹⁴ For Jehovah will not cast off his people, Neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁵ For judgment shall return unto righteousness; And all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁶ Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

¹⁷ Unless Jehovah had been my help, My soul had soon dwelt in silence.

¹⁸ When I said, My foot slippeth; Thy lovingkindness, O Jehovah, held me up.

¹⁹ In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul.

²⁰ Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with thee, Which frameth mischief by statute?

²¹ They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, And condemn the innocent blood.

²² But Jehovah hath been my high tower, And my God the rock of my refuge.

²³ And he hath brought upon them their own iniquity, And will cut them off in their own wickedness; Jehovah our God will cut them off.

¹⁴ Yahweh will not abandon his people; he will not desert like that those who belong to him DOU.

¹⁵ Some day judges will decide matters fairly for people, and all honest/righteous people will be pleased about that.

¹⁶ But when wicked people ◄ oppressed me/treated me cruelly►, ◄who defended me?/no one defended me.► RHQ No one stood up to testify for me against those evil people RHQ.

¹⁷ If Yahweh had not helped me at that time, I would have been executed, and my soul/spirit would have gone to the place where dead people say nothing.

¹⁸ I said/thought to myself, “I am about to die,” but Yahweh, you held me up by faithfully loving me.

¹⁹ Whenever I am very worried, you comfort/encourage me and cause me to be happy.

²⁰ You have nothing to do with wicked judges, who establish laws that allow people to do what is not legal.

²¹ They plan to get rid of righteous people, and they declare that ◄innocent people/people who have not done what is wrong► must be executed.

²² But Yahweh ◄has become like my fortress/protects me► MET; my God is like a huge rock under which I am protected/safe MET.

²³ He will punish those wicked leaders in return for the wicked things that they have done, and will get rid of them for the sins that they have committed; yes, Yahweh our God will ◄wipe them out/destroy them completely►.

¹⁴ The Lord will not give up his people, or take away his support from his heritage;

¹⁵ But decisions will again be made in righteousness; and they will be kept by all whose hearts are true.

¹⁶ Who will give me help against the sinners? and who will be my support against the workers of evil?

¹⁷ If the Lord had not been my helper, my soul would quickly have gone down into death.

¹⁸ If I say, My foot is slipping; your mercy, O Lord, is my support.

¹⁹ Among all my troubled thoughts, your comforts are the delight of my soul.

²⁰ What part with you has the seat of sin, which makes evil into a law?

²¹ They are banded together against the soul of the upright, to give decisions against those who have done no wrong.

²² But the Lord is my safe resting-place; my God is the Rock where I am safe.

²³ And he has made their evil designs come back on themselves, cutting them off in their sin; the Lord our God will put an end to them.

²¹ They band together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.

²² But Jehovah will be my high tower; and my God the rock of my refuge.

²³ And he will bring upon them their iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil: Jehovah our God will cut them off.

¹⁴ For the Lord will not give up on his people; he will not abandon his own.

¹⁵ Justice will once again be based on what is right; those who are sincere will support it.

¹⁶ Who came to my defense against the wicked; who stood up for me against those who do evil?

¹⁷ If the Lord hadn't helped me, I would have soon gone down into the silence of the grave.

¹⁸ I shouted out, “My foot's slipping!” and your trustworthy love, Lord, kept me from falling.

¹⁹ When my mind was full of worries, you comforted me and encouraged me.

²⁰ Can unjust judges really be on your side, Lord, when their corrupt use of the law causes misery?

²¹ They work together to destroy good people; they condemn those who are innocent to death.

²² But the Lord protects me like a fortress; my God is the rock that keeps me safe.

²³ He will turn the wickedness of evil people back upon them; he will destroy them because of their sins; the Lord our God will destroy them.

¹⁴ Surely the Lord will not faile his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁵ For iudgement shall returne to iustice, and all the vpright in heart shall follow after it.

¹⁶ Who will rise vp with me against the wicked? or who will take my part against the workers of iniquitie?

¹⁷ If the Lord had not holpen me, my soule had almost dwelt in silence.

¹⁸ When I said, My foote slideth, thy mercy, O Lord, stayed me.

¹⁹ In the multitude of my thoughts in mine heart, thy comfortes haue reioyced my soule.

²⁰ Hath the throne of iniquitie fellowship with thee, which forgeth wrong for a Lawe?

²¹ They gather them together against the soule of the righteous, and condemne the innocent blood.

²² But the Lord is my refuge, and my God is the rocke of mine hope.

²³ And hee will recompence them their wickednes, and destroy them in their owne malice: yea, the Lord our God shall destroy them.

¹⁴ For the LORD will not cast off His people, neither will He forsake His inheritance.

