³⁰ If his children forsake my law, And walk not in mine ordinances;

³¹ If they break my statutes, And keep not my commandments;

³² Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.

³³ But my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, Nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

³⁴ My covenant will I not break, Nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

³⁵ Once have I sworn by my holiness: I will not lie unto David:

³¹ If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;

³³ But I will not stop faithfully loving David, and I will always do what I promised him.

³⁴ I will not break the agreement that I made with him; I will not change even one word that I spoke to him.

³⁵ Once I made a solemn promise to David, and that will never change, and because I am God, I will never lie to David.

³⁰ But if his descendants abandon my laws, if they do not follow my rules,

³¹ if they break my decrees, and do not keep my commandments,

³² I will punish their rebellion by beating them with a rod, and their sin by lashing them with a whip.

³³ However, I will not take away my love from him; I will not break my promise to him.

³⁴ I will not annul the agreement I have with him; I will not alter a single word I've said.

³⁵ By my holy character I have made a vow to David that I will not lie to him.

³⁰ But if his children forsake my Lawe, and walke not in my iudgements:

³¹ If they breake my statutes, and keepe not my commandements:

³² Then will I visite their transgression with the rod, and their iniquitie with strokes.

³³ Yet my louing kindnesse will I not take from him, neither will I falsifie my trueth.

³⁵ I haue sworne once by mine holines, that I will not fayle Dauid, saying,

³⁴ I will not break my covenant ·binding contract between two or more parties·, nor alter what my lips have uttered.

³⁵ Once have I sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David Beloved.

³¹ if they break my rules and do not keep my commands,

³² then will I punish their rebellion with a rod and their iniquity with blows.

³³ But I will not remove my steadfast love from him or be unfaithful to my promise.

³⁴ Neither I shall make unholy my testament; and I shall not make void those things that come forth of my lips.

³⁵ Once I swore in mine holiness, I shall not lie to David;

³⁰ Forsooth if his sons forsake my law; and go not in my dooms. (But if his sons abandon my Law; and do not go in my judgements.)

³¹ If they make unholy my rightfulnesses; and keep not my commandments. (If they break my statutes; and do not obey my commandments.)

³² I shall visit in a rod the wickednesses of them; and in beatings the sins of them. (Then I shall punish their wickednesses with a rod; and their sins with beatings.)

³³ But I shall not scatter my mercy from him; and in my truth I shall not harm him. (But I shall not take away my love from him; and I shall be faithful to him.)

³¹ If My statutes they pollute, And My commands do not keep,

³² I have looked after with a rod their transgression, And with strokes their iniquity,

³³ And My kindness I break not from him, Nor do I deal falsely in My faithfulness.

³⁴ I profane not My covenant, And that which is going forth from My lips I change not.
