²⁸ My lovingkindness will I keep for him for evermore; And my covenant shall stand fast with him.

²⁹ His seed also will I make to endure for ever, And his throne as the days of heaven.

³⁰ If his children forsake my law, And walk not in mine ordinances;

³¹ If they break my statutes, And keep not my commandments;

³² Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, And their iniquity with stripes.

²⁸ My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

²⁹ I will establish a line of his descendants that will never end, various ones of his descendants will always be kings.

³⁰ But, if some of his descendants disobey my laws, and do not not behave like my commands say that they should,

³¹ if they disregard my requirements and do not do the right things that I have told them to do,

³² I will punish them severely MTY and cause them to suffer for doing wrong.

³⁰ If his children give up my law, and are not ruled by my decisions;

³¹ If my rules are broken, and my orders are not kept;

³² Then I will send punishment on them for their sin; my rod will be the reward of their evil-doing.

²⁸ My loving-kindness will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him;

²⁹ And I will establish his seed for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

³⁰ If his sons forsake my law, and walk not in mine ordinances;

³¹ If they profane my statutes, and keep not my commandments:

³² Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

²⁸ I will love him faithfully forever; my agreement with him shall never come to an end.

²⁹ I will make sure his royal line lasts forever; his dynasty will continue as long as the heavens endure.

³⁰ But if his descendants abandon my laws, if they do not follow my rules,

³¹ if they break my decrees, and do not keep my commandments,

³² I will punish their rebellion by beating them with a rod, and their sin by lashing them with a whip.

²⁸ My mercie will I keepe for him for euermore, and my couenant shall stande fast with him.

²⁹ His seede also will I make to endure for euer, and his throne as the dayes of heauen.

³⁰ But if his children forsake my Lawe, and walke not in my iudgements:

³¹ If they breake my statutes, and keepe not my commandements:

³² Then will I visite their transgression with the rod, and their iniquitie with strokes.

³⁰ Should his children forsake my law, And walk not in my statutes,

³¹ Should they break my commandments, And observe not my precepts,

³² I will punish their transgressions with a rod, And their iniquity with stripes.

²⁸ “My love will I keep for him ever, my covenant with him shall stand fast.

³¹ if they break my regulations, and don’t keep my mitzvot ·instructions·;

²⁸ I will extend my covenant faithfulness to him forever; and my covenant with him will be secure.

²⁹ I will make his descendants endure forever and his throne as enduring as the skies above.

³⁰ If his children forsake my law and do not walk in my regulations,

³¹ if they break my rules and do not keep my commands,

³² then will I punish their rebellion with a rod and their iniquity with blows.

³¹ If they make unholy my rightful-nesses; and keep not my command-ments.

³² I shall visit in a rod the wicked-nesses of them; and in beatings the sins of them.

²⁸ Into Without end I shall keep my mercy to him; and my testament faithful to him. (I shall hold onto my love for him forever; and faithfully keep my covenant with him.)

²⁹ And I shall set his seed into the world of world; and his throne as the days of heaven. (And I shall establish his descendants forever and ever; and his throne for as long as the days of the heavens, that is, for as long as the heavenly bodies endure.)

³⁰ Forsooth if his sons forsake my law; and go not in my dooms. (But if his sons abandon my Law; and do not go in my judgements.)

³¹ If they make unholy my rightfulnesses; and keep not my commandments. (If they break my statutes; and do not obey my commandments.)

³² I shall visit in a rod the wickednesses of them; and in beatings the sins of them. (Then I shall punish their wickednesses with a rod; and their sins with beatings.)

²⁸ To the age I keep for him My kindness, And My covenant is stedfast with him.

²⁹ And I have set his seed for ever, And his throne as the days of the heavens.

³⁰ If his sons forsake My law, And in My judgments do not walk;

³¹ If My statutes they pollute, And My commands do not keep,

³² I have looked after with a rod their transgression, And with strokes their iniquity,