¹⁵ For right shall return unto justice, and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁶ Who will rise up for me against the evil-doers? Who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

²⁰ Shall the seat of wickedness have fellowship with Thee, which frameth mischief by statute?

²¹ They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn innocent blood.

²² But the LORD hath been my high tower, and my God the rock of my refuge.

²³ And He hath brought upon them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own evil; the LORD our God will cut them off.

²⁰ Can there be associated with thee the throne of destructive wickedness, which frameth mischief as a law?

²¹ They band themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and innocent blood do they condemn.

²² But the Lord is become my defence, and my God, the rock of my refuge.

²³ And he will bring back upon them their own injustice, and in their own wickedness will he destroy them: yea, he will destroy them—the Lord our God.

¹⁴ For the LORD will not forsake his people, Nor abandon his own inheritance.

¹⁵ For judgment shall return to justice, And all the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁶ Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evil-doers?

²⁰ Shall with thee be allied the throne of iniquity, Which deviseth mischief against law?

²¹ They band together against the life of the righteous, And condemn innocent blood.

²² But the LORD is my fortress, And my God the rock of my refuge.

²³ He will bring upon them their own iniquity; Yea, through their own wickedness he will cut them off; Yea, the LORD, our God, will cut them off.

²¹ They gather themselves together against the soul of the upright, and condemn the innocent blood.

²² But Adonai has been my high tower, my God, the rock of my refuge.

²³ He has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. Adonai , our God, will cut them off.

¹⁹ When cares within me are many, your consolations make me happy.

²⁰ Can a throne of destruction be allied with you, one who creates injustice by statute?

²¹ They conspire together to take the life of the righteous and they condemn the innocent to death.

²² But Yahweh has been my high tower, and my God has been the rock of my refuge.

²³ He will bring on them their own iniquity and will cut them off in their own wickedness. Yahweh our God will cut them off.

¹⁷ No but for the Lord helped me; almost my soul had dwelled in hell.

¹⁸ If I said, My foot was stirred; Lord, thy mercy helped me.

¹⁹ After the multitude of my sorrows in mine heart; thy comforts made glad my soul.

²⁰ Whether the seat of wickedness cleaveth to thee; that makest travail in commandment?

²¹ They shall take hold against the soul of a just or rightwise man; and they shall condemn innocent blood.

²² And the Lord was made to me into refuge; and my God was made into the help of mine hope.

²³ And he shall yield to them the wickedness of them; and in the malice of them he shall lose them, our Lord God shall lose them.

¹⁴ For the Lord shall not put away his people; and he shall not forsake his heritage. (For the Lord shall not reject his people; and he shall not abandon his inheritance.)

¹⁵ Till rightfulness be turned (again) into doom; and who be nigh it, all that be of rightful heart. (For judgement shall return unto righteousness; and all who have an upright heart shall follow it.)

¹⁶ Who shall rise with me against mis-doers; either who shall stand with me against them that work wickedness? (Who shall rise up for me against the evil-doers? and who shall stand up for me against those who do evil?)

¹⁷ No but for the Lord helped me; almost my soul had dwelled in hell. (If the Lord had not helped me; soon I would have slept in Sheol, or in the land of the dead, or soon I would have slept in the grave.)

¹⁸ If I said, My foot was stirred; Lord, thy mercy helped me. (But when I said, My foot is slipping! Lord, thy love held me up.)

¹⁹ After the multitude of my sorrows in mine heart; thy comforts made glad my soul. (And after a multitude of sorrows gathered together in my heart; once again thy comfort gladdened my soul.)

²⁰ Whether the seat of wickedness cleaveth to thee; that makest travail in commandment? (Shall the throne of wickedness cleave to thee; thou who makest trespass within the commandments? or thou who makest trespass by the commandments?)

²¹ They shall take (hold) against the soul of a just man; and they shall condemn innocent blood. (For they gather themselves together against the life of the righteous; and they condemn the innocent to death.)

²² And the Lord was made to me into refuge (or But the Lord was made my refuge); and my God was made into the help of mine hope.

²³ And he shall yield to them the wickedness of them; and in the malice of them he shall lose them, our Lord God shall lose them. (And he shall punish them for their wickedness; he shall destroy them for their malice, yea, the Lord our God shall destroy them.)

¹⁵ For to righteousness judgment turneth back, And after it all the upright of heart,

¹⁶ Who riseth up for me with evil doers? Who stationeth himself for me with workers of iniquity?

¹⁸ If I have said, 'My foot hath slipped,' Thy kindness, O Jehovah, supporteth me.

¹⁹ In the abundance of my thoughts within me, Thy comforts delight my soul.

²⁰ Is a throne of mischief joined with Thee? A framer of perverseness by statute?

²¹ They decree against the soul of the righteous, And innocent blood declare wicked.

²² And Jehovah is for a high place to me, And my God is for a rock — my refuge,
