Help us?

Psalms 90:6-16 in American Standard Version (1901)

6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth up; In the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
7 For we are consumed in thine anger, And in thy wrath are we troubled.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, Our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: We bring our years to an end as a sigh.
10 The days of our years are threescore years and ten, Or even by reason of strength fourscore years; Yet is their pride but labor and sorrow; For it is soon gone, and we fly away.
11 Who knoweth the power of thine anger, And thy wrath according to the fear that is due unto thee?
12 So teach us to number our days, That we may get us a heart of wisdom.
13 Return, O Jehovah; how long? And let it repent thee concerning thy servants.
14 Oh satisfy us in the morning with thy lovingkindness, That we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, And the years wherein we have seen evil.
16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, And thy glory upon their children.

Psalms 90:6-16 in Brenton Septuagint Translation

6 nor of the evil thing that walks in darkness; nor of calamity, and the evil spirit at noon-day.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou observe and see the reward of sinners.
9 For thou, O Lord, art my hope: thou, my soul, hast made the Most High thy refuge.
10 No evils shall come upon thee, and no scourge shall draw nigh to thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge concerning thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
12 They shall bear thee up on their hands, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
13 Thou shalt tread on the asp and basilisk: and thou shalt trample on the lion and dragon.
14 For he has hoped in me, and I will deliver him: I will protect him, because he has known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will hearken to him: I am with him in affliction; and I will deliver him, and glorify him.
16 I will satisfy him with length of days, and shew him my salvation.

Psalms 90:6-16 in Translation for Translators

6 In the morning DOU the grass sprouts and grows well, but in the evening it dries up and ◄completely withers/dies►.
7 Similarly, because of the sins that we have committed, you become angry with us; you terrify us and then you destroy us.
8 It is as though you place our sins in front of you, you spread out even our secret sins where you can see them.
9 Because you are angry with us, you cause our lives to end; the years that we live pass as quickly as a sigh does.
10 People live for only 70 years; but if they are strong, some of them live for 80 years. But even during good years we have much pain and troubles; our lives soon end, and we die EUP.
11 No one RHQ has fully experienced the powerful things you can do to them when you are angry with them, and people are not afraid that you will greatly punish them because of your being angry with them.
12 So teach/help us to realize that we live for only a short time in order that we may use our time wisely.
13 Yahweh, how long will you be angry with us? Pity us who serve you.
14 Each morning show us that your faithfully loving us is enough for us in order that we may shout joyfully and be happy for the rest of our lives.
15 Cause us to now be as happy for as many years as you ◄afflicted us/caused us to be sad► and we experienced troubles.
16 Enable us to see the great things that you do and enable our descendants to also see your glorious power.

Psalms 90:6-16 in Bible in Basic English

6 In the morning it is green; in the evening it is cut down, and becomes dry.
7 We are burned up by the heat of your passion, and troubled by your wrath.
8 You have put our evil doings before you, our secret sins in the light of your face.
9 For all our days have gone by in your wrath; our years come to an end like a breath.
10 The measure of our life is seventy years; and if through strength it may be eighty years, its pride is only trouble and sorrow, for it comes to an end and we are quickly gone.
11 Who has knowledge of the power of your wrath, or who takes note of the weight of your passion?
12 So give us knowledge of the number of our days, that we may get a heart of wisdom.
13 Come back, O Lord; how long? let your purpose for your servants be changed.
14 In the morning give us your mercy in full measure; so that we may have joy and delight all our days.
15 Make us glad in reward for the days of our sorrow, and for the years in which we have seen evil.
16 Make your work clear to your servants, and your glory to their children.

9 Because thou, O Lord, art my hope: thou hast made the most High thy refuge.

6 it sprouts in the morning, fresh and new, but by the evening it is withered and dead.
7 We are burned up by your anger, terrified by your fury.
8 You have set out our sins before you—our secret sins are visible in the light of your presence.
9 Our lives fade away under your anger, coming to an end as quickly as a sigh.
10 We live for seventy years—eighty if we have the strength. But even in the prime of life all that we have is hardship and suffering. Soon our lives are over and we're gone.
11 Who can know the power of your anger? Who understands your fury so you can be shown reverence?
12 Teach us to value every one of our days so we can live wisely!
13 Lord, how long will it be before you come back to us and have pity on us your servants?
14 Show us every morning your trustworthy love so we may be happy, full of joy throughout our lives.
15 Make us glad for as many days as you made us sad, for all the years we suffered!
16 May we, your servants, see you at work for us again; may our children see your glory.

6 In the morning it blossometh, and is changed: in the evening it is mowed off, and withereth.
7 For thus are we consumed by thy anger, and by thy fury are we terrified.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our concealed sins before the light of thy countenance.
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we consume our years like a word that is spoken.
10 The days of our years in this life are seventy years; and if by uncommon vigor they be eighty, yet is their greatness trouble and mishap; for it soon hasteneth off, and we fly away.
11 Who knoweth the strength of thy anger, and thy wrath which is like the fear of thee?
12 Let us then know how to number our days, that we may obtain a heart endowed with wisdom.
13 Return, O Lord, how long yet? and bethink thee concerning thy servants.
14 O satisfy us in the morning with thy kindness, that we may be glad and rejoice throughout all our days.
15 Cause us to rejoice as many days as those wherein thou hast afflicted us, the years wherein we have seen unhappiness.

9 For all our days have passed away in your wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh.
10 The days of our years are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty years; yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it passes quickly, and we fly away.
11 Who knows the power of your anger, your wrath according to the fear that is due to you?
12 So teach us to count our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
13 Relent, Yahweh! How long? Have compassion on your servants!
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen evil.
16 Let your work appear to your servants, your glory to their children.

Psalms 90:6-16 in Noah Webster Bible

6 In the morning it flourisheth, and groweth; in the evening it is cut down, and withereth.
7 For we are consumed by thy anger, and by thy wrath are we troubled.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before thee, our secret sins in the light of thy countenance.
9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years, as a tale that is told .
10 The days of our years are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet is their strength labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.
11 Who knoweth the power of thy anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts to wisdom.
13 Return, O LORD, how long? and repent thou concerning thy servants.
14 O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
15 Make us glad according to the days in which thou hast afflicted us, and the years in which we have seen evil.
16 Let thy work appear to thy servants, and thy glory to their children.

Psalms 90:6-16 in Wycliffe's Bible with Modern Spelling

6 early flourish he, and pass; in the eventide fall he down, be he hard, and wax he dry.
7 For we have failed in thine ire; and we be troubled in thy strong vengeance.
8 Thou hast set or put our wicked-nesses in thy sight; our world in the lightening of thy cheer.
9 For all our days have failed; and we have failed in thine ire. Our years we shall bethink upon as a spider;
10 the days of our years be those seventy years. Forsooth, if fourscore or eighty years be in mighty men; and the more time of them is travail and sorrow. For mildness came above; and we shall be chastised.
11 Who knew the power of thine ire; and durst number thine ire for thy dread?
12 Make thy right hand so known; and make men learned in heart by wisdom.
13 Lord, be thou converted some-deal; and be thou able to be prayed of by thy servants.
14 We were ful filled early with thy mercy; we made full out joy, and we delighted in all our days.
15 We were glad for the days in which thou madest us meek; for the years in which we saw evils.
16 Lord, behold thou into thy servants, and into thy works; and dress thou the sons of them.

Psalms 90:6-16 in Wycliffe's Bible with Modern Spelling (Enhanced)

6 early flourish he, and pass; in the eventide fall he down, be he hard, and wax he dry. (yea, that flourisheth in the morning, and groweth up; and then, in the evening, it falleth down, and hardeneth, and groweth dry.)
7 For we have failed in thine ire; and we be troubled in thy strong vengeance. (For we be brought to an end by thy anger; and we be dis-eased, or distressed, by thy fury.)
8 Thou hast set our wickednesses in thy sight; our world in the lightening of thy cheer. (Thou hast set our wickednesses before thee; our secret sins in the full light of thy face.)
9 For all our days have failed; and we have failed in thine ire. Our years (we) shall bethink upon as a spider; (For all our days be brought to an end by thy anger. All our years we shall remember as but a whisper;)
10 the days of our years be those seventy years. Forsooth, if fourscore years/if eighty years be in mighty men; and (yet) the more time of them is travail and sorrow. For mildness came above; and we shall be chastised. (and the days of our years be those seventy years. For strong people, they be eighty years; yet most of that time is trouble, or labour, and sorrow. For life is short; and then we be gone.)
11 Who knew the power of thine ire; and durst number thine ire for thy dread? (Who knoweth the power of thy anger? and who knoweth thy anger better than those who fear thee?)
12 Make thy right hand so known; and make men learned in heart by wisdom. (Make thy right hand, or thy power, known to us, or Teach us that our days be short; and so make people learned in their hearts with thy wisdom.)
13 Lord, be thou converted some-deal; and be thou able to be prayed of (by) thy servants. (Lord, how long until thou be turned somewhat; and then thou be able to be prayed to, or petitioned by, thy servants?)
14 We were ful filled early with thy mercy; we made full out joy, and we delighted in all our days. (Fulfill us or Fill us full each morning with thy love; so that we can rejoice, and be glad, in all our days.)
15 We were glad for the days in which thou madest us meek; for the years in which we saw evils. (Make us glad now in recompense for the days in which thou hast humbled us; yea, for the years in which we endured evils.)
16 Lord, behold thou into thy servants, and into thy works; and (ad)dress thou, (or direct thou), the sons of them. (Lord, let thy servants see thy mighty works; and our sons and daughters see thy glory.)

Psalms 90:6-16 in Young's Literal Translation

6 In the morning it flourisheth, and hath changed, At evening it is cut down, and hath withered.
7 For we were consumed in Thine anger, And in Thy fury we have been troubled.
8 Thou hast set our iniquities before Thee, Our hidden things at the light of Thy face,
9 For all our days pined away in Thy wrath, We consumed our years as a meditation.
10 Days of our years, in them are seventy years, And if, by reason of might, eighty years, Yet is their enlargement labour and vanity, For it hath been cut off hastily, and we fly away.
11 Who knoweth the power of Thine anger? And according to Thy fear — Thy wrath?
12 To number our days aright let us know, And we bring the heart to wisdom.
13 Turn back, O Jehovah, till when? And repent concerning Thy servants.
14 Satisfy us at morn with Thy kindness, And we sing and rejoice all our days.
15 Cause us to rejoice according to the days Wherein Thou hast afflicted us, The years we have seen evil.
16 Let Thy work appear unto Thy servants, And Thine honour on their sons.
